The implication is that since I said "I don't even know who my faction leader is", I'm an assassin (as every non-assassin is either a faction leader, or is told who their faction leader is). As I've explained, I've been trying to separate myself from my faction. The initial statement I made was a little bit over the top, obviously, and required some explanation.

VOTE COFFEE WARLORD EXECUTE
Just because he's reading the thread and I've read the rules about five times and I'm still a little clueless as to what's going on. |

You know what, I'm a noble, and I don't really need to give one. For some reason some people think that if you aren't a bad guy you can't employ any semi-unique strategies. I played an unusual game two times ago, and helped carry my villager team to victory. Last time, I went a little bit out of the box, and I got killed early, though my villager team did gain some info and were able to make it competitive.

Btw, if anyone's wondering. I voted to jail because if I'm reading this right, I get more points being the first to vote for jailing an assassin than I do for executing. I think that how those points are awarded, anyway.

You know what, I'm not. I'm hoping to get my team some good points tonight if we can execute someone who has done nothing to refute the charges against him (McSweeny), probably because at this piont he just doesn't want to incriminate his cohorts. If I get killed, I have confidence that my team will still pull out a positive result. While I'm alive, I'm going to worry about figuring out how to accumulate our points instead of squabbling over semantics.

I don't know what the heck RPI-Fan is doing, but I usually don't know what the heck he's doing, and he's batting 0.500 with it so far.

But why would you care if you've already distanced yourself from them? I asked that with honest interest, and I got a defensive, non-explainative answer, and now this. What the fuck are people supposed to think? I think it's obvious at this point.

What good does it do me to associate myself with my team? Yes, I'd like to see "the nobles" win. But I'd rather my faction get a major victory. I think confusing the other noble faction will help with that, as my boys will have my back as much as I'd have their's.

But making yourself a target doesn't help your faction, it makes you look like a turned noble. I don't know what else to say, other than you either made a huge mistake, or a really bad strategical blunder. No offense, as I've messed up in other games too. I just want to help my faction win.

I don't really know what to think of RPI fans strategy but I will say it is very, very clear to me that he is in the same faction as me ... the only other noble I am sure about at this point is ardent, who I *think* is also in my faction.

See, my view is that as a true noble I have nothing to fear... It's helped me in one game, and hurt me in another. I'm willing to take my chances here, as I think a positive result is very much there for the taking, as we already have some good information on the assassins.

Hrm. Mr. Wednesday seems a lost cause -- I think that's a good thing, but I'm not sure. With Dubb and Hoops out today, there wasn't as much activity as I'd like (though that's partly my fault, as I wasn't here). Tomorrow should be better, as I don't work until the evening, and I only have to run to the post office.
For now, I'm going to go in a different direction -- Mr. Wednesday seems to be up shit creek without a paddle, and though there might be points to be gained, I think extra votes on him aren't helping any at this point. Hopefully we can make use of the information gained by my play tomorrow. I don't have much on this, other than the fact that I definitely know he's moving in the wrong direction. Vote Schmidty Execute.

The day was pretty quiet. For whatever reason people seem pretty sure about their votes and there seems to be very little doubt about who is going to go. Even Mr. Wednesday seems very calm with what is happening. Rather than being executed, he takes a poisen offered to him and dies a quick and mostly painless death. Following his death there is the ritual searching of his room. And to nobodies surprise, several violent instruments are found, as are several letters with seditous writings. Mr. Wednesday was indeed an ASSASSIN. As the nobles sit down for dinner the spymaster posts a sheet of paper with the following written on it:
Faction A 2.5 Faction B 8 Faction C .5 Vote count was: Wednesday 9 (8e, 1j): George W Bush, Ardent enthusiast, McSweeny, TazFTW, st.cronin, Saldana, Coffee Warlord, Kingfc22, Desnudo RPI-Fan 2 (2e): Schmidty, Passacaglia Coffee 1 (1e): Raiders Army Schmidty 1 (1e): Vince Night actions are due by 10 PM Eastern. |
