God I need to stop holding up this draft, usually I am on FOFC every couple of hours at least, but my internet has been up and down this week. I think its back up for good now anyway... Anyway, pick in a second...

Would anyone object if I put this mock draft up on my college football blog (In The Bleachers--in my sig line if you are interested)?
I think it is far better than anything I could put together by myself and, with it being three rounds, it might be a pretty good read for others. I won't put any screen names or anything up, but I will mention that each team had a different person drafting for it. |

Bush's doctor says that he "99% recovered" with his leg and that he should be at full strength by training camp. He is a big back that can become an every down back, but would not need to be for the Steelers this season, as they return their top three backs from last season (Willie Parker, Najeh "Dumper" Davenport, and Verron Haynes). Plus, he is a versatile athlete (he was recruited to Louisville as a quarterback), so he can partake in the Steelers' traditional "gadget" plays. For the short term, I can see him getting 8-10 carries a game with the long term potential to be a starter, so I'm happy to add him in the third and since we have two 4th rounders, I will not feel like we lost much even if he is not healthy to begin the season. Someone was bound to take him and I wanted to get to him before someone else did. |

The New Orleans Saints select Josh Wilson CB/KR Maryland
Another piece to helping overhaul the secondary. He hasn't been a big ballhog at CB in college, but hes made plays in run support and has shown the skills to be able to cover in man in the NFL. An option to replace an aging Michael Lewis at kick return. |

Eagles take LB Justin Durant, Hampton.
LOL!! Jumped the gun on the Jets and was on the fence about Durant or Bazuin. Well, the first time around I went with Bazuin...this time, when it counts, I'm going for Durant. Don't really have a reason for the flip-flop but I'm going with my gut on this one. (For those who didn't notice...I posted my pick...Bazuin...by accident before the Jets had a chance to chime in with their pick.) |

If his name isn't really "Stephen" Nicholas, I'm gonna be pissed. I knew a Stephan in school, and he was a huge bitch. Just about at the 4th, where I get to make FOUR picks ! I'm such a nerd. Last edited by Logan : 04-24-2007 at 03:09 PM. |

I was hoping to snag him with my last 4th, #135. Major, major character concerns. He's probably one of the guys who will scare off a lot of teams with the new conduct guidelines. But still a big talent. |

Definitely major character concerns, but we are the Raiders . We need an impact DT when Warren Sapp retires and I felt he was the only one left on the board with that potential and since I was able to address the holes I wanted to fill on offense with my first 4 picks, I think he was worth a shot here in the 4th.

Good pick with Tony Hunt. I was trying to decide between him and Bush with my 3rd rounder.
Oakland has certainly picked up quite a few good, well-known, skill players so far. |

No. But you can take solace in the fact that I drafted a guy with the pick the Niners got for Lloyd that will have a much greater impact than the guy you're trying to dump off. Tell your front office to watch a player actually play in games, instead of seeing his Sportscenter highlights, before trading for him. |

I see your point but at the same time, I'm doing what I think the Eagles should do...not what I think the Eagles are going to do. Right or wrong, that's my spin on all of this. |
