Day 10 Results


You can't seem to decide who may be a problem for the colony. Zinto/Shark/Zinto/Shark... There can be only one fair way to settle this. Rock/Paper/Scissors/Lizard/Spock... No, that can't be it. Grab them both!!!

You lead both of them fighting towards the oven. Next thing you know you are being talked out of the decision. The Jackal must be the one you all decide. You grab him and throw him into the oven. The Jackal is no more.

The Jackal was an MIT Engineering Professor in his life before the colony, he resigned when he was front and center in a sex scandal at the university. His life in the colony was one of being a colonist at heart.

Now on to the other business of the day...

Zinto and Raven have returned from the landing pod. They both look as healthy as when they left but a little dejected.

DanGarion was a cult leader on earth and joined the colony when he was being investigated by the government. He was the charismatic leader of the Truth Seekers and had brutal ability.

Sharkn20 was a professional gamer on earth who was accused of insurance and disability fraud before joining the colony to get away from it all. HE was a loyal colonist.

Elsewhere you find GoldenEagle laying motionless. Next to his body is a note "Viva La Resistance - should have allowed the election, no peace now"

Raven was a farmer on earth who had lost his daughter when she joined a cult and was killed by the leader. He joined the colony to get away from the pain. He was a loyal colonist and he achieved his major win condition of killing the cult leader.

GoldenEagle was a computer programmer on earth who was also a hacker. He was being investigated and joined the colony to get away from that. He became a member of the Truth Seekers and had duke ability.

Well that was all very interesting. Can't believe that Britrock pulled that stunt with DanGarion. You're crazy Britty.

I'm going to have to go on believing that there's only one member of the Resistance and the Angel left. Anything else with just us six and we're screwed. That would have to mean that GoldenEagle killed Raven and then was killed by the last Resistance member. We hope. I guess we might be ok with one extra Truth Seeker.

Things might have looked better if Shark hadn't no lynched. That's really, really counter-productive for the village.

So someone shot DanGarion who brutalled Shark then both teams got a night kill with the Resistance taking out GoldenEagle and the Truth Seekers nabbing Raven.

If the hypothesis that there's only one wolf left is correct that voting records are pretty useless. If it isn't correct then they're pretty useless as they're not going to help us. I shall probably look at them anyway as they will provide me with solace.

Ok let's say that there's two wolf teams with a cunning, a brutal and a duke. That would mean that the only wolf left is the Resistance duke. Would a wolf duke a lynch that looked set to kill two villagers? It might actually be the right move but I would have thought that the wolf would hold onto the vote to use it to save themselves if they get to end stage. My guess is that DanGarion believed that Shark was the Resistance duke and that's why he took him out. I don't really see any way that we can't

I'd also be willing to vote Thomkal in the hope that that would give the Resistance their victory condition and they/he would effectively be converted to village. Basically because I feel that the colony has been sacrificed on the altar of Thomkal's own personal ambitions and we've just gone along with it like sheep to the slaughter.

OK finding the Angel.

I suggest we all reveal everything about our background to try and pin this down. I think we all have a reason for leaving the Earth - but the Angel won't have provided one other than the fact that he's a pyscopathic whack-job.

I was a chemist who was accused of drug dealing. I wasn't doing anything as tawdry as dealing drugs. I prefer to think of myself as a pharmaceutical artist. Unfortunately the government feels it appropriate to make my products illegal while allowing cigarettes and alcohol despite them being far more dangerous than my creations. Crimson has confirmed that this is my background so I think that is a pretty good indicator that I'm not the Angel.

I'm going to try to find Crimson's posts were he revealed backgrounds and hope that he had scanned more people who are still alive.

Unfortunately for me given my injuries I'm leaning towards NTN being the Angel. A lot of the others have pretty clear objectives which you wouldn't expect of the Angel. We have no idea why NTN came here, his whole story has been somewhat vague while most of the rest of you have fleshed-out stories. Obviously you might have committed to that role early on but I'm thinking that the Angel is more likely to try and blend into the background rather than committing to a clear story straightaway. The other main candidate would be Zinto but as I think he's Resistance I'm going to assume that he's not the Angel.

Ok so I worry that yesterday's result was the result of a tie-breaker rather than a duke. I guess there's no real way of knowing but the colour text does seem pretty similar. It also suggests that the result of the tie-breaker was going to be that both would be lynched and then someone convinced us to lynch someone else - as happened with GoldenEagle and font.

In the end there's no real way of knowing but I'm down on other viable candidates so I think that Zinto is the way to go.

Is there a potential thought that deacon wanted be the top medic, so he helped take out the other two?

Narc gets a pass today from me. If he is either the resistance or AoM he is hurt and can't perform any actions. He was hurt in what was probably an AoM attack, so he's on the bottom of my list of potential suspects in that department. I don't think a vote for Narc today helps out the colony because of his health status, unless there is something here that I am missing.

Thomkal is neither the AoM or in the resistance. I am drawing that conclusion based on two facts, he was hurt during an AoM attack when he should not have had actions, and it makes no damn sense that he would be resistance. If he turns out to be resistance then I take the blame for overlooking him, again, it doesn't make sense so I don't see that as a possibility.

I am neither resistance or the AoM. I can't offer proof unfortunately other than I have the ability to hunt the AoM.

So that leaves us with Grover, NTN, and Zinto.

The clues we have had about the AoM are that the person is a psychopath and a coward. Yesterday I presented NTN as a possibility but as Zinto pointed out it is possible, but he did confess to giving timmae the injection. So I'm not certain here.

I believe Grover mentioned he spent two years in the ISS. That makes me think he fits the profile of someone who may have suffered a serious mental breakdown while living in a tube for two years.

We don't know enough about zinto's background and he needs to fill in the holes today. He's a CEO and..... If he wants to avoid my vote today I need to know the rest of his background.

Back to Narc, I don't think it is in our best interest to rush to heal him completely. If he is either one of the two baddies our best bet is to keep him stabilized but not bring him back a condition where he can make night actions. Therefore I don't think we should have NTN on Narc tonight.

It isn't a stab in the dark. More than likely the murderer has to PM Eagle with his move to kill the injured person. You were online posting right before Narcizo was killed.

And there is a good reason I am not voting for Shoveler. He has a role designed to root out the killer. He is new and I doubt he made a fake role reveal like that.
