Just now bought him for about 10 mio euros (plus resell profit of 20% and 2.5 for 50 games)

Does anyone have a good training program I can use? It's an area of the game I'm not that interested in figuring out at this time.

with the new training, is there even such a thing ? Basically i just set the training for my team to "balanced" and then have my players train their focus for the role they play/should play and have starters on "light", rotation guys on "average" and young guys without many games on "heavy".

Or am i missing sth regarding training schedules still being in the game ?

I'll have an update on my first 2 seasons in charge of Juventus once I'm home later and can provide the relevant stats and such.

Maybe I should do a dynasty thread for it, but with the understanding that it can't be a "game by game" dynasty - as I find that those slow down my rate of play a whole lot more than I want, and instead will just be "peeking in" at various points/key games.

Yeah - I kinda like that idea. Should make it possible to bring things up to date pretty quickly too.

Started a dynasty of my Juventus game. Not going to be long-form as that slows down my playing too much, but hopefully somebody still wants to read?

I am looking to try out a league I am unfamiliar with in FMC, so can anyone suggest a European league, outside the big 4 and the other UK+Ireland leagues, with at the minimum two divisions?

There used to be a random team selector website, but it looks like that has disappeared.

How about the Netherlands ? Some established big teams to try to get past in the long term. For a totally different experience you might want to try the Ucraine or Russia, similar to the Netherlands in that there are a couple teams way above everybody else, in the Ucraine i´d figure it will be really tough to get past Dynamo and Shakhtar.

In 2015, playing as Man City. Lost in the FA Cup Sem-Final to Man U 3-2. In EPL season, beat them 1-0 and then a draw 0-0. I ended up winning the Premiere League.

And now, I play them in the Champions League Final.

nice to see this again Any chance to have the US teams enter the Copa Libertadores instead of what they are in now ? (and the mexican ones as well while we are at it)

Haven't messed with the Copa stuff, currently they go to the NACL.. I'd probably need someone versed in the advanced rules stuff for that, so that's not a no, but it's not probable.

Nice!

I started out as West Ham, finished 12th in the first year, got offered the Newcastle job in Dec 2014, took it. Currently in late March, have them 10th (up from 18th when I took over). Better players for my system, yielding results. Only one loss in fourteen games.

Also noticed the gameplay is much different now. Bigger passes and openings, and it's not a 500 pass setup for each shot. Seems a lot more realistic now.

PaulC in his thread leading up to the patch reported the tax issue, though not his area, would be fixed in the patch. Both he and Neil Brock have reported it is fixed in the patch. Would have been nice to have it in the list but I guess it was supposed to be a ME patch only and ended up being an unlisted hotfix for the taxes as it was something that was easy to do.

Either way good on SI for getting it in. Excited to get off work today and get home to give the new patch a go. Lots of good reports on how improved the game is on the SI forums.

thanks for the info Any news if it´s save game compatible ? I think i´ve fixed it for myself using FMRTE, but wouldn´t claim to be a 100% sure about that.

Having another decent season with Liverpool as well, 4th place in the league and 2nd KO round in the CL, there i´ve just beaten Barca 3-1 at home. And no, it didn´t make sense Borrini had 2 amazing counter attack goals where he blasted through the defense and then put the ball in with class.

Borrini with a great season, young swedish striker Helenius is challenging Carroll for the 2nd striker spot while in Midfield Dzagoev has been great in the hole and Allen has held off Andrea Poli, just a better fit as of now next to Gerrard and Lucas.
Defensively, Coates continues to be a monster and Skrtel is class as well. On the left wing Robinson stepped in for an injured Henrique, started with like a 7.5 rating through 10 games but then came crashing down to the point i played Agger out left for big games. Now Henrique is back.

In goal, Koval has been great but a tad inconsistant. Well, he´s 20 after all.

It is save game compatible. It will "fix" the tax issue going forward. It will not return any money you already lost.

I payed FM08 and 09 for days on end - even got my name in the credits for being a beta tester one year. I haven't played since so I downloaded the demo and my god it's complicated and confusing. I'm afraid the learning curve is going to be too big and I'll lose interest - what chance do I have getting invested in the game?

This version has the FMC Mode that strips out some of the more complicated components. Its probably closer to the FM's you're used to.

I might just be unlucky, but between the 60th minute of one game, and the 45th minute of the next I lost 5 strikers to injury, three of them out for almost 2 months.

I haven't seen injuries quite as much as Ryan since the patch. What I do think seems to be happening is that the defending seems to be more aggressive, especially the tackling, and it results in more injuries to players with the ball. For me, I play my striker as a support role more for my wingers, so my strikers have been ok. I do have a few playmaker types with injuries though, but nothing quite as what Ryan experienced.

Since I have two squads to handle Europe competition as well as the EPL, the injuries is just causing me to stretch a little more, but nothing that I can't handle. I could imagine on a smaller squad, it could get bad. Seems you need more depth because of it now.

I haven't seen this massive onrush of injuries either. Maybe just bad luck Ryan?

I just played out perhaps the most frustrating tactical game that I have seen. Stoke was coming to play against me as Arsenal, and the game was home for me. Stoke obviously came in with a game plan to not care at all about winning, or even appear to ever put pressure offensively.

Their formation I guess could be called a 3-4-2-1-1 maybe? It had 3 Center backs, all of which played heavy defensive. It had two wing backs that never ever ever got forward once, and pretty much just marked my wingers the entire time. They had two defensive midfielders that both seemed to play as anchor-men. They just sat in the holes and thwarted any attempts I had to get forward through the middle. I rarely saw them advancing or doing much anything creatively. If they got the ball, they just dumped it off or kicked it about a million yards forward out of bounds. They had two midfielders, one looked like he was playing a defensive role, or maybe deep laying playmaker with a defensive mind-set. More often than not he was back even with the two anchormen. The other midfielder looked like a ball winning midfielder that ran around like a chicken with his head cut off.

Stoke had almost no one getting forward ever. They had an Attacking mid-center that pretty much just sat in space but never once got to my box, and they had a striker that would roam around my defensive line. They had no wide attackers, they never seemed to counter attack. They just parked 8-9 guys back and any time they won the ball they just kicked it across the field or out of bounds.

Because of their height advantage, I couldnt get any crosses coming up high to connect. Because they had so many guys in there, I couldn't get anything low to get in to my guys in the box. I pulled people back to try to create space and try clever passes with some runs in to the box, but they just constantly had people anywhere I could put the ball. I tried to look for overlaps, getting my fullbacks forward, and still the same problem.

I ended up getting 2 CCC for the game, one hit the wood but that was the extent of my attacks. Held the ball for 74% possession, but couldn't do anything with it. They had 0 shots the entire game and didn't seem to even care. bleh!

So, just out of curiosity, have any of the folks who downloaded the APL setup have any thoughts? Probably want to update things by the end of the year...

Then start a new game, and make sure the APL file is checked.

it´s after you click on "new career game", there you have the game version, database version and then editor data files.
There you go to change and select your file. Although by default the game should select all files anyway.

Do any of you guys play classic mode?

If I get this year's version, I'm conflicted. I put so many hours into a career just to get through about a decade, my longest career. I dont want to miss any features but at the same time might enjoy a faster paced game.
