The school that would not die finally did. We met on Saturday to do records day and I'm finally done for the summer. We'll end up getting an entire month less this summer than usual because of us getting out late and starting earlier to try to build in more snow days.
Spent the rest of the day going to a local festival and some graduation parties for former students. Only thing to piss me off...two former students, now in middle school, decided to shoot me with silly string while walking around the festival. Ahh, the maturity of middle school boys... |

Random factoid: Fergie of the BEP was the voice of Sally Brown in quite a few of the Peanuts movies and TV specials.

So, I pull up to Taco Bell and they inform me they might be out of some favorites as they had run out of some things. I inquired as to what they might be out of..
steak, chicken, cup, hard taco shells, cheese... I lost track after they need they were out of cheese. How about ice? Got ice? I guess today was the last day and they are tearing it down and rebuilding it still..

If I call UPS in the morning will they be able to hold packages so I can pick them up after work from UPS? I just ordered components for a gaming rig and for a few reasons I'd rather pick them up.

My hobby for the summer has been to go "picking" but I do it through estate auctions. I've picked up some interesting items, but this coming Saturday looks like it could come straight from the show.
The auction listing has tons of things. The guy has collections of guns, oil lamps, swords, lanterns, old hot wheels, 60s-70s comic books, furniture, Civil War items, and glass records. However, by far the oddest/creepiest thing is the estate has a large collection of KKK memorabilia including a wizard's robe, ceremonial sword, and other items. The inclusion of these items doesn't surprise me. Indiana once had the 2nd largest KKK following in the country. Part of me is going to buy some of the antiques...and part of me is curious to see who the hell would buy a KKK robe. |

You might want to call them as soon as you get a tracking number. Very generally speaking I believe the answer to your question is yes, at least I know it's something that's done pretty commonly around here with FedEx.

I'll definitely wait till I get a tracking number. I planned on doing that anyways but it was a little late when I typed that question so I was a little drowsy. I am hoping thats the case. I was asking because google-fu came up with some comments about UPS refusing to do that for no real reason. I even think it says they can on their website, not sure. No idea how founded the google comments are, though. |

I may have finally found a recipe from America's Test Kitchen that I do not like. I certainly won't make it again.
/tk P.S. The recipe is for "Classic Stuffed Peppers" from the 2003 season. Too sweet. Mine taste a lot nicer.

I just watched an entire episode of Matlock, and didn't even realize it until it was almost over. Somehow. I knew what the plot was about and actually actively watched the last 3 minutes or so to see the ending.
I turn 36 in less than a month. Is this the beginning of the end?

End of the end would have been you saying "I've seen this one already!" 4 seconds into the opening scene.

In this day of malware, spyware, and phishing, why do companies still use third-party survey sites that don't link through their own site? I'm willing to take many of these surveys, just not if you expect me to click on some link to some unknown marketing company to do it. I don't know that they are aboveboard, I've never heard of them before...

Since yesterday morning, the following has occurred in this order:
Yesterday: Loaded my bowling bag into my car Drove to work Drove to bowling Drove home Unloaded the bowling bag from my car and brought it up to the front door of my house Noticed a huge box that UPS had left outside the door for my wife Unlocked the front door Picked up the UPS box and brought it into the house Closed door Went to bed Today: Looked around my house for my bowling bag Panicked Looked outside Saw bowling bag still sitting outside the house Short version of story: I left my bowling bag sitting outside all night. Over $400 worth of equipment out in the open where anybody could walk off with it. Good job, Tudors. Good job.

We have them in the non-main bathrooms at work. Unless you're needing an extended stay, it's not a problem (but yes, I have had the lights turn out on my a few times).

We have had them installed in all of our bathrooms for a while now. I like it. Never had an issue with them. When I was in Brussels, the lights had a timer and a motion sensor on them and they would go off after a period of time if there was no movement. The bathrooms in our office had there own separate little rooms for toilets, as opposed to stalls, with full doors and locks and everything. Sometimes, I would go in there to take a nap and it was pitch black when the lights would go out, but a little jarring when they flashed back on.

So even though we ended up having 2 girls instead of 1 boy/1 girl like we planned, I guess I didn't miss out on EVERYTHING I expected to experience with a son. I just had the following text discussion with my daughter:
Her: Wut is the cardinals/nationals game on the DVR list Me: The last batter Jayson Werth takes a 2-strike outside pitch into RF and I recorded it so you could watch it Her: OK I'll check it out

It's only been a rotating strike until today Mustang (so 1-3 or so cities out on any given day). Then the company shut us all down and now it sounds like the government is going to force us back to work. Seems like a complete joke that they basically refused to negotiate and will now get a forced settlement, but on the plus side the total shutdown isn't likely to last long.

Just started a couple months ago actually. This whole process has me doing some re-evaluating. Not overly impressed with the union but really disturbed by the tactics employed by Canada Post itself. Not a situation I want to be going through every 4-5 years that's for sure.

Since when have you stated referring to yourself in the third person as "some chick in my bowling league"? Did that start in the NBA finals thread? It's kind of obnoxious, don't you think? Please stop it.

I work with a woman who has a tattoo on her breast that looks kinda like a wreath. You can't tell where it ends. I am curious, but don't think asking would go very well.
