Dell Curry doesn't appear in '86. These are random things I've noticed.

And this is the same league I started before you changed the way the databases are used, so I had NBA using the historical DB and ABA creating fictional players (which I deleted). The ABA is obviously no longer running anyways.

Hey HR could you have recommend depth chart work out like it did in the college game where you could have players set to multiple legal positions. Because at the moment it mostly set starters as only one legal position.

Also I think players in the from the 40's to late 60's are way to efficient thats why the rebounding numbers are low for them.

Actually I think players in general are just way more efficient fictionally which brings down rebounding numbers.

I realize I might be getting nitpicky with the coach of the year stuff, but a HC won coach of the year and his team went 33-49 and missed the playoffs. My understanding is that he probably had a 20-win team and improved them substantially, but it's hard to imagine IRL a coach winning with that record, period.

Yes but I have to go back and try and make a few sections of code work better. Its on the list its just complicated.

My theory here is that the DB got changed when I had you reinstall and it shifted the IDs when I deleted the extra Billy Ray Bates. So it checks to see if an ID has been used and finds that it has because the missing players got shifted to players who already entered the league.

Yeah I can echo this. In my one league, I had a coach of the year of an expansion team that only won about 22 games win it.

Not sure if it's just my import or not, but importing draft file and I get several stray draftees the computer presumably adds to the draft pool. Not sure why. I can tell they're strays because 1) it's an all-women's league so the names stick out 2) they have #s and none of the imports do and 3) it's a D3 league, so their schools stick out since they're all D1.

Again, not sure if it's something having to do with my import file or if it's the game just doing that on its own, but wanted to bring it up anyway.

It was mostly the old trick of trading a future 1st round pick for a bad team's. Some of the bad teams do seem to properly value their future picks, but then another whose roster didn't look any better imo would have a much lower threshold. Certainly not an issue worth fixing at this point.

And finally, in a couple years one game didn't get played on the last day of the regular season (and it was where teams were within .5 game, so it mattered at least for draft pick coin flip purposes). Sorry I don't have a current save there.

Why would you have to ? I mean, do you strive to recreate every torn acl in the 10th game of the season as well ? Oden (and Blake, too ?) were drafted when they had no injury and i think everything after that should be fair game. Make Oden´s injury proneness (is there a rating like this, can´t check right now) sky high, but other than that i don´t see why this case should be any different than any other long term injury.

I can see how that would be harder to figure out if you changed the names. USBL is the longer league. I'll see if I can't have the game display those based on the names found in the csv files.

Fixes:
*Players imported from FBCB should enter the draft pool one year younger than before to account for the fact that FBCB ages them prior to exporting the draft file.
*Scroll bar on training screen was not showing the last player in the list.
*Training boxes should refresh immediately when using recommend.
*Highlighted player should match ratings at bottom when scrolled down on training screen.
*Fixed error 9 on human coaches screen when all teams have been set to human controlled.
*Power poll should give more teams a rating before games have been played.
*All-Defensive teams should be included in the totals section of player achievements
*Schedule is properly initialized when starting a new game when a game is already open.
*Fictional players will not be created with no name if you use a country not in the country database as the host country for your league.
*Export current league to league file option should properly export the division settings.
*Fixed a bug where previous players in the rookie game would get an achievement for playing in the current rookie game if it was cancelled.

Changes:
*Added Rings stat to archive all players report
*Emails about contract extensions now use the view offer button which will take you straight to the negotiations section.

*Adjusted coach of the year calculations to value overall team record more.
*Expansion teams will be given no better than the #4 overall pick when the lottery is not used.

For whomario's thing, you could also just have the option to have someone get generated when they were drafted IRL (Bird '78, Admiral '87, Griffin '09) or when they first played (Bird '79, Admiral '89, Griffin '10)

To elaborate, specifically in a team's CSV you have a column to set the league they are in - it's how the Pacers move from the ABA to the NBA, for one example.

How would I set that up if teams are supposed to organically go up and down the tiers?

Hmmm...that might be tough. How about we set the csvs up like I do now and I'll work out the particulars on the back end. My thought is it would introduce any new teams to the correct tier but wouldn't force any moves between the tiers as long as each active team is present in one of the tiers.

Thanks for another patch HR! Nice of you to add the rings category to the archive.

Also, I just noticed last night that you added a tracker for longest ever winning streaks into the pro game. Hope that makes it into the college game. I love little statistical add-ons like these.

heavy, I messed around with adding a historical league/teams for a game in Asia. It looks like everything is set up correctly in the csv's, but the teams don't load and the game crashes.

Could I send you some csvs and see what I'm doing wrong?

I think what was happening is that I was looking to do it under 'Review League Rules' and not the League Editor.

And fast-simming takes you a step past Offseason.

Yeah, on years I want to make edits, I stop fast-simming so I can get that period.

Just a question since I don't have the game in front of me. Where can I find the stats for every player while only in uniform for us? I was looking for the all-team leading scorer for the Hawks in my history league last night and couldn't find it.

Having an odd salary display issue, using the latest patch.

On the Hot Seat, my total salary is displayed as $40,629,031 with cap room being ($329,031). This is consistent with the salary cap report. However, the contract screen only shows my total salary for the upcoming season as $34,683,031 with no cut salary and no luxury tax. No one retired from my team in the offseason, if that matters.

I do see that I have a player with a player option for the following season for $5,950,000, which is nearly the same amount as the difference I'm seeing ($5,946,000).

You have unused exceptions which take up cap space if you are below the cap.
