You can use your PM to let him know that we are not trying to scuttle the negotiations but rather we are going to have to find a way to put votes down on our three houses without wreaking havoc. If you'd like.

I'll try again instead because I was pissed and don't remember exactly what I was reacting to.

What I want to convey to Stannis is this: the way the ruleset is it is hard to guarantee that we will never vote one of his bannermen.

We understand that and also as a result understand this cuts both ways.
However, a vote now is not a final vote. We are more than happy to listen to an alternative. But Brienne is a non-starter for us.

There is no agreement in place between Stark and I.

Before I contact Stannis, do we intend to send him Tywin if we manage to capture him? I think that having Tywin bend the knee is a surefire way to turn Stannis and Stark against us, while sending Stannis Tywin ensures that Stark will consider Stannis a greater threat than Storm's End.

At this point I believe yes but have not made a final decision pending councel.

If you'd like you can compliment Stannis on being as big a pain of the ass in game as he is in the books.

Then there's no point in contacting him before we find out if we managed to capture Tywin. He won't believe us if before we send Tywin and afterwards a gesture of goodwill through pm is pointless. I would prefer to save the pm to discuss strategy after Stannis trusts us.

I'd rather not send out any emmissarys today, as they can be used for raiding. We should keep at least one person behind to raid tonight.

Try to get an idea of what his terms are. Say that Stannis has asked Stark and I for his head. If we know how many men he has we can try and capture again tomorrow, but we'd prefer to have him just come over.

If you can set up some code for him to use in main thread for a yes/no that would be great but we really just need to know what he wants.

If Autumn doesn't follow through, Stark will definitely back us against him. I dont think the additional help from Tywin will be enough to save him then and I think Autumn will be too worried about that possibility to turn on us.

Look, the one clear think I get from Autumn is that he worries about a balance of power. He doesn't want to appear too powerful without having allies to back him up, because it would make him a target. That's why he killed Ser Gregor and that's why he sought our apporval for taking on Tywin. He's just as nervous about being betrayed as we are, and someone needs to make the first move to an alliance.

He realizes that he will have to bend a knee eventually to a King but wants some answers to these things first... (sound like he is probably two days away from deciding)

1.) How does he anticipating adding a second "Enemy of the Realm" to his bannermen? There are penalties associated with this.
2.) What impact will having a new bannermen come into his existing mix? Given the win conditions of "three bannermen" that suggests that there would be potential for jealousy within his own house.
3.) If I were to bend the knee at the end of the day tomorrow, how does he envision the alliance management proceeding? My concern with any faction that I join is that it leads to the other two immediately taking up arms against that House.

Also wants to know how the next house he joins won't lead to the fall of that house much like the one he has just left.

Good questions. My thoughts:

1) This is affordable in order to get that many men.
2) There will be war and bannermen will be killed or voted, whether we like it or not. I intend to have my original bannermen be my final standing bannermen. I doubt we'll be lucky enough for that to happen but it is a matter for later.
3) I am quite tempted to declare preemptive war on Stannis if he keeps being an obstinate fool. I understand this may be why he is so indecisive but frankly I'd rather give the kingdom to Stark at this point than he. At the same time I am, I state here, negotiating in good faith to try and get a solid agreement. This is in part why I am so fucking frustrated today.

Any house can fall. I'd rather find a way for this particular house to win. And I think Tywin can help us do that.

Your thoughts? Brienne? Penrose?

2) I doubt one team will have only 3 bannermen at the end and will be forced to fight it out.
3) I put that if he bent knee to Autumn that it would have us together but he didn't believe it (and neither do I). I still think that war will be the best option if we lose Font today in a vote because the other two will naturally side together and take out our other bannerman tomorrow.

The Stark's have voted for Clap so now it is your decision to save Font or not with our votes.
