I was afraid that Gus Johnson might somehow be left out of the tournament with all the NBA guys coming over from TNT. So happy that wasn't the case especially after the 3 point play opportunity George Mason just generated to try to tie the game

Williams with his only noteworthy defensive play of the game wins it (he was awfull on that end of the court)

I know itīs not a big thing for most, but Diebler is just a terrific entry passer, very underrated skill (especially if you have a guy like Sullinger in the middle)

Which is funny because Arizona fans are the biggest "The refs are against us" crowd in the NCAA

don't be surprised if the world ends tomorrow. An ACC team not named Duke or North Carolina just won a NCAA Tournament Basketball game. Its a god damn miracle.

Ohio State has 24 Assists on 27 FGs, talk about a really comfortable start. Looked like a scrimmage most of the game.

Yeah- they are very methodical and one heck of a team. Their only weakness is the lack of depth

Going into tonights games (and if Marquette continues and wins) I will have been perfect today. 98 percentile of ESPN. Four wrong yesterday.

Unfortunately, Utah State going to the Final Four looks to be my downfall. Dumbass me. Maybe I'll nail the final four and elite eight outside of that mistake. (OSU-SDSU, Kansas-Utah State.... OSU-SYR, SDSU-Duke, Kansas-Purdue, BYU-Utah State)

To be fair, today has been chalk except for Florida State and 10/7 isn't exactly a huge upset

Also perfect today- that's how I know that it's not that hard. (for the record, I had 5 wrong yesterday so you have me beat)

I usually botch some easy ones when I get too cute. Tho I have Xavier which isn't looking so hot but Marquette just can't seem to put them away.

Haven't read the thread yet but does anyone else dislike the scoreboard at the bottom of the screen? I just can't stand the round information they put at the right of the CBS "eye". I glance in that area expecting to see time remaining every single time. Not sure what purpose that information is supposed to serve to be honest. If you are watching the game you either know what round you are watching or if you don't the chances are that you don't care.

Marquette looked pretty sharp in their win over Xavier.

When they have their head in the game, they can be pretty tough. They play physical defense and have a couple of freakish athletes that can dominate at times (again, when they turn it on).

I love this VCU-Georgetown game. Georgetown looks like a goliath out there but VCU is just so fast and so skilled and they're just out-hustling Georgetown. That said, the 3-point shooting can't last the whole game so we'll see what they can do in the second half

I'm kind of surprised that Thompkins from Georgia isn't projected as a lottery pick. He will be a good value if he gets taken in the 20s.

JTIII's star has really dimmed (in my eyes, at least) during these last few years. He is a good recruiter, but it seems like he has his teams completely relying on being bigger and more athletic. He gets outcoached way too often to be considered much of a tactician these days.

I don't see him going anywhere though do you? He is getting the kids Maryland used to get and has brought G-Town back into being at least relevant nationally. Maryland on the other hand is struggling due to his ability like you said to recruit and its shown the past 3 or so years.

I don't think he would want to leave, but maybe he has gotten too comfortable/lazy? In his first few seasons, his teams were really sharp on the offensive end and ran a lot of successful plays. They made the Sweet 16 and then the Final Four and it looked like he just needed some talent/depth to make them elite.

They got Wright, Freeman, and Monroe (who have all had good college careers and been as good as billed, really), but it seems like the coaching has not been able to mesh the offense with the added talent and they have been .500ish in the Big East and a quick out in the NCAAs in the past few years.

I think it is probably over, but I won't be surprised to see VCU go on a cold streak. They've been hitting like 60% on threes and are chucking them up, right and left. Hopefully, they don't fall too in love with the 3 and can figure out how to get some easy buckets, because I doubt they'll continue to hit such a high percentage.

His style of coaching keeps them from being consistent, especially in the tourney. Teams with a high percentage of turnovers (which Georgetown has every year under him and they turn the ball over on just over 20% of their possessions this year) and a high percentage of their shots from 3 are very susceptible to early upsets.

Indiana State's point guard is playing well (even acknowledging Gus Johnson's ability to oversell a performance) this one isn't over yet.
