GE's post came about 2 hours after EF said:
Quote:
Scenario 3 is really sloppy on GE's part, but hey, don't look a gift scumslip in the face. Mind blown. I assumed you voted for him because he voted for you. Is that not true?

I have no qualms about voting for no shows at this point.

I have been trying to reconcile my theory on the game mechanics (past, present, future) and how actual in-game day plays its role. EF has made it clear that once a player is dead, he is dead and out of the game.
Here's my thought on that, using our already voted out mau as the example. I believe that until we move to a time in which mau's death has occurred, he will continue to be in the game and able to participate fully. Once we move to a time at which he is dead, he will then be dead and unable to participate. So if we assume mau is dead in the "present" (currently Day Two) and "future" (currently Day Five), he will be officially dead once we move to the present or the future. I would guess that moving to those times likely locks in that result and it cannot be changed by changing events in the past. So if we don't "save mau" by voting out a mau voter today, enabling another player to be killed on Day One in his stead and we move to the present or future, mau's death will be realized and no later moves to the past to kill of mau's voters will save him from his Day One lynch. The way I think of it, having a "no going back" point is absolutely necessary in EF's game, for otherwise, this game could go on forever, as teams bounce between past and present, attempting to change results that occurred in the present or future.

Sorry I haven't been around much today. Tuesdays are my busiest day of classes. I don't like the random outlier votes that Chief, Murray, and Jag have. I know for sure that Jag and Murray were on before the deadline and I could understand a baddie not wanting to stick their neck out if it ends up being villager/villager or villager/opposite faction.

Honestly, I am sticking with the belief that GE's post about being a vanilla villager wasn't odd or wrong. He probably had no powers on day one, just the same as probably all the other vanillas.

I also wonder if only one faction can make a kill in the past and the other in the future. Or if there is going to be multiple kills every night. It is something to think about after today.

Jackal is always a wolf. Plus, this creates a close race and I want to see what shakes out. I am going to reread yesterday and see if anything else sticks out to me.

All are invited to a totally bitchin party at the Baines' house. The folks are out of town and we're stocking up on wine coolers and sloe gin and anything else that can get this awesome party going. Everyone is invited! This is going to be gnarly!!!! The fun starts at 10:00, right after the vote! |

"What!?! That's my mom dude!" "But she's a total MILF." "DUDE!!!" "Sorry." Puzzled 80's kid that overhears the conversation.... "What's a milf?" |

Well this is shaping up to be another disappointing night.
I guess if Schmidty is going to miss two days entirely he's likely to get replaced. We could just off him, but might not be best for the game if he was roled. I'm not going to vote for brit, and so probably will move to GE if nothing else moves, in hopes of at consolidating. |

The reasoning for me voting for britt should be pretty obvious. I thought it was a bit odd he went after me on day 1.
I don't think my posts came off as to defensive. Shurg.

Reading back over the thread this morning he just struck me as solid - none of the things that were pinging other people struck me, so he just personally doesn't seem like a good choice to me. Your response to getting votes did strike me as a bit defensive. Could be nothing but got you a mark in my suspect list. |

Kind of a strange move, you had a valid point regarding my vote and the other two, but then voted for Jackal with less reason when there was (and is) enough time to see if you could get some traction for your idea. And I say that even though I think Jackal is a decent vote and I feel a bit better than neutral about you. For my part, I can say I was around long enough to see that DT posted, but I got pulled away and didn't change my vote prior to deadline. I stubbornly stuck with DT because I liked him as a vote moreso than the other two that were up who were basically easy votes, even if I agree that getting rid of non-contributors will probably make for a more fun game. And I would hope Schmidty is going to be replaced after being a no-show for most of the first couple days. |

Well, it looks likely that we'll have some no-voters again tonight. Unless Schmidty shows up real soon, he's the top vote getter with 5. Given the history of games here of late, it could be hard for EF to find a replacement. So I'm fine with him getting lynched tonight, but I don't want it to be a runaway.

i dont like the vote on schmidty today either, because it doesnt actually tell us anything...no matter how he comes up (assuming he is actually lynched) anyone on him can simply say they were voting him because he wasnt here...it doesnt help with voting patterns at all.

That should tie up Schmidty and GE.
If Schmidty doesn't show up/get replaced, I will be thoroughly annoyed.

As I've said, I'm more of a fan of GE than Brit as a lynch vote at this stage. I'm hoping we'll get some more votes and avoid any chance of a tie.

I'm not voting for him. Not for any great reason, just that I don't think he's a better candidate than you, or Jackal, or several other people.

I should say if it looks like it will be a tie I will move to Britrock. I dont have that strong of a feeling. I just have him on my slightly positive list so I'm certainly not going to choose him first.

This. At the begining of the game I actually stared at the screen for a minute, trying to remember how you lot normally start off day 1.
