I'm not exactly clear on the relative merits of the engines, given that the Ford is claimed to be the best all-around engine in signups, with less reliability. The Penske chassis is pretty much non-competitive — avoid it all costs, there aren't enough tracks where it works to make up for the ones where it doesn't. The Lola chassis may not be as strong as Reynard, but it's possible to win in it. Both of my first two ChampCar series were won by players in L/H/F cars.

I am having the season of my life in a public Champ Car series. I took over for a driver with 0 points after 3 races and am now in 2nd in the championship, only 2 points back.

hey Booj, why didn't you run your laps with the Ferrari? You were online a minute ago, I expected to see your laps, was actually waiting for them to adjust my setup and go to bed, but nothing is coming on and now you're not showing up as being online anymore... The car is far from perfect for the Imola qualifying...

No worry, I kept checking this thread and finally just saw you come on. Thanks for doing the laps, we should go out and kick some ass now. That Ferrari is so quick, it's scary...

Dola, and if that's the case, I'd have a really short leash on sacking the guy.

I realized the sad reality of not having Kool tools this past weekend. I thought anybody could use Holiday mode. So leaving Thursday morning for a weekend retreat to a cabin in Tennessee and go to hit Holiday mode and it doesnt work. So I got sacked in my three series that I was in. So I have to start back over. At least I was able to cherry pick a Ferrari so I hopefully made my transition into pro level easier. First two races got the poles, and one podium.

Russell Fardon isn't smart enough to guess the password to a kid's lunchbox.
As for sacking him... what's the point? I'd just get another generic replacement anyway. At least this guy shows initiative. |

What is it with people signing for a series, namely the FOFC private series, getting a GREAT car in teh process, in this case Ferrari F1-2007, and simply not showing up, AT ALL... Both drivers from Ferrari have gone completely AWOL and both drives are available as of now.
league: 16719 pass: hornsmaniac I repeat, these are two great cars, both Ferraris, lots of fun can be had with them... FM

well, the rest of the group seems pretty active. One thing I'm unsure about, but I think one of those two Ferraris was the drive of the guy who created the game and came up with the idea of a short field in F1-2007...

I'll have one public slot available around 10am eastern this morning. If the Super Aguri is still available in the public F1-2007, I'm thinking of taking that one, would you be willing?
I had something like an average starting position of 5.5 in my first season with the Aguri, too bad I was a bit too aggressive in race and was still learning the ropes because I think it's a car capable of surprising a lot of folks... FM

okay, my public slot is available but the Aguri is gone and nothing else is tempting me. The current F1-2002 is the closest to being started (20 of 22 filled) and from my understanding, a BATseven series should be next. Anybody up for that with me?
It's a fun series that can be very frustrating when you don't cooperate well with your teammates, or when they don't do their runs. I usually do my runs without losing too much time and I've never started a BATseven from the start... Let me know if there's interest, and if so, if you have a pick in the type of car we could take... FM

dola, if anybody's wondering about the game queue system, here's a post that I caught on the BATracer forum one day that explains it somewhat:
Quote:
That's how I figured that if the F1 2002 series starts, a BAT Seven series will be opened. It worked this morning, as the BTCC started and a ChampCar series was opened for signups... FM

double dola, and for that public series of mine that just finished, I came in 7th place with the Paul Cruickshank Racing car in V8 Supercars. For a single driver team, I'd say it wasn't too bad. I love the V8 Supercars.

that BAT Seven challenge is up and open now, so anybody with me? It's a short series (only 24 days) and there's a race everyday...
I won't sign up if I can't secure reliable teammates though. FM

this does it, good enough for me. Team "Front Office Racing" created, password is dola. SnDvls also showed interest via PM, first come first in though... I picked the Donkervoort after a quick survey of which car had won the team championship in maybe 10 past BAT Seven and it looked like a good car. I'll upload a livery soon... FM

yes, three is the norm, only meant for the third spot, first come first in...
Remember, no qualifying runs, your practice laps will dictate your starting position, so it's a good idea to keep maybe a couple of laps to use once the others have refined the setup a bit... FM
