Khaliel Rodgers looks a like a nasty G/C that will be coming to USC as well. Lane didn't need many linemen this year, and he is focused on getting a few of the best. Quality over quantity.

Big pick up for the Beavs; JC CB Steven Nelson who had been committed to Georgia committed today. The position was pretty thin this year and with Poyer graduating this could be a major piece of the puzzle.

Also QB Luke Del Rio (Jack Del Rio’s kid) has decommitted from Oklahoma State and was in Corvallis yesterday. Sounds like he liked his visit, he’s also visiting Alabama this week.

And fans in Athens rejoice loudly.
Interesting developments, so far EJ has hand picked a staff consisting of coaches loathed by their fan bases as horrible coaches (see: Harbison, Charlie and Garner, Rodney)

But I cant help but hate that this will help the Bulldogs.

Dawgfan, whats the word on Tui and UW recruiting? I know most UW fans felt like Jack would switch before, Im assuming the belief is a foregone conclusion now?

ND coming on strong for the kid along with UCLA

The general belief about Jack is that it's neck and neck between UCLA & UW, and that it would come down to his official visits. With Tui now at the UW, the assumption is that tips things in our favor, but I doubt it's a slam-dunk. There were presumably more reasons than just Tui that Jack committed to the Bruins.

As far as Tui and recruiting in general, we honestly don't really know yet how good he is. Again, there's an assumption based on his personality, communication skills and pedigree that he'll be a strong recruiter, but we'll see. It's possible that, for the UW, he'll be something close to what Tosh was for Cal.

Don't forget Washington - Tosh made a big impact with EV on his official visit. I'm not counting on him signing here, but from what I've read it sure sounds like we've got a shot.

Nope, he has told people he doesn't want to come to USC if they take A'Shawn Robinson (who had a very good visit at USC right before EV de-committed.) I'd rather have Vanderdoes, as I think he is going to be a beast (as long as he doesn't go pro in baseball which is still a threat.)

While Tui was his recruiter, Mora was always the main guy for us with Jack. I don't think Jack came to UCLA because of Tui at all

Thomas Duarte just sit his announcement date for January 3rd. Most people think it's between a UCLA/UW battle even though he probably wants to go to USC/Oregon a bit more, just missing an offer

Good player who I think would probably be a Trojan if they had a few more scholarships available.

I think he probably fits better with what UCLA is doing since he's really more a big WR than a true TE.

I'd like to have him, but there's a limited number of spots left in UW's class and they already have a TE and 3, possibly 4 WR's (if Ross commits as is currently projected).

Easy to imagine that he'd be intrigued about playing for Saban, but I have my doubts they'll get him. Here's the most recent in-depth article I've seen on his recruitment:

Hah! We might not have had as young an OL group as you guys this year, but it's a position of need, especially guys that can actually play OT.

I am worried about Harlow - he's said that his "head" is telling him Washington, and his "heart" is telling him Oregon State. The heart usually wins when it comes to recruiting, but we'll see on this one.

no recruit news so to speak..but, BYU will have two of their top underclassmen stay.

Kyle Van Noy! (Would be a 1st day pick according to most draft "experts")

All-American Kyle Van Noy staying at BYU for senior season | The Official Site of BYU Athletics

WR Cody Hoffman who will shatter all BYU receiving records next year has also declared he is staying.

5 star RB Derrick Green is getting closer to committing to Michigan, saying Michigan is his leader, and if anyone is going to pass them, they will have to do it soon since he is planning on announcing his decision in january.

Thank freaking god if he does commit. It's Michigan's most glaring issue next year now that Robinson isn't there to put up freakish rushing yards. The OL needs to be better, but they are about recruiting as well as you possibly can already.

I agree, we need an elite RB to run the offense that Hoke/Borges want to run.

I missed it - did Tosh mention a player by name? Tui slipped up on the radio earlier in the week, mentioning Troy Williams, though since Williams is enrolling Monday, maybe he's in the clear. Either way, those are pretty minor violations that usually result in nothing more than a warning letter in their file.

Anybody see video of the play QB Eddie Printz made in the Semper Fi game? I missed it but everybody is raving about it on the Mizzou boards. He's a Georgia QB who originally committed to UCLA and is now committed to the Tigers. Sounds like the real deal.

Lemming is working as a commentator on the Semper Fi telecast, and he said he talked to Tosh Lupoi, the Washington DL coach, about Washington commit, Elijah Qualls, and paraphrased that Lupoi told him what a great player he was and that he could play offensive line, too.

JoJo Mathis re-commits to Washington as was widely expected. He'd originally committed in October of his Junior season, then re-opened things when he got offers from just about every one.

There had been some concern about his grades, which is why other schools were later to offer, but it sounds like he's on track now. Assuming he qualifies, his only other issue is gaining back the weight he lost when he tried to reshape himself as a MLB instead of the stud 3-4 DE or 3-tech DT he's best at.

Eh, the downside of the hat thing is that they could put any hat they want there and by not picking them, shows they spurned them.
