I want the players to be mic'd so that NFL films can make sure to have the audio for that.

The problem is that there needs to be rules like this, just like with the tuck rule. I certainly don't want the refs to start trying to make decisions based on what they think the player was trying to do. They make enough mistakes as it is.

Bradford may wind up being the real deal. Gonna be tough to pull out this win, though...

Do they think that you get a special bonus if you don't use your timeouts?

Yeah, the Ram receivers are not helping Bradford lead his team to his first win as a pro.

LOL, the announcer in the STL-ARI game just said something about the Rams kicking a FG....they're down by four.

The other guy finally corrects him after a play goes by.

They wasted about 30 seconds on those two plays because they didn't use their timeouts.

How many people would be screaming bug if in an FOF game a team ran the ball with 10 second left from the 40 when they were down by 4?

Yeah that run was a very conservative call...it is kind of tough when it's 4th down..want to make sure you get at least one shot at the end zone

If you are taking one shot at the endzone take it on 4th down. Does it matter if you are taking a 40 yard shot at the endzone or a 37 yard shot at it? If they had used their timeouts correctly they would have still had about 30 seconds left on that play and maybe could haverunit so they could hurry up to spike it and still have 2 or 3 shots left.

Just horrible.

I agree with you here. This is exactly why I didn't like the redefinition of what is a catch. The whole maintain control after contact with the ground BS. I don't really have an answer, but this is taking the ball out of the player's hands.

Ok, forgetting the screwed up clock management beforehand, if it's 4th and 1 with 10 seconds left, and you're at the 40, with one TO left, it could be argued to run it to get a bit closer and have time enough for one more play. If you don't have the timeout, obviously you chuck it on 4th down.

I had him on the bench because I had Mendenhall and Jones Drew starting. Foster would have put me over the top this week by himself.

Yes. Because Roger Goodell ordered that flag to be called. You're a goofy sort.

Man, those Manning brothers just exude charisma, that was the greatest promo ever. I hope they replay it a good 4 or 5 more times tonight.

As I watch him I wonder if he won't end up better than his father who was always one of my favorite players as a kid.

The one thing I learned today by watching commercials is that if I ever am in the Mojave desert & need to tow stuff up a strange metal track heading nowhere, I might need a Toyota truck.

On a side note, I used to work with a 6-foot tranny, but I never checked to see if he was aluminum.

Foster saw carries in only 4 games during the 2009 season as the Texans looked for anything possible to jumpstart their running game (30th in the league in rushing yards). He's been the team's clear first option throughout the offseason...today probably solidifies that. Sorry, Steve Slaton.
