I think the Chargers should've called at least 1 run with the Goal to Go situation there since they had a TO.

I agree. All I saw here was incomplete pass. Were they trying to dump the ball off to Tomlinson at least?

Like I said, when Terrence Holt is out there he makes things happen. Interception. Game over.

The Lions now have sole possession of first place in the NFC North.

Nice.

Also, first time the Packers have been held without a TD in 77 games.

naturally the Giants are playing the longest game in history, so they can't even switch off to a good game.

Where's that dude who said the 49ers were going to make the playoffs and win a playoff game? Where is he? He should be here talking some serious smack.

I'm just happy the Rams got humiliated. I like seeing the underdog pull off a major upset.

Hell, the oddsmakers know what they were doing after all when they made the line only at 7!

So, if Green Bay goes 1-15 and has the first pick in the draft, do they take Leinart?

Because they lost in Detroit you think they would go 1-15? That's dumb. The Packers lose in domes much more then they win. It's been that way since Favre has been at QB, and why should it change now?

The Packers problems were actually from areas that no one focused on when they point out their weaknesses. THe DB's played fairly well, except for the penalties. The two guards played fine, although there were a couple problems.

What drove me nuts about the Packers play was two things, clearly the penalties were just horrible today. The other is this crap about calling for a 2-4 yard pass when it is 3rd and 6-8 to go. If they didn't call the short pass, they went for a 30 yard pass. That happened time and time again, drove me insane.

I agree. They did this over and over. It did not drive me insane, it made me quite happy each and every time they had to punt.

He, along with several other Packers, fought leg cramps today. I am not sure why this was a problem in a dome.

I think their legs cramped up because of fear. They were afraid of the Lions. New, imposing black unis and all...

yeah, well the lack of any substantial points by Ahman Green (8) and Ryan Longweil (goose egg) is what's going to do me in. That plus the fact that she has McNabb and I have TO so I won't gain many points there probably...

unless Edge can pull out a big game, then I still have a chance...

Today's example of how the NFL changes from year to year:

Pick #1 - 49ers beat Rams (playoff team)
Pick #2 - Dophinis beat Dolphins (playoff team)
Pick #5- Bucs beat Vikings (playoff team).

3 of the 5 worst teams last year all beat playoff teams from a year ago.

I too am relying on the Edge in fantasy league. Not looking promising...

Wellesley? Definitely. Lady H_B went to Wellesley. Been on the virtual tour of the campus a few times (saw "Mona Lisa Smiles" on a airplane too), never yet been there in person.

Though I did read a rather lecherous Rolling Stone article on it. Lady H_B doesn't appreciate it when I quote that article.

Just got home from the game.

Go Niners!!!

Just like I thought, the defense is going to be the key to the season. Our linebacking core is severly underrated. Also, watch out for Arnez Battle. This guy is going to make some big plays for the Niners this season.

REALLY. The campus is really beautiful. And take it from me, as someone who has many female coworkers and what-not who went to Wellesley...it really is THAT crazy as they say in the Rolling Stone article. Aaah some of the stories I could tell you about Dyke Ball and just random craziness. It's a crazy place...I actually live really close to the campus too.

I can't believe that Martz did not kick the FG on that 4th down play late in the game. Lucky for him they scored a TD or else he would have had to answer some questions why he didn't go for the FG when the NEEDED two scores.

Important rule you should have asked me about before you picked your team. Do NOT depend on Packer players to hold up your fantasy team. Just can't count on what they will do, or what player will stand out if any do.

Perhaps you could send me some on the sly... I have seen some pictures of Lady H_B in pre Ball gear. Looked pretty wild.
