While it won't make for "great moments in fitness history", I was pretty happy to have walked the entire Atlanta airport yesterday on my 4 hour layover. That includes all 6 terminals and the area between each.
For the record, I did take a Chick-fil-A break after 4 and took the train to and from Terminal A for dinner. But I started right where I left off so I still did the full airport. SI

I remain bored at work and Googled the T-Mobile girl. It really just gets better.
Based on this interview: http://www.mydaily.com/2011/02/15/t-...kes-interview/ She likes to "s[i]t at home and play[] video games", is "into [her] PlayStation 3" and "give[s] really good foot massages." She also has a bouyfriend, Tyler. So, maybe MJ4h and JediKooter save the basement and duct tape for that guy.

We REALLY need some rain here in Texas. In my area, there have been no appreciable amounts of precipitation since December. But there has been enough to cause some weeds to grow, so I had to mow my yard today for the first time since last fall. All it seemed to do was kick up tons of dust and oak pollen. I went in to take a shower afterwards, and my eyes looked like I had just spent the last two hours hanging out with Willie Nelson on his tour bus, not doing yard word.

Great quote from the 20 y/o CEO of Klip (one of the companies tying ads to achievements in mobile games). As a consumer I'm not wild about his product (nor am I sold on it as a marketer) but the attitude is outstanding.
"He taught me to remember where you're from, and that as long as you have a beating heart and you're not a lazy mother******, you can make something out of yourself." Having now roomsurfed my way through a couple of segments of the reality show "Parking Wars", I'm struck with a couple of thoughts.
1) It's amazing our national homicide rate isn't higher 2) It may be a pity that our national homicide rate isn't higher

Pulling this back from about 3 months ago Just cancelled our DTV. We never had any issues outside of a few times we lost a signal in heavy storms. To be expected. But, we are getting a better bundle deal from Verizon now. Fios+home phone+Internet. This includes free DVR for the first year and free Showtime for the first year. Paying $80 a month first year, $95 (if we keep the DVR, which we will) forward. DTV I was paying $72 after taxes etc, plus what I was paying for phone and internet (already thru Verizon). So, of course they ask "What can we do to keep you?" Then she lists the number of credits I am eligible for now, etc etc. "You know what you could have done to keep me? Called and offered me those while I was still a customer. Had I been getting a $20 credit a month the next 12 months, maybe I don't consider the Verizon offer." I know that's just how things work....but it's irritating.

A sperm cell contains 37.5MB of data encoded in DNA. That means with every ejaculation you are transferring 1.5TB of info in a couple of seconds. Now for ISPs to harness this power.

The downside is it's because my car died. Well, hopefully just the battery died. Although, it dying and giving me an excuse to buy a new car wouldn't exactly be the worst thing in the world... |

I feel like an idiot. Without getting into sensitive information, a client needed me to assist them with a data comparison. Recent data from my company and another company didn't align with each other. OK, I trust our data, so I ask my team to do a data pull for me. It was completely different than what I delivered to the client last week. So my boss and I are fearing that we've got a messed up database. After hours of investigation and the technical manager chewing us out for submitting an urgent request, I came up with an answer.
When I requested the data pull, I asked for 13 weeks ending March 26, 2010. I needed 13 weeks ending March 26, 2011. Urgh. So after I wasted everybody's time, I had to go running around to people to tell them that I made a typo in my request and that's what caused all of this. Oops.

If you want to go to bed tonight with the happiness from tonights news don't click this link.
I didn't realize Tim Hetherington died about ten days ago in Libya. As I was looking into it I saw he died with another photojournalist named Chris Hondros. I came across this picture from Hondros. I need to go smoke a cig or something. Just the most heartbreaking picture I've ever seen. http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/200...CENSOR2_7.html Last edited by Scoobz0202 : 05-02-2011 at 12:50 AM. |

I saw what I'm fairly sure is stevew post a comment on facebook tonight. clicked on the name...and, to my surprise, discovered that he is white (or he's being tricky with his profile pick). I have no idea why, but all these years I thought he was black.

Last Fall I made a bet with a friend of mine about the movie "Thor." He was whining about how there were no good movies coming out this summer and how comic book movies sucked. I countered that there were a number of interesting comic book movies debuting this summer and cited "Thor" as an example of one that looked promising.
He mocked "Thor", so we made a bet that if "Thor" received a fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes than he would have to buy me a replica of Thor's hammer, Mjölnir. If it was "Rotten", I would have to buy him one. With 58 reviews in to date, "Thor" is currently rocking a 94% fresh rating. Oh, yes. Soon I will have a Mjölnir of my very own! And I plan to bring it to his house whenever I come over and will display it prominently whenever he comes over.

Quick background. My babysitter is a former student and has looked up to me as a mentor for years (real dad is a deadbeat of the worst kind). We've become pretty close and often listen to her problems or help her with college courses. She's an aspiring model and since I have a background in photography, I did a lot of her portfolio shots in the past year until she started getting some attention from agencies recently. I've often been the only person backing her career.
The issue? She's suddenly become fixated on getting a boob job. She's a tall natural blond whose assets (no pun) are long legs, great smile, and for the lack of a better term, she knows how to act in front of a camera. But Her mother has basically at war with her thinking this is a dumb waste of her money and hopes I can convince her otherwise. Yet, she has a wild independent streak that she wants to do she thinks is best for her career. Not sure I have a vent, other than I worry it'll make her too much like every other model out there. But she's 18 and capable of making her own decisions. Maybe I just needed to type this out. But, obvious advantages aside, isn't it a little early to assume bigger boobs will be her big break? |

Depends upon the kind of modeling she wants to do. The average runway model (based on some quick Googling) is a B cup, plenty make it just fine at that size. Some augment after hitting the spotlight (Giselle Bundchen reportedly went from a small B to a full C for example), other work with whatever they were born with. Based on the picture, she's (very) fine for that, as well as things like retail modeling. If anything, too much of a boost and she might hurt her chances at getting work. On the other hand, ring girl/tool calender/bikini model type work does seem to run toward larger & it might be a legitimate benefit ... at least until she ages out of the niche. My question to her would be "then what?"
