I think that PG Rocket Heat, but that is a known bug. When a player fouls out, a random one is inserted instead of the backup

We're facing the 4th ranked team from the English Premier League. Their average value is 13 better than us. Yikes.

Sorry guys i have been bussy with other stuff in the last 2 days (and we have lost those games )
Today tactics: We face a team that is better than us in some positions, but weaker in the PG and PF ones, so let's feed the ball to those: Starters play intensity: HARD Backups play intensity: HARD Shooting Parameters: Each one set the % to his best player abilities but following this more or less: C and PF: 75 inside, 20 floor, 5 three SF: 20 inside, 60 floor, 20 three SG and PG: 5 inside, 60 floor, 35 three Jordanov, i want you to shoot mroe 3s as you are good at it so: 0 inside, 40 floor, 60 three If any of you is really good at three (40+), raise that value. Play Style: Normal for everybody but the PGs. PGs play style: Special team player Play Time: Short for everybody to create more chances and to move the ball fast. If you have 40+ at dribling, you can set it at normal. Passing Preferences: Our best best scorers (PG, PF) will receive most of the load. For the PG's set it to: C=25% PF=40% SF=15% SG=20% For the SG's set it to: C=15% PF=35% SF=10% PG=40% For the SF's set it to: C=15% PF=30% SG=15% PG=40% For the PF's set it to: C=25% SF=10% SG=20% PG=45% For the C's set it to: PF=30% SF=10% SG=20% PG=40%

My undersized SG is progressing nicely..finally filling in the stats sheet with some nice points totals. Any thoughts from anybody on the value of speed vs. jumping for an offensive player? I'm thinking speed gets the edge (literally & figuratively) as far as where any minor emphasis would go. Any opinions contrary?

I could be totally wrong on this, but the impression I've gotten from reading on their forums is that speed helps you get open looks for shots while jumping will help you get off a better shot in traffic, literally rising above the competition. So for the little guys, I'm guessing speed is likely going to be handier early on and I just finished back to back speed trainings to get it up to 40 before bonuses and noticed an improvement in Jace's performance vs higher skilled teams as opposed to the previous few games prior to the training. Could also just be happenstance. I'll be able to comment a bit more in a few days as I'm in the process of doing back to back jumping training.

I've been playing 'hard' on my team since I saw that was how everybody here had their players set. The results have been great, with very little stamina drop..usually go from a 95% to a 93%, something like that.
Yesterday my kid filled it up. Went 10/14 from the floor, another 5/6 from behind the arc, 7/8 from the line (42pts). 7 assists, 2 offensive, 9 defensive rebounds and a steal just to put a check in every box. Filled the stat line nicely...stamina is down to 75% from 95%...first time I've seen a drop that precipitous. It is, I think, 6 more shots that I've ever taken before. Stamina is 34 with items. |

This info regarding how to train / build your player would've been nice when we were starting, but better late than never:
hxxp://www.talkdep.com/showthread.php?t=59341 tclass Manager Join Date: Aug 2007 Posts: 520 The biggest mistakes that new players make. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rather than try to make yet ANOTHER "how to" list I thought that I'd just share some things that I've seen over & over again in this game in regards to player development gone wrong... Anyone can feel free to jump in of course and add their 2 cents! If your player isn't performing as well as you'd like it's probably because of one (or more!) of these things... 1) Your player's skills are TOO EVENLY SPREAD. Given the choice between a player with 25 in ALL skills or a player with 35 in some skills and 10 others I've found that the more "specialized" player will perform better (given that the right skills are the higher ones). There's little point (right now anyway) in raising all THREE shooting skills to 40 when you could have ONE at 80+. One high shooting stat ensures that you'll be able to score against tough defenders.... well-rounded shooting only ensures that you'll get shut down (unless you have 2 shooting stats over 100 lol) 2) Too much emphasis placed on ancillary skills. I've seen SO many PGs witrh ridiculously high Passing skills... and SO many big men with high rebounding skills... and I ask myself WHY? IMO these users are WASTING valuable points that could be placed in shooting, blocking and physical skills, which are the bread & butter of this game. Rebounding and Passing are very subjective skills which depend alot on your team settings as well as the opponent that you are playing. While shooting and blocking and stealing are INDIVIDUAL skills, rebounding and passing are affected much more by the general game play. 3) Not enough emphasis placed on defensive skills. As laughable as that sounds given the amount of talk that's gone on about blocking this season I STILL see alot of new players with pathetically low defensive skills. There's just no WAY that your guy should have a blk rating of 17 or less unless he's such a ridiculously good shooter that he won't be a total liability on the floor. Always remember... a great scorer with bad defense CAN'T defend... but a GREAT defender with bad offense can surprise you once in a while (if he has good physical skills). 4) Not enough attention paid to physical skills. These skills (STR, SPD, JUMP, STAM) are absolute GOLD if you train them religiously. All 4 can positively affect BOTH your player's offense AND defense. SPD helps with stealing... JMP helps with blocking... STR with rebounding etc... Scorers and defenders become MUCH better when they have good physical skills to match. I have several players who play in Top 10 leagues against great teams and don't have a shooting stat over 50, yet score 20 pts/gm. Why? Great physical stats. Don't neglect them. 5) Not realizing the importance of custom equip. (T & O are gonna LOVE me for this one.. lol) Custom equip. is what separates the good player from the GREAT player in this game. As good as the best store-bought items are, they can't give you the bonuses that you need sometimes in order to REALLY dominate. An accessory that gives you +45 in either Floor shooting or Blocking can take your player to a whole other level. That being said, I'm not advocating that everyone HAS to go out and get this stuff. Not everyone has access to credit cards and easy CDP. But the reality is that best players in this game are using this stuff, no question... and the best TEAMS are chock full of these types of players. Just be aware. 6) Not "choosing a path" for your player early on. In this game there are 2 types of players. Offensive players and defensive players. When you start to get into higher ratings (30+) you have enough skill points by then to start rounding out your guy, but when you're starting out it MOST effective to go one way or the other. If you're offensive then you train a shooting skill, stamina, confidence and perhaps some physicals as well. If you're defensive then you're concerned with blocking (REGARDLESS of position!), stealing and physical skills. The sooner you make an effort to concentrate, the better your guy will be in his early career. SPECIALIZATION IS KEY! I can't stress that enough. (later in the thread, he mentions the following summary of his thoughts): (Pure) Offensive: Shooting > Physical Stat > Confidence & Stamina > Defense (Pure) Defensive: Blocking/Stealing > Physical Stat > Stamina > Offensive > Confidence |

Dola-
While I'm listed as a PF, on my last team I played primarily C and thrived in that position. Just some food for thought...

It could be fun to have two FOFC teams and some rivalries, also will give more playing time to other FOFCers not in the London Ballers team.

Your overall is just your total ratings divided by the number of stats (so 13). The +6 in 3 day training is what I'm mostly using right now (also done the CP boost in both seasons). Really though, as illustrated in the article above, overall doesn't mean as much as how good your build is. Specializing seems to be the ticket and I'm just starting to get into that moreso than any point before now, so your best bet might be to talk with Icy and see what role best suits Shaq to complement other players at the same position to get more floor time in specific situations.
