Every Tarentino film I've seen have had enough absurd situations that I would classify as a comedy. There's an extremely-way-over-the-top element to his movies that make them funnier than many "regular" comedies.

To each his own I guess.

I'm kinda with you on that. I actually thought about Inglorious Bastards for a War possibility early in the draft, before I remembered Good Morning Vietnam. I don't think IG is out of the question in a comedy draft.

But it's definitely more of a stretch than most other comedies drafted so far.

Even if you've never seen the movie, you surely have seen the clip of the cabin teetering on the edge of a cliff. My pick to wrap up my draft is:

10.3 The Gold Rush, Historical, Before 1960

Great Chaplin, indeed.

I believe the category is 2008-present.

Don't think Juno fits here.

The category is indeed 2008-present. I don't recall when Juno came out, though. I think it came out before Superbad, though (Cera was already known for Juno when Superbad put him over the top), and I used Superbad in the 2000-2007 period (came out 2007).

According to IMDB, Juno came out on Christmas Day, 2007.

Sorry, I'll have to rule that Juno is ineligible for the 2008-present category. I know it is picking nits, but I don't want a deflated balls type controversy. Please pick again timmae.

It was released December 5th in one theater and then kept expanding. By Jan 1 2008, it had already made $27 million.

Yeah, I know that this is all in fun, but that's a pretty clear rule. It's close, but close is not enough.

Not everyone's cup of tea. But if you like the idea of Tim Curry, Martin Mull, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKean, and Madeline Kahn zinging each other again and again in a live-action spoof of a board game (of all things!), then this is your movie.

It isn't on Netflix, but is on Amazon Prime Instant Video. Worth checking out.

Still alive so i thought id check in during dinner.

Well, someone stole my Happy Gilmore pick and I can't put a second Adam Sandler movie on the a greatest comedy list. Seems very wrong. Then I remembered this movie that fits my last categories perfectly.

10.10, Jerry Maguire, Sports, 1995-99

Now that all of the picks have been made, this is only fitting considering the first pick in the draft.

Was, without a doubt, the most obvious number 1 pick. But that did mean it would go no 1, good job on grabbing it.

Nor should there have been a first nor should anyone put Adam Sandler in the same sentence with 'greatest' or 'comedy'.
