While I can't be sure that this is the right move, it's usually not a good sign when someone starts making multiple angry posts in an attempt to defend themselves...

How does this blow? We've got a guaranteed wolf today or tomorrow. I'd say that's pretty damned good.

If there's a Sorcerer, he only knows who the wolves are, but they don't know who he is, correct? That's way I've always thought of it.
I'm just thinking that if the wolves knew somehow that one of them were the Sorcerer, they wouldn't object to the battle.

Hey MartinD - I just saw you in the thread. You have 3 posts. Do you have anything to say?
I'd just like to get other views since we have had the same people posting a lot.

I love it when there are 2 or more guests visiting the WW forum. Hmmmm....I wonder if one of them is a wolf?

I was probably going to look at those who moved to save Clap like GE or Schmidty. We know that one of them is bad, and Jackal and he were both on the line at the end of the day. While Pass and KWhit (who we now know were both good)also moved their vote at the end, I think those votes at the end stand out to me the most. |

Just to clarity, the "We know one of them is bad" is refering to Clap or Jackal, not GE or Schidty.

ok, checking back in real quick after my shower ( I am naked and dripping wet)
I think it is possible both Jackal and Clap are wolves. They knew it was likely going to be between them and this would be a great way to buy Jackal a few days while possible outing the BG. Not willing to go down that path just yet, but keeping it in the back of my mind. |

Jackal,
Something sticks out as odd to me, and maybe you can help make sense of it. Quote:
Why would you have thought about revealing yesterday when you were away from the thread between 1:30 (when the vote count was Clap 5 -Pass 4- Jackal 2) up until 4:30 when you got back to catch up with the thread. Were you saying that you felt that a run was going to happen while you were away or something? That just doesn't make sense to me. I'm still leaning towards believing you over Clap, but that might be me not knowing when "Clap is just being Clap" as a lot of people call it. |

J - I was considering revealing earlier than that when I had at least 3 votes, but Pass and clap moved away from me and I only had two (Telle and KWhit) when I left, so I thought I'd be safe for the day.

I don't buy this. The day 1 votes are pretty random and I think it is entirely possible that you would not even been a candidate today. You are going to be useless to the village if you are telling the truth in a couple of days time. I would let clap go ahead and keep telling his story about being the bodyguard while he mysteriously stays alive. The truth would have come out. Instead, I am buying more into Lathum's theory that both of you may be wolves. It would make sense to sacrifice clap to gain trust for yourself. In fact, this theory was used last game with PB and whoever he suspected in the Alan T PM conversation. Either way, it looks like a good chance that clap is a wolf and a 50/50 chance that you are as well. VOTE claphasma

GE - People would have voted for me because it would have told the most about the day 1 vote, since we already knew what Pass was and we'd find out what clap was very soon (if he was telling the truth, which he wasn't).
I made the call on a wealth of experience in these games, and also because I didn't want to reveal too late because it would have been looked upon much more skeptically, like I was just doing it to save myself (as in my fake reveal last game). If you dislike my play from the BG standpoint, I'm sorry, but it's getting us a bad guy. And hopefully the wolves pick wrong when it comes to the NK tonight. |

I don't quite understand why Jackal's story is much more believable than clap's. I think they both suck. But I have too much of a headache right now to really delve deeper so I'll just go with the village on this one.

Are we really sure that we want to make this so one-sided? A vote like this is basically of no use to anyone further down the line for analysis purposes.

It'll be interesting to see when people voted for clap when he turns up as a wolf. I'd imagine there's at least one wolf amongst the final few voters and one amongst the first few. |

Not that vote analysis like that is decisive evidence, but it will be interesting when the numbers dwindle.

I haven't put in a vote simply because I don't think my vote matters currently. I think Clap is likely a wolf, but as I brought up earlier, I don't know if lynching him gives us much more information than we already had.
Anyway, I'll throw a vote on someone else even though there is no chance of them being lynched at this point. I think Jackal's reveal made sense if he is in fact the BG, and disagree with GE's arguement above. That combined with his late vote on day1 during the the save Clap campaign, leads me to Vote GoldenEagle |

This is the reason I buy that it makes sense for Jackal to have felt threatened, and thus revealed early in the day to get the discussion going rather than doing what Clap did and wait until near deadline with a "omg, help!" type reveal. I had my own doubts about Jackal that I posted a dozen or so posts ago that Jackal answered, though I haven't gone back to see if his answer satisfies me yet. |

Yeah, just looked (Thanks to PB's post). You were ahead in votes 4-2 over Pass at one point, though I don't know if that's anywhere close to the point you should be thinking about revealing.

Right, and I didn't - the only reason I was considering it is because I knew I was going to be gone at the deadline. I didn't want us to lose a BG because I wasn't able to get on to make the reveal. |

People commonly assume this is what wolves do, but for me I'd rather look at the votes that happened early on after the wolf had votes to help establish or prop up alternate candidates. Im not even going to bother until we know which is a wolf now and you do seem to be distracting from the real argument here which should only be about Jackyl and Clap. The rest should not be dealt with until we know which is a wolf. |

I'd say no chance they are both wolves as we would then just have a third reveal and know two out of three were wolves. Not smart at all for the wolves. Regarding scans, I would look into scanning Darth. His play has been much tighter this game than his first two and I get the sense he might be a wolf for the first time. |

Interesting theory, but it needs to be mentioned that I changed my vote right after clap revealed himself as the bodyguard. I was not down for lynching the potential body guard on day 1.

If Jackal is the wolf I am sure the wolves had no problem piling onto Clap. If Clap is the wolf then after the first couple Clap votes I am sure they just went with the group as they would rather just lose a wolf they would be losing with 2 days anyway and not standout for future votes. If it is sorcerer/BG, the wolves probably really don't care about the order and went with whoever would have them stand out the least (Clap) |
