Anne Hathaway as Catwoman is a win for every man. And some women. But all men.

Something I did find interesting.
Nolan said that Hathaway will be a fantastic addition to the ensemble as they complete their story. I find the phrase "complete their story" to be interesting, in a sad way. I was hoping this would go beyond a trilogy. Bale as Batman in this world has a lot more lasting appeal than any other incarnation. |

I can not stand that woman. For some reason, when ever she is all the screen, I just turn away, I can not look at her. |

I have liked Hardy is the stuff that I have seen him in, but I don't know if I'll be able to buy him as Bane. Sounds like it will require an awful lot of CGI to make it work.

Yeah, I'm sure there is this concern, but then I saw what Nolan and Heath did with the Joker.

I like the news. I love Anne Hathaway. She's been my number one Hollywood crush for a while now. I don't quite see her as Catwoman, but I am more than willing to give it a chance.
I loved Hardy in "Inception", which I believe is the only thing I've seen him in.

According to Wikipedia, Bane's father is "King Snake", who looks to be white.

Is Bane so archetypal that changing details like his race is sacrilege? I mean, wasn't the guy just invented to sell a ton of comics at the top of the bubble?

I'm not sure I see either of these castings, but I said the same thing, and more, about Heath, so I'll trust them. I'm more curious about what the story line will be involving these two.

Nolan has earned my trust, so I think he'll make it work (although his success with female characters has been less than stellar in the DK series, in my opinion).
I think Hathaway is workable, although I would have liked to see someone a hair older in that role (I think Pfeiffer was more in her mid-30s when she did it and I thought she was pretty good in the role). |

But has Nolan tried to do anything particularly dynamic with the female roles? If Hathaway does become catwoman, that's entirely different from being Bruce's love interest.

None of Nolan's movies have really had a well-crafted female role. Carrie Ann-Moss from Memento probably the closest.
edit: Maybe the wife from Inception.
