Well it turns out that the supposed pit room I was going to was not the pit room at all, but the top of a very tall castle battlements. I looked over the battlements at the glorious kingdom below then looked up in the sky just in time to see a Wyvern almost on top of me!

I was fortunate indeed that I had healing herbs and my +1 Long Sword or I would not have survived the battle, but I did! I am now 5th level and unsure where I will go from here. There appears to be several chests here as well so hopefully will find some good treasure when I search them.

Jackal allies with you so he is an enemy right now. If he can see the light like i did then that os different. Hoops is a snake charmer whose actions in provate do nt reflect his actions here

Jackal, when you catch up - I'm guessing there will be a secret door in this room if there is anything to be found. So you should search for that while I bash open the chest from yesterday.

However, we've also got Djinni stuff tonight - I know I'll need some equipment. If you get this in time, I would ask if you want to pool our resources at the Djinni (picking up supplies) so one of us can take an action tonight? Or would you prefer to save both actions for tomorrow during the morning phase?

If the latter, please understand that I may not be ready to push ahead to another room if I get walloped by some trap on the chest.

I am thinking of maybe giving over any gold I have or any items I have we can sell to either of you, and then having both of you go to the Djinn market.

That would leave me here alone (with actual health, unlike you guys right now). I would trip a sarcophagus and hopefully face off with some baddie whom I would hopefully then kill, then we split the winnings (that would also get me up to Level 5).

Risky, I know. And I don't know if going to the Djinn market literally does have you leave the room. If it does, then the plan works. If it doesn't, not a smart idea, because then you guys could be killed.

Did you ever trade for the wand recharge thing? If so, grab the wand off the corpse. Hitting us for 24, 25, and 29 was pretty nasty.

Are you thinking of heading left, forward, or right next turn?

For movement, in my opinion it depends on what else we find in the room. This evening I'm going to search using oracle and true sight (if that's possible), so we should know all there is to know about the room and you can take another crack at using the room again to see if we can keep getting something useful from it. If we get a pretty good haul from the room, then maybe we keep going forward. If not, we may have to turn. Those are my thoughts anyway. In some ways that was an unfortunate enemy type we faced.

I agree with you on the movement and that was certainly an unfortunate enemy. 3 hits, 78 points of damage was impressive. Although the XP was certainly wonderful.

I'll probably attend the Djinni just to stock up on some essentials, not sure that I'll purchase anything crazy. Got an upgraded studded leather armor today, so that's good.
