Can any of these people with mental problems play quarterback?

I try not to be a Darnold apologist or homer, but you look at some of these key plays down the stretch, and how much separation his receivers get and how much time his line gives him, I don't know what young QB could possibly look good in this system.

He makes terrible decisions and throws, and he's done that ever since USC, but damn. The Jets are just an absolute trainwreck of below replacement level players all over the roster.

This sums his situation up perfectly. No one could succeed with the weapons and o-line the jets are putting out there.

Their defense showed up for a quarter but the entire roster is pretty much shit.

Unlike the Jets, the Broncos are playing their 3rd QB in 4 games. I don't know why Denver didn't sign an actual vet (Jameis?) to hold a clipboard in case of injury, but this is what you get scraping the barrel of unproven QBs. I don't know if Lock is the answer, but he doesn't have anything to do with the QB play tonight.

And not to belabor the point, but it's not just the fact that Braxton Berrios is his #1 WR, and his previous #1 WR took a bit more money to go be a #4 with the Panthers just to get away from the Jets, or that the line basically doesn't have a single player with NFL starting quality on it.

Anyone who watched 5 mins of Darnold in college could tell you his skillset was creating on the run, being moved around amd moved out of the pocket, being given time to create and find receivers downfield. So now he's being asked to be a drop back passer with the worst talent around him in the league and everyone is surprised he gets sacked and forces passes a lot. Like no shit - Gase is absolutely terrible and seems to actively go out of his way to find situations where he doesn't play to his players strengths. I missed most of the first half but did the Jets call a remotely creative play the whole game - they certainly didn't in the second half.

I'm definitely going to sound like a homer and I realize that. I love Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, but there's no way they came out of college being better and more accomplished passers than Darnold. What they did do is land places with actual NFL coaches who saw their talent and decided to design an offense around them, put talent in place (and aggressively go out and acquire talent where needed) to help them succeed, and you are seeing the results and the development. This shouldn't be rocket science when you are spending the capital to draft a QB #3 overall. Gah... Gase is just terrible and it's inconceivable he still has a job and is being allowed to control a football team.

Trevor Lawrence should sit out instead of going to the Jets. Like start a gofundme and do a church mission for a year sit out.

I don't know... post-Gase there are some pieces there you could work with. That roster could be like all the castoff Dolphins who regress to their proper level once they escape the shadow of Gase.

Why do the Patriots have to play? The Titans got a free bye week when some of their guys were positive.

Well, they "got a free bye week" in the sense that they take theirs now, and lose it mid-season (when it presumably might have been more helpful for resting up actual football wear-and-tear, etc). Not like they just got handed a week off and a free win, right?

Just based on what I see Rypien is gonna be a solid QB. Undrafted, but IMO hes better than Herbert already. Yeah, he doesnt have a 'cannon' but his progressions are already superior.

Also, not gonna claim this but there is a new verbage that we should be using.

Everyone knows "You got Mossed" but there is a new one

"You got Gased" Not to be confused with GASSED.

Ex: I started Chris Herndon b/c my other TE is injured, he got 1 catch.
OMG u got gased.

Fuck Adam Gase.

Looks like there's positive COVID tests on both sides of the Chiefs-Pats game. The Chiefs 3rd string qb (the one who's been playing Cam Newton all during practices) tested positive.

That's taking the job a bit too far.

Does he deserve to be cut or should he get a bonus?

Ok, this is pretty funny (as long as no one is seriously affected by it)

Interesting. Bears moving QB Tyler Bray onto the roster. He'd been on the protected list on the practice squad.

Apparently, the FB was re-tested and tested negative, so it looks like a false positive and the game will be played today.

People normally get excited when their team goes up 14-0 right?

People in Detroit just start bracing themselves for a big disappointment when the team blows the lead later on.

He’s a rocket scientist and called one of the greatest defensive plays in Super Bowl history, do not question his judgment!

New England Patriots-Kansas City Chiefs planned for Monday

Also, is there any way this isn't played? Right now it's "pending tests", but it seems like after moving TV heaven and earth to get this done, everyone's going to miraculously test negative.

It will take another year or two to build the team around him, but it's hard not to be excited by Joe Burrow.

At least the Lions were involved in a Scorigami game. That was the first ever 35-29 finish.

Don't understand kicking the XP down by 8 late in the game. If you go for 2 and get it, you can win the game with a TD. If you miss, you still get a chance to go for 2 to tie.

It's simple. If you somehow get 2 TDs and lose by 2 points because you didn't just kick the 2 XPs, you have all hell coming down on you from talk radio, fans, etc. Same reason why managers always go to the closer in the 9th, because it saves them from second guessing since it was the conventional wisdom right decision.

If you are not a fan of a division rival or other team chasing a 1/2 seed in the AFC, and you have not adopted the Bills as your bandwagon second favorite team of this season, then you and I are wired very differently.

If the Colts could get some healthy receivers and Philip Rivers in prime form then they would be a pretty formidable team.

Agreed here, but I've been complaining about the lack of 2 pt aggressiveness for a long time now. I also like the idea of going for 2 if you score late up by 1 to make it a 9pt game instead of an 8pt game. Especially if you're facing a good offense.
