You enter a door. As you walk through it, you hear chants of "One man enters. Nobody leaves!"

You're in a stadium of sorts, with fans sitting high above you.

The DJ is there. He says, "Welcome to the Arena! Who wants to fight today?"

He explains that this event is for only ONE player. As a team, you must choose one of you to fight whatever he has in store.

The crowd screams for their favorite player of the team. Will you give him to them?

You cannot tell what or who you will fight. But you can prep with heals, exchanging items, etc before you begin.

Let me know who will fight. As soon as you decide, I will run the battle.

Seems like we send Danny here. How many KOs do you have Danny? You've got most HP, we can load you up with items. I don't think we risk sending Darth out, and with this stupid necklace I'm low on HP.

I only have one KO, I think I am the obvious choice here with DV having two deaths and Autumn the bad necklace.

Give me all healing potions, ring of strength, necklace of health and have DV mage armor me up

Danny is escorted to the middle of the arena. And then you hear a horrible snorting sound.

A towering Minotaur strides into the arena. He carries a large battleaxe and... Is that a health potion?

"I am Balaghash! You will not make it past me."

The crowd loves it.

And then you attack.

Danny and Bal close the gap toward each other.

Danny strikes first. Hit!

I guess being behind speed might be of the essence. I assume the orb of sight will let us get a glimpse of what's ahead. Scroll of experience I assume could get Darth up a level, which would mean a new spell. The daggers would give me a bonus in combat.

I guess scroll of XP gives us the biggest bang, giving Darth bonuses all the way around, plus spells.

Then I guess I'd go with the potion of speed. We need to catch up so we can kick their ass.

Sound reasoning, I agree with the xp and speed. Daggers would be nice for autumn, but going xp and speed uses our money most efficiently.

Buy potion of speed

Room 12:

You enter a small utility room - bare cinderblock walls, a table in the center. On the table has been built a makeshift rack - as in the torture device. And strapped to it is a grey bearded elf.

Above the elf stands a tall man wearing an executioner's hood.

They both turn to look at you when you enter, surprised to see you.

The elf's eyes light up. "Help me!" he says.

The executioner says, "What? I thought the DJ was diverting you guys through corridor B. Ah, well. Go on through if you must. Don't mind this coward!"

"I'm not a coward! I just ran away from a completely unwinnable combat in the last Crawl! That makes sense actually. I was looking out for the DJ's investment in me."

"Yeah, right! Seriously, guys. Good luck in the Crawl. I'll be done with this guy soon."

The elf pleads with you. "Please help me! Get me out of this mess and I can help you win. I know where all the secret passages are! And which direction is fastest!"
