Group 5 Hole 1 Babson (-2) - nice start to the round as Babson birdies out of the gate (-3) Storms (-3) - sand game isn't up to the task and Storms drops a stroke early (-2) Hole 2 Babson (-3) - and just like that Babson gives a stroke back (-2) Storms (-2) - nice par Hole 3 Babson (-2) - solid par Storms (-2) - solid par Hole 4 Babson (-2) - up and down to save par Storms (-2) - solid par Hole 5 Babson (-2) - solid par Storms (-2) - birdie putt never really scares the hole Hole 6 Babson (-2) - has a birdie change but a terrible putt forces him to settle for par Storms (-2) - solid par Hole 7 Babson (-2) - solid par Storms (-2) - missed a tough birdie putt with 8 inches of break Hole 8 Babson (-2) - solid par Storms (-2) - player misses another tough birdie putt - player keeps finding himself on the wrong side of the hole to attack with the putt Hole 9 Babson (-2) - Player had a birdie putt but of course it was no where close to the hole Storms (-2) - Player is able to get the par after missing the fairway off the tee Hole 10 Babson (-2) - solid par Storms (-2) - this time it is Serge's turn to miss a short birdie putt...this one burns the edge from 7 feet. Group 9 Hole 1 Fujita (-4) - rather than try and rip it Jimmy focuses on placement and he is so accurate off the tee he couldn't walk out in the fairway and place it any better. Update 17 Hole 17 Doyle (1) – up and down for par Frazier (E) – drops a shot (1) O’Peake (-2) – solid par Hole 16 Storms (-1) – tough pin placement makes for a difficult birdie putt. Update 20 Hole 18 Puller (-4) –drive finds the trees and player can’t scramble out of trouble without dropping a shot (-3) Dawson (-2) – just like his playing partner, Dawson is in the trees. His scrambling isn’t much better and he also drops a shot (-1) Hole 17 Finch (-5) - solid par Porter (-1) – birdies (-2) Hole 16 Finley (-5) – up and down to save par Justyce (-6) – solid par Hole 15 Babson (-4) – solid par Dorsey (-3) - solid par Hole 14 Courtney (-7) - solid par Vecchio (-6) – knocks the approach tight and make the putt (-7) Hole 13 Rhodes (-8) – scratches out a par Robie (-7) – too aggressive and inaccurate off the tee (-6) Hole 12 Koekela (-5) – solid par Hawkins (-10) – solid par Hole 11 Fujita (-10) – thought about trying to get his dropped stroke back quickly but smartly decided against it, took the big number out of play and recorded a par. Update 21 Hole 18 Finch (-5) – short game saves par Porter (-2) – birdie putt is a non-factor Hole 17 Finley (-5) – solid par Justyce (-6) – solid par Hole 16 Babson (-4) – solid par Dorsey (-3) - solid par Hole 15 Courtney (-7) – get a birdie with a nice putt from 18 feet (-8) Vecchio (-7) – tee ball in the water, but up and down from there for bogey (-6) Hole 14 Rhodes (-8) – solid par Robie (-6) – in trouble off the tee and fails to recover. Update 22 Hole 18 Finley (-5) – solid par Justyce (-6) – short game skills save par Hole 17 Babson (-4) – solid par Dorsey (-3) – in trouble early was staring at a double bogey, but the bunker shot for par was able to trickle inside of 6 feet and player made the bogey putt (-2) Hole 16 Courtney (-8) – can’t make a legitimate run at birdie due to tough pin placement – settle for par Vecchio (-6) – close to birdie but put is a couple of rotations short Hole 15 Rhodes (-8) – solid par Robie (-5) – Robie’s bad run continues when he also finds the water, but the easy pin makes the bogey save possible (-4) Hole 14 Koekela (-6) – drive finds trouble and player isn’t a good scrambler and it shows (-5) Hawkins (-10) – excellent tee ball and approach – 1 putt and a birdie (-11) as Hawkins moves into second place.
