I think since the beginning, we've been paying... but get a full discount because someone in the league can do that.

it's always been for us ( not sure if they have a free version with less bells and whistles) but HB's brother works there and kindly gets us comped.

after i posted that, i thought about it and remembered that the baseball league i was in, the site costs were always part of the buy in each season

I think due to time constraints, if this league still goes on, I may have to resign. I just have too much going on in my life at the moment to pay attention to the 6 fantasy leagues I am in. I need to cut back, and I'd rather someone else on FOFC have a crack at it than have a team sit idle in the league.

My apologies all for the short notice.

Sorry for the delay. My brother is working on this. Apparently "policies have changed", so he's trying to see if he can get the league through.

I will keep folks updated.

Bump again. Looking at the tentative schedule from earlier this thread:

July 21st - Announcentment of rule changes. (there was no formal announcement, but from a guess it looks like yes to 6 instead of 8 bench players, yes to 1 rookie keeper (any position), no to 2 QB's, Yes to wildcard spots being awarded to the two teams with the best record regardless of conference)

August 8th - All keepers are due, leaving five days before the draft to set a preference list.

August 13th - Draft starts with a 12 hour limit per pick. The draft clock will be active from 10:00 AM (EST) until 12:00 AM (EST).

August 20th - Draft continues with normal draft rules... Two hours per pick with the clock active from 10:00 AM (EST) until 12:00 AM (EST). You are encouraged to setup a draft list as the Sportsline "robot" tends to favor QB's.

I don't know that we had copied a roster list from the previous season to select keepers from, but I'm thinking we may want to move the dates back somewhat as we are waiting for access.

May be a good idea, also, do we have a replacement for Gotti?

I know I have no idea who most of my guys were.

Not to put any pressure on HB, but I think we're screwed without the site. I was almost a 100% sure I copied the rosters, but can't find them anywhere. So if/when we get acess to the site... we can move the dates around.

Oops, no idea who I had either. But I think I had Brady, Adrian Peterson, and Randy Moss. So just give me those as my keepers.

Next season we gotta remember to post those in a thread at the end of the year (if there is one).

I understand that, fellas. I figured that might be the case. I will talk to my brother over the weekend and hope to report on the status early next week.

I'm half-tempted to pay the $120, get the rosters and then take them up on their money back guarantee. With my luck though... It wouldn't work out.

I'm willing to pay for a portion of the cost of the league if it comes to that, but we need to decide something soon if we are going that route.

It's $10 each if we all pay right? Don't we have 12 people in the league?

I'd be agreeable to this too. We've had some good history going with the league over the years, it'd be worth the $10 to me, though I could understand that if the newer league members balked. And yeah, I think we still need one additional player unless we haven't exhausted our waiting list yet.

If you don't mind playing on a different site, I know espn.com is offering keeper leagues for free this year (not sure if they will continue in the future or not).

Also, is it okay in this thread to mention that there is a FOFC auction league that needs one more owner by Sunday?

I'm pretty sure my keepers would be the same as last season but if we need to do something, I'd like to know. Also, when the draft is becomes a big deal to me, particularly if we have to pay money- I'm out of town this weekend and moving across country the next week so I'm going to have limited internet access.

QFT. All I remember is that my keepers from last season were John Kitna, Randy Moss, and I can't remember the RB.

As one of the new teams, I'm all for moving to a free ESPN or Yahoo keeper league. I realize you guys have a lot of history with the past season but it seems that we are at an impasse of what to do.

HB hasn't been on for 48 hrs. I shot him a PM in case he gets email notification, but I think we should hear his latest before we decide. If his brother can't comp the league or get us the rosters, shall we say we paypal TLK (assuming he has paypal) to get rights to our info? (those who have expressed info in doing so)

I'm okay with whatever the rest of the league wants to do. I think it's going to be hard to get everyone to throw in money this late in the game. I'm going to fire an e-mail to Sportsline support and see if they can give me a copy of the rosters. I'm not holding my breath, but we'll see.

Sorry for the delay.

I was on vacation last week and didn't have net access from Wednesday until today.

I will check with my brother one last time. If he can't get it comped, I may have to bow out.

Sorry again for the delay.
