Jon - Her ultimate goal is to become a Victoria Secret model. She's got the looks, the height (5'10) and the drive. She's starting to get noticed locally but shes also been frustrated with the disorganization of one of her booking agencies. I handle her finances part. As close as we are, I know her one character flaw well. She almost had an only child stubbornness to her. It gets amplified if she feels people are against her on.something she wants.
That leads us to tonight. She got her consultation. She wants to go with D cups and it'll cost $6000. Huge chuck for an 18 year old not to mention the size is a significant difference. She's a B now. It didn't help that there was a nasty backlash of Facebook about her even going to a consultation. It's almost driving her to prove a point. Her mother was part of it. I feel almost like its left up to me to be a voice of reason. |

I don't have much of an opinion professionally, I don't know whether or not it will help her. I do know that D on her is just silly. C or nothing.

Anyone else concerned that it looks like Colt is taking girls to run down buildings to take pictures of them...

I dunno, I'm generally against her having it done based on what I see/know from this thread BUT from that picture, I suspect she could pull off a D. Well, a pair of D's, you know what I mean.
I think it'll make her look one more suitable for a calendar in the back office of a grimy garage somewhere (holding a muffler while wearing a halter & some Daisy Dukes) but it would stop traffic in a bar or the grocery store without anyone thinking it was freakish.

Okay, thanks all for the comments. I've talked with some other girls I know about some things I can talk to her about. And after a few texts from her, she's pretty fired up about doing...in part because of how she thinks she'll look afterward, and to a lesser extent, because of that youthful, out to prove everyone wrong, mentality.
I'm definitely using the approach of "I'm not saying never, just not now" as far as advice goes and bring lots of reasons why it might be wise to wait a year or two (can be in a better financial position, your body may not have stopped developing - she's actually bigger now than she was last year, etc). EDIT: I think the biggest argument is something Jon mentioned. I don't think it puts her on the right track on what she wants out of modeling. That might appeal more to her than anything else. Anyway, as a thanks...here's one last picture I took right around her 18th birthday. I never edited this, so this hasn't been retouched. Last edited by ColtCrazy : 05-03-2011 at 11:11 PM. |

Okay, if that picture is a better representation of her build than the one earlier (and given the lack of clothing here, I think it has to be pretty accurate) ... I retract my earlier statement. D's on that frame are going to look very out of place. edit to add: She had to be padded or seriously pushed up or something in that t-shirt, doesn't look like the same girl from the neck down to me.

Funny thing is I took the first shot last September. The last one was in February. I'm sure its possible she was padded. Id never seen her in a bikini before that shoot. She uses extensions a lot as well, so her hair is always changing. I'll post an update once I talk to her, but I doubt ill be able to sway her...maybe adding 'random guys on a football sim website agree that Ds would make you look silly' will help my case. |

A couple of random thoughts this morning, but since they're directly connected to each other I'll just make one post.
1) In my experience it's generally not a good idea to send or accept Facebook friend requests to/from people you really don't know. Even if you've got a mutual friend or two. 2) I wonder how much it would cost to hire Bobby Knight to be my personal spokesman? Apparently I need help with being more politically correct so as not to offend anyone's sensibilities, he seems like a person who could help me in that regard.

Yea, D's on her, will be pretty much like porn star freakish looking. D's would be completely out of proportion to her over all build. If she was thicker, then I would say D's would be a good fit, but, since she is so slender, D's are just going to look odd on her.

I'm not at all trying to be a jerk here, but I really think she would be better off having a nose job than a boob job, she has a very pretty face and nice eyes, but I keep being drawn to her nose because it appears a bit out of proportion.

Okay, an update. After letting her stew yesterday, I talked to her privately today because I several reasons why should at least put it on hold. I stressed the importance of letting her body finish filling out, that she may end up where she wants to be anyway (showed her pictures I took last year when she didn't have hips, now she has some curves to her) I talked about how a sudden jump in size would alter her posture and everything (while also arguing that the jump was probably too much). I talked about the risks of surgery, the need to not make decisions so fast, especially since she was frustrated at how others went against her. I also talked about how at 18, she can't afford the non-interest payments and that the interest payments would make a 6K surgery end up being 8.5K and how that would affect her credit.
In the end, she agreed to table it and put some thought in it. I'm touched that she listened to me and glad she saw several of my points to be valid. We'll see what happens. It's quite possible it gets tabled and never brought up again. She may look at it again eventually but at least she's put some thought into it. Oh, and Jedi. Officially single, but there's a navy boy she's interested in. That's another we'll see. But he'd better not talk her back into doing it. |

I will say it would be nice to have a little background in PR though. I do get paid to manage her financials, but the booking agents are suprisingly useless when it comes to consistent jobs. I'd do a little of the leg work to book things if I had an idea where to get started. I'm not assuming there's a huge payday down the road, but it'd be nice to get strong local reputation while I earn a little money by smoozing.

Not too happy that it appears someone either did or tried to hack into my yahoo account. By coincidence, it's the same account that I used for my Sony PS3 account. I don't think they got in, because I was able to change my password and am back up and running. So, I've spent a good portion of the morning changing all my passwords again.

Those really are the best two weeks ever, aren't they. Oh no can't give you any new work, here have this fluff task to keep you busy for a little while. Surfing the web? Of course you're surfing the web you're just hanging around to be polite for people to ask you questions on your way out! All turnover meetings involve lots of envy and asskissing "oooo new job, exciting! We'll miss you everyone here loves you!". Its just a great time. The first job I left, I was working on a very major project at the time, the most complicated professional services custom project going on in our office. I had to turn over the whole thing, it was literally a 3 day turnover with the new project manager and lead technical guy. The day after I finished that, the tech guy came up to me and said "These guys are totally fucked. I couldn't say anything until today b/c it wasn't a done deal yet, but I turned in my notice today. Sorry you wasted your time." DOH! |

I find it somewhat amusing that I'm going to a Cinco de Mayo themed event.
Damned if I know what Avenged Sevenfold/Seether/Alter Bridge have to do with Mexico, but I'm not gonna complain.

Yup. Metalingus is the title of the theme, although at this point they're better known for either the current hit Isolation or last year's Rise Today.

Our local WalMart has two entrances, one on far left of the front, one on the far right. Overnight, they close the one on the non-grocery side and never open it until about 7AM. Yet, the only register open at 6AM is the one in the middle??? Why? Why isn't one open by...hmm...the only way in and out of the store at that morning? It's also the only lane open, yet there's always a massive line at that time of the morning.
One reason I hate small town....when the monopoly store is stocked with misfits. |

They do give tickets for being on the phone in a school zone. I'm driving in Dallas in a neighborhood I've never been. I make a sharp turn and there's a flashing school zone sign. I was talking to someone but as soon as I saw the sign I slowed down to the speed and noticed everyone else was going faster than me, significantly. Anyway, I saw a cop in the middle and when I passed he turned on his lights. I was wondering who he was going to pull over with so many going over the speed limit. Then he gets behind me and I realize I still have the phone to my head. I hadn't sad anything on the phone in 30 seconds and wasn't keeping up with the conversation as soon as I noticed I was in a school zone. I realized he was pulling me over for being on the phone and quickly said by to the person I was ignoring. Holy shit, that blindsided me. I was watching everyone else drive way past the speed and I was in shock. I could barely wait until the cop left to bust out laughing, holy shit. I was driving safer than all the cars around me, haha.
