No, there is no point. Those aren't the kind of guys that get traded on draft day. Anybody who wants them will just wait for the Redskins to cut them.

HiFi...how about this: If any of those guys get traded this weekend, I'll donate $100 to the charity of your choice. And if not, you donate to mine. Deal?

D'oh, I was praying Patrick would keep slipping.

How did Patrick last this long? Hes rated by most as the second or third best TE in the draft

I had Patrick in my top 5 list for my 2nd rounder. I was desperately hoping that he would fall to Carolina in this round.

I'm stunned that there were 13 WRs taken and not a one of them was named JLH...

He was the 3rd WR on the list I sent for my two 4ths.

I had LB-Stewart Bradley from Nebraska on my list for my next pick...I'm curious, did he do something stupid or get injured or something??

I had thought he was a 2nd-3rd round guy this year & nobody picked him. Most scouts put him at top 5 OLB, and not a distant 5th, or even necessarily 5th either. Hmm...sometimes it happens I guess.

Oh how I wish I had been drafting for the Raiders 2007. Megatron + Olsen + Trent Edwards. Even Marcus Thomas contributes a little.

Look at it this way, Danny. Had you drafted those guys, the Raiders would have been good and had a low draft pick this past draft. So Al Davis would have packaged the three of them to trade up and get Heyward-Bey. And you would be in the same position today as you are anyway.

Joking aside, you really managed to nail those picks. Good job.

That's funny...I was sooo high on Mason Crosby that I took him in the 3rd round.

I still remember cursing when we took that dopey T in the 6th rd instead of Crosby.

Fun stuff to go back and look at. I think I drafted for need for the Chargers, but drafted the wrong SC receiver and completely missed on rounds 2 & 3. IRL I'm very happy the Chargers traded up to take Weddle, he's turned out to be a brilliant pick.

I'm not sure how many good players we completely missed on but just skimming through it seems like so far 2007 has turned out to be a really shallow draft (of course 2 years isn't really enough to make a complete judgement but a lot of "who the hells" on that list) Some great picks at the top but tails off very quickly.

Oh and LOL at me jumping all over Edward for trying to trade Vick. That trade looks a little better in the light of day now. Wonder if he had any inside information

Reggie Nelson in the first was a good pick and would likely be starting instead of Reggie Williams, but Alama-Francis couldn't even make the Lions this year.

New rule, don't pick anyone from U Hawaii, ever.

edit: Yikes that was a terrible real life draft for the Bengals. Only 1st rounder Leon Hall and compensatory 7th rounder Chinedum Ndukwe are still with the team.

Looks like I got the positions right in rounds 1 or 2, but the Steelers made much better calls w/ Timmons and especially Woodley. Timmons has been somewhat of a disappointment, but he has the starting job this season (he has been battling nagging injuries up to this point, unfortunately).

Like HiFi's moral outrage at no one trying to trade up to the 6th spot since it was COMMON KNOWLEDGE that the Redskins would trade down in the actual draft...

...you know, instead of taking LaRon Landry at the 6th spot like he, and we all, expected.

DeTox, how about starting a 2010 mock draft? I'm in for Atlanta.

Haven't had time to do the research yet, but I think we should all do an assessment of how it really turned out?

Just a recap of my picks for Atlanta in 2007.

Quote:
8 Atlanta Falcons OT Levi Brown, Penn State -- 1st round, 10th
39. Atlanta DE Charles Johnson, Georiga -- 3rd round, 20th
44. Atlanta - CB, Marcus McCauley, Fresno State -- 3rd round, 8th
75. Atlanta RB Kenny Irons, Auburn -- 2nd round, 17th
109. Atlanta S Michael Johnson, Arizona -- 7th round, 14th

Levi Brown. Was drafted by Cardinals and has started 43 or 45 games. Didn't see a bunch of accolades for him but think he has settled as a solid RT.

Charles Johnson. Was drafted by Panthers and has started 4 of 32 games. Has had 10 sacks which I thought was pretty good.

Marcus McCauley. Was drafted by Vikings but has moved on to Detroit. Not much of an impact.

Kenny Irons. Can't find him on nfl.com.

Michael Johnson. Drafted by Giants. Started 35 of 47 games. 156 tackles in the past 3 years, 2 sacks, 3 interceptions.

No basis in reality, but am giving myself a B.

Irons was drafted by the Bengals, but blew out his knee in training camp and was released the next year.
