Alrighty, they're writing up a new bill finally.
At least Henry and Chubby need to make sure to vote for it. Probably Packer as well since that would be good for a Pres. nominee. |

Anyone know if we can offer amendments?
I'll vote for it if necessary, but would rather not. Wondering about heinz as well. He's too smart a player to be as rigid as he's been. Render is also pinging my radar.

I'm still kinda miffed and suspicious that they even put that 1st bill up without checking with CR 1st knowing how strong it was.

And I likely will still have to vote against it.

I'll also be opposing the new bill. I may vote for later GOP bills, but this is the "furthest right wing role"

I worry though that there may not be enough people who chack back in tonight to vote for it. Do we know what it takes to pass a bill? Is it over 50% of congress? Or just more Yes votes than No?

I was thinking about the same thing. I think it's over 50% of congress but you'd have to check with CR to be sure I think. |

I'll vote for this one assuming they write it somewhat sensibly.

How does it work in real life?

In real life, a regular bill just needs a majority of those voting.

My guess is illini, then, for the same reason that we proposed Chubby for Speaker.
BTW, congrats, Chubby. |

Thank you. If it's one of them it will at least be a close race I think since they are pretty close to PF in being near the center. KWhit - Have you decided on support and slurry powers? They need to be sent in by 9pm |

Haven't decided yet. Do we know if we can send in multiples to the same person or bill? If so, we could load up a couple onto PF. |

So it looks like it does need 50%.

conditionals would be good if you are allowed to say
"slurry the republican nominee for president" I think that's an option |

Hmmm... I think that means that at least 50% of the congress has to place a vote (meaning 9 total votes are required today with 18 players). Once at least 9 people have voted, a simple 50% of those voting is required. Make sense? |

That is the way I am viewing it as well, KWhit.
And that would be pretty neat, Chubby. I was more thinking conditionals in case you can't put more than one on a person/bill, but it would be neat to do that too.

Definitely at least one support each on the bill and PF.
What are folks thinking about slurries? How much does it help us to knock out republicans at this point in the game? Since any bill we seriously propose will probably benefit everyone in either party that isn't a wolf, it probably isn't necessary to lean on their moderates to get their support for our bills. They should do it anyway. We want to be in a position to stay ahead of them numerically, but I would think the wolves would likely keep the parties fairly balanced anyway. That said, my money is in illini being their presidential nominee. We have to hit him. Probably Mrs. S, too, just to be safe. The presidential nominee is cannot lose his/her seat, anyway, so that would be a freebie. I'm thinking 2 slurries on illini and 1 on Mrs. S. |

I would say 2 on the repub presidential nominee (if we are allowed to submit them like that) and one on jeheinz since he is closest to the center

I wrote what I did before reading thoughts on conditionals. Conditionally heaping all 3 slurries on the GOP presidential candidate is a great idea. If that isn't allowed, I'd recommend going with the 2 on illini and 1 on Mrs. S.

I'm out for just a bit (hour or so). But will be back by the deadline. I asked CR about the conditionals and will submit something when I get an answer.

Here's what I'm doing:
Send 2 slurries to the Republican Presidential Candidate Send 1 slurry to jeheinze72 Send 1 support to the NATIONAL WOLF SECURITY BILL Send 2 support to PackerFanatic |

Although I think Heinze may (just may) be a wolf, I don't know that whacking republicans is ultimately good for us over the long term. I know that electing our guy president (assuming he isn't a wolf) is good for us. I'm leaning towards urging that all 3 slurries hit the GOP Prez candidate.

Alrighty, I've PM'd Chief Rum and done all my votes.
I'm off to a baseball game with the family - her work is renting out the "Pepsi Deck" for all the employees + family. |

Thanks all.
I think it's a great doy for the party. We've elected a strong people into our party leadership positions, we've taken the Speaker of the House and I think we have a strong candidate for the Presidency. We've also passed two bills that will aid in our goal of getting rid of the wolves. Our bill was pretty much a slam dunk while the Republicans had problems with their's. The biggest red flags for me right now come from the Repubs putting that 1st vote up for vote. If Pass gave correct information and that is Pass' fault that he is suspicious in my mind. |
