Well I managed to find a room without a star-yeah Silver Claw! Unfortunately I find a room filled with cobwebs, some guzak bones (gulp!)..and you guessed it, a giant spider! It surprised me and attacked first, taking half my health with one bite and poisoned me as well. Cast my spirit of pain again and watched it very slowly take out the spider-saved again! Found a little bit of gold. and got enough xp to barely make 2nd level! new spell, blade of warding, blocks some attacks that would otherwise hit, which makes one injured tired Guzak very happy

I should search this place, good chance I find something...or something finds me too.

Why wouldn't we take the ashes of this super powerful martial arts expert who specializes in keeping opponents at a distance when we have no long distance attacks between us? What could possibly go wrong?

You are supposed to LET THE SLEEPING DOGS LIE. Come on now! They are each the most powerful creature in the 1st Rank of Rooms – how will you kill two of them?

A ghostly monitor appear above each of you to reveal the battle that is about to commence!!!!

Sleeping Dog No Longer – HP 12, AC 5, Deal 1d4 damage from a bite,

Each – Each time one of the dogs bites you successfully, you miss your attacks for the next round. Whenever the first dog to attack in any given round bites you, the other gets +3 on its attack to hit.

Path is fully healed at 10/10. He spins his Guisarme as the dogs are awoken and move in. He needs a 15 to hit them. And unless he hits for a full 12 damage, he'll have to hit a dog at least twice to slay it.

Meanwhilw a Dog needs just 15 to bite him

Path attacks a dog and....rolls an 8. No dice. literally.

13 and 14. They barely miss path.

4 is a miss. Then the first dog bites for 17 and path takesk....3 damage and the next dog gets a +3 to hitIt rolls....11 - just barely a miss again.

path misses the next round shaking teh dog loose that bit him. One dog bites him back for 2 damage.

5/10

Path misses the next battle. He can;t even flee this round. They roll 1 and 8.

Path choose to flee. They get attacks of opporunity as he dose. The first....rolls a 17 uh oh! It hits for.....2 damage. THe other gets +3. If it rolls a 12, it hits Path too!!!
