Here's a decent article about him featuring his old OC (who also coached Phillip Rivers & Matt Ryan in college), who said "his skill set is made for Sunday".

Yeah, Sports Reporters (well, Czaban) went over needs and listed TE; Davis you don't know about (injury, lawyer duty), Paulsen is a blocker, and Paul is still a project.

Big dude, cannon arm, slow release. moderate ability to read. can move average for his size. weak ACC defense competition. hes a project QB like most in this draft. hate to use the upside word, but with a season or two he moves from a #3 to a capable backup/competing starter.

Interesting to take Stedman Bailey with Tavon Auston.

Duron Harmon to New England. Shocked he went so early, but I always liked what he provided in the secondary for Rutgers.

Wow, the Bengals have done very well. I bet they told Smith today, you either take our offer, or we're drafting a Tackle and our offer is pulled.

Has anybody in the history of the draft dropped faster in less than a year than Barkley where something like drugs, legal issues, etc wasn't involved?

Where would Barkley realistically have gone though? Hes definitely not going #1 or #2. Maybe Cleveland instead of Weeden? If not there then its pretty much taking the spot of Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, or Kirk Cousins in the third/fourth round right?

Either ahead of Weeden or inbetween Wilson and him. No doubt. Its not uncommon. Jake Locker was a near cinch #1 before returning for his SR season. Barkley was never that high but still, going in with Luck and RG3 was not a good option either.

I don't see Cleveland taking Weeden if Barkley was there after his Jr. year.

Rumor has it that when the Jets took Gino Smith Sanchez threw his remote at the TV and missed by 7 feet.

That just reminds me of a story about my dad. His fantasy baseball pitcher (Dave Righetti) walked in a run and my dad got all pissed and threw the remote at the couch across the room. Of course he missed the couch and the remote made a hole in the drywall. I made some comment about my dad missing high and outside just like Righetti. I believe my grounding for that comment will end in about 2030 or so.

By this time you take Barkley, and perhaps he is pissed likes others have been and becomnes angry good QB and you really get something. It's worth a 4th rounder to put him on my team (JAgs) for two yeras of devo tim enad see what you get.

Wonder if the Bears have the balls to take Barkley if he's still on the board.

There are a few good landing spots for him, I think. Minn would be a good one. I think NE also.

It will be interesting to see if my beloved Cards go for a QB in this round-have two picks here. The one QB they were most associated with before the draft was Mike Glennon, but he's gone now.

I like the Honey Badger pick. He doesn't really have any true position but can be moved around quite a bit and play nickel or could probably make a decent play making free safety as a poor man's Polamalu. Can probably be matched up with guys in the division like Tavon Austin and Percy Harvin although his forty time wasn't great. Also should be solid on special teams.

I'm also interested to see where Da'Rick Rogers goes. At the end of the day, if he stays out of trouble, he could come out of this as one of the best wide receivers in the draft.

I like Ace Sanders as a college player ... not sure I'd like him as a 4th round pick

The odds of the latter ain't real good. About as much of a "Me guy" as you're gonna find. A major burst of sudden maturity isn't something I'd bet on.

At work... Just saw that Barkley is an Eagle! Very exciting even though I am not sure how he fits in Kelly's style.

Anyone have opinions on Lemonier from Auburn? Reports say he could develop into a good pass rush specialist but he needs a good bit of work.

Kelly probably has plans of using him as punt protector Tebow style in revenge for 2011. That's worth a 4th round pick by itself.

The Giants at least need a backup QB and Nassib fits their style. The Eagles have Foles and Barkley's completely immobile.

Hearing Chip rave about Barkley and talking about how he will adapt his style to the talent, I don't think he will be punt protecting. A few analysts are saying and I agree that Barkley could start for Philly this year.

The Packers drafted both Lacy AND Franklin? It seems likely they won't have running game issues anymore.

Does Kelly really need a mobile QB for his system in the NFL?

Love, love, love the pick. The Niners have the benefit of allowing Lattimore to strengthen the knee for the year and turn him loose in 2014.

I'm loving this 49ers draft. Baalke knows what he's doing.

Edit: I should edit to mention that we have no idea if any of these players are going to be good picks or not yet, but it seems like they've done very well for themselves.

It's more that it's either a wasted pick or Kluwe is gone, neither is good.

Spielman seems intent on getting rid of the players I like in this team.
