I need a Brooklyn logo.
Perhaps based on the old Dodger hats? |

The team city/name I had in mind originally is the Palm Desert Legion. (Between Palm Springs and Palm Desert, one of them is in the database. I forget which.)
For the cool logo makers, if one of you can try and come up with something along the lines of a logo similar to the old Roman Empire eagle, I'd love you long time. Colors would of couse be crimson/gold/white. We welcome you all to the desert, boys. |

Just for kicks, I came up with an AFC-NFC style arrangement based on the list above:
Conference A East Albany Atlantic City Baltimore Cleveland Midwest Chicago Detroit Shreveport Memphis South Las Vegas Phoenix New Orleans San Antonio West Hawaii Seattle SoCal Santa Cruz Conference B East Brooklyn Hartford Boston Providence Midwest Denver El Paso Fargo Tulsa South Sarasota Charleston Miami Durham West Long Beach Portland Anchorage Boise Seem plausible? (Edit to add: noted Fido's and CW's cities on the CFL msg board, made some adjustments in Conference A.) (Edit a second time to correct Fido's team to Phoenix from Mexico City.) One threeway team swap I would suggest.
Conference A East Albany Atlantic City Baltimore Durham * Midwest Chicago Detroit Cleveland * Memphis South Las Vegas Mexico City New Orleans San Antonio West Hawaii Seattle SoCal Palm Desert Conference B East Brooklyn Hartford Boston Providence Midwest Denver El Paso Fargo Tulsa South Sarasota Charleston Miami Shreveport * West Long Beach Portland Anchorage Boise

Updated colors
I tried a couple combinations, this seems to work best with the colors from your jester image. |

Ryche: Seems reasonable. I also look now and think perhaps Long Beach and Seattle should swap since they seem to be in 1-3 clusters (i.e. 1 northwest, 3 southwest or 1 southwest, 3 northwest). Either that or swap SoCal/Palm Desert for Boise to even the west division distributions at 2-2.

I like my helmet to be like this:
Aqua blue helmet with a "edgy" M as our logo. The curves in the top of the M be style to replica a wave, with a palm tree stick out in the middle. I like to see the Miami Hurricanes colors (green, orange, white) and maybe brown for the plam tree trunk, and maybe a darker blue to mix in with the wave. |

MrBug - looks like there was a team in the WPFL (Women's Professional Football League) named the Hawai'i Waves. This was their helmet:
Not to step on RendeR's feet, I decided to give the Breakers a try (BTW - there was also an LA Breakers in the WPFL). Don't know if the stripe/colored facemask works. Or the color arrangement, I based it off of RendeR's first.

Here's an East-West arrangement. It tweaks some of the AFC-NFC divisions while keeping mostly the divisions that seem to have drawn the best interest:
EAST Boston Providence Hartford Brooklyn/Albany Albany/Brooklyn Atlantic City Baltimore Durham Charleston Miami Sarasota New Orleans Cleveland Detroit Chicago Memphis WEST Shreveport Tulsa San Antonio Fargo El Paso Denver Arizona Las Vegas SoCal Long Beach Santa Cruz Hawaii Anchorage Seattle Portland Boise (Edit: Corrected for Fido's team actually in Phoenix not Mexico City and CW's team in Santa Cruz instead of Palm Desert, though CW's change makes no difference to divisions I have.) Unfortunately, the Tulsa-Fargo-El Paso-Denver division does not hold up with teams in both Phoenix and Vegas. Geographically, the sensible thing is to group El Paso with Denver, Phoenix, and Las Vegas, while San Antonio and Shreveport join Fargo and Tulsa. Then again, geography didn't stop Dallas from staying with the NFC East in the new alignment, so there's that. In a pinch, you could swap San Antonio and El Paso so that El Paso is in with Fargo as has been requested. Last edited by Wolfpack : 10-23-2003 at 02:15 PM. |

I actually love the Wave, is it possible to incorporate a Pam Tree into it? Maybe change the colors, maybe it alittle brighter "sunnier"? I like to change the color of the hemlet, any suggestions?

Actually, go with a Palm Tree logo. A team already uses a wave I take it, plys a Palm Tree fits better for the name. Make it bright .

I just really need to find a better logo first. Finding any good roman empire source data is a lot harder than I figured.

I've updated my division listings on this and the previous page to correct the locations of Fido's and CW's teams. It didn't change the AFC-NFC style much, but Fido's move changed a chunk of the West alignment in the East-West arrangement, while CW's team just moved up the road but is in the same division as before.

Apologies to anyone leapfrogged, but I found a good Talon logo and got creative with it. It's a little different, but I think pretty cool looking.

Just a quick reminder for the helmet makers that the Chicago franchise is still looking for a logo/helmet. We're going with a mafia/mobster theme (no official nickname yet though) and the key colors are Black, Silver and Blue.

Just looking at the league title all I could think of was the Christopher Walken skit "The Continental"
and how come Philadelphia isn't a team...shame.

Wouldn't it be easier to ask Ben to create a forum for this league then have a specific thread to ask cuervo to do the amazing work he's done? Then we can take care of whatever issues we need.
