I voted for someone I had a connection with for a pointless Day One reason, and I would have left it there if others didn't then also pile on him. I was the first to vote him, doing it earlier in the day.

Once it became clear he was in danger, I wasn't going to be a party to that, so I jumped off of him. Hope that makes sense.

FWIW I treat day 1 in a similar way -- pick someone at random, see how the day goes and then end up on one of the main lynch contenders in order to provide vote analysis down the road (remember, my vote put GE in the lead, it was tied at that time). Not defending Chief but just my two cents -- day 1 votes are data points but it's hard to read those tea leaves with proper context until later in the game.

Finally circling around to look at the tally. Interesting votes, IMO:

- JAG dropping GE from the lead into a tie with Suicane (and bringing Font within 1)
- Raven creating a 3-way tie among GE, Suicane, and Font by dropping Suicane out of the lead
- Path and EagleFan voting GE 2 up within 2 minutes of each other
- Grover elevating Font over Suicane as the alternative to GE
- JAG reversing Grover's option and tying Suicane and Font 2 behind
- EagleFan switching off GE to tie him with Font, then voting Font a bit later

Nothing particularly damning about any of these, but these stuck out to me as the highest-leverage votes of the day.

I voted for timmae early because he's the one that invited me, then switched to brit to jump off timmae. Ultimately landing on Raven was more strategic when it became clear I was the only one standing on brit and, being new, I didn't want to be the a deciding vote on font or GE.

The votes right now are actually pretty terrible for six reasons:
1. I'm town. Duh.

Meaning he was interrogating Chief without actually looking for a lynch, which gives him a weak townread.

3. EagleFan is my strongest townread, having had a series of votes with strong logical reasons behind them and also being willing to help with the Raven side lynch when two townies (me and GE) and a third likely one (Suicane) were under pressure. His vote for me at the end made it clear that he wasn't attempting to buddy me with the Raven vote either.

4. Zinto reacted obstinately when I asked him to stop answering questions for others. That's an easy thing to cave on for a bit of good will, and the fact that he didn't reflects well on his alignment.

5. Grover is most likely unaligned with Raven, which means I'm now going to have to choose between them.

6. Saldana is totally absent and any pressure on him is completely useless.

On the first one, my motivation was for GE to vote who he thought was more suspicious rather than reflexively voting in self-defense, which doesn't tell us much. Unfortunately that still ended up being his vote and reason.

Font, my comment was based on some of your posts from yesterday. The longer you keep it up, though, the more I tilt toward reading you as a townie.

As for Suicane, Path alluded to the GE/Font race at the end of yesterday, which means Suicane kind of slipped through the cracks. I'm also fairly comfortable in heading that way because of Font's read of Suicane--at worst, she's a wolf hedging on a townie, but I think it's more likely that she just has a neutral read.

Last thought before I get back to work. While I think font is a villager, it may be worth exploring that day one vote a bit. If she is a villager it would most likely mean that the wolves were not players moving votes around. If she is a wolf, well that could tell us a lot as well (and give us a victory for the day).

I get that I've been a little wacky with the way I've started this game off. I am aware that I falsely accused fontisian of being defensive and for that I have apologized.

I am a tried and true villager, even though I may seem suspicious or off. If you decide to lynch me, that is fine, but you will have the proof of what I really am.

I think we need to focus on some of the odder types. Which is hypocritical, I know, but stringing me up will only reduce our numbers by one, possibly two. This could be a ridiculously quick game for us villagers at that rate.

I'm not very good at going back through voting history and patterns and all that jazz. I try to make observations off what I see posted from everyone and I may not be perfect. I want what's best for us, our survival and our victory.

Well, who would you consider the odder types and why? I'm not asking for history or voting patterns if that's what you aren't comfortable with, but at least if you want me to move my vote you are going to have to give me some sort of alternative plus some reasoning for it.
