Do I want to extend two years or do I wanna extend TE Schultz? I have 36 mill available. Who is left with two years that’s a key player?
DE Shea. And… CB Bobo And that’s it. What do they want? Shea – 4 years, 73 mill Bobo – 4 years, 73 mill Huh! What’s their cap hit? 13 mill for Bobo and 11 mill for Shea I extend them both. I have 10 mill under cap and won’t make any more offers for now.

The 2043 NFL Regular Season
I expect 12-4 this year as we are keeping adding in talent in the draft. Week 1 – At the Saints – Again, an away game the NFC South to begin our season. We have lost this game the last two years. Can we switch things up this year? We lose 28-35, Pritchett is injured on the second possession and Van Pelt finished the game with 22 of 29, 207 and 1:0. Wilcox was 12 for 129 and TE Schultz with the score. Bonnell was 23 for 147 and 2 scores. 5 KRB by Gillespie Pritchett is doubtful with turf toe for an unknown period of time and I won’t start him until he returns. Week 2 – Colts – We win 48-6. Van Pelt is MVP with 21 of 26, 260 and 3:0. Bonnell, Schultz and Woodard with scores. Bonnell held to 78 yards and a score. Rush TD by Van Pelt. Three Picks by Davidson! One a pick six. 3 FF by Boucvalt, Stone and DE Conyers. 3 pasdef by Boucvalt. 4 KRB by Farley. Week 3 – At DC – We win 28-16 and MVp is DE Colby Shea, his first. He grabbed 3 sacks, 1 block, 1 hurry and 3 QB Knockdowns. Bonnell was 22 for 128 and 1 score. Van Pelt was 21 of 28, 246 and 2:1. 2 scores by Wilcox. Pick six by WLB Carpenter. 5 KRB by Tatum and Lynch Week 4 – 49ers – We win 29-14. Another Game MVP by Shea! Shea had…..FIVE SACKS. Dang! 1 block, 4 hurries, 6 QB knockdowns. Dude is a force. Bonnell held to 78 yards and a score, Van Pelt was 18 of 29, 239 and 2:1, scores by Bonnell and Wilcox. Pick by Boucvalt. 2 sacks by Conyers. That is the most sacks I've had in one game in this dynasty. We are 3-1 at the first quarter mark. Can Van Pelt sustain it?

Stats
Offensive Passing QB Van Pelt – 329 of 488, 3762, 36:8, 108.1 He led in rating by a bunch, TDs by a bunch, but was middle of the pack for yards. That was arguably a better year than Pritchett with the Picks. He had more TDs, fewer picks, and a better rating than Pritchett ever did. So…now what? Rushing RB Bonnell – 326 for 1903, 5.84 ypc, 13 scores Nasty! He almost got 2k yards rushing and was 600 yards in front of the next guy. Bonnell is a weapon! Receiving Here you go! Obviously with a Qb that has shorter tosses and fewer yards these guys won’t have as great a season. But Wilcox owned the TD record by 4 scores. We only had 9 WRs with 1000+ yards so there were a few places to send the scores. Bonnell a reduced received role as well as you saw but he was still a solid player! Blocking That’s an amazing year by Tatum! He led all players with 54 KRB! Nice! Use that line! Farley a 2nd All Pro, and I’m happy with that. Special Teams K Mergen – 33 of 39, Long of 47, 60 of 61 Pat Solid year by Mergen – tons of PATS. P Grier – 65 punts, 45.4 avg, 27 in 20 Now a bad year for the rookie 1 PR RET TD by Brandenfeis; two by Wilcox Great!

Defense
As you can see, Stone led my team in tackles again. Shea notched TWENTY-THREE SACKS!!! Holy crap! That’s a lot of sacks. Conyers also crossed into double digits and was 4th most in sacks in the league! Benson notched 9 sacks and got All Pro, which is nice. Good job everyone! We exploded in sacks all over! Pass Coverage Davidson and Hicks each with 6 picks. Good job folks! I am shocked they were not All Pro. They were tied for 2nd most picks in the league and were the most among Ss. How did that not get them an All Pro? Silly! Good stuff!

I end the season and I score a 91
The 2044 NFL Offseason Retirements of Note No one on our team Abe’s Boys WR Brandon Lim – That feels. Hopefully our studly Wr will make the HOF! He retired with 3 rings and four All Pros. That’s it Staff Draft I retain my DC and HC and give them raises. We draft 3r. Any changes? Our AC was hired as a coordinator. I hire Tre'Davious White a 49 year old that loves secondary. I have four players that aren’t RFAs – TE Schultz, DT Henry, DE Malone and OG Nixon A tag for Schultz is 14 mill. No thanks! I am over the cap and we’ll need some fun stuff. Needs Starter – TE, Stud OG only Backup – LB, DBack, DE, DT, OG if no stud taken, TE We don’t need that much so I’ll likely just BAP and hope to cut some contracts. We head to FA!

Oh I forgot to check but QB Tony Rhem made the Hall of Fame with 100% of the vote!
OLB Bruce Norton made it last year!!! Of course his five All Pros, Def Rookie of the Year and 4 Super Bowl victories may have helped!

The 2044 NFL FA Period #1
We are drafting 1.27. Who do I like? I interview a stud FB, some TEs and OGs. I also interview some OTs in case I wanna draft one and move it to OG. I have 42 under contract without signing my RFAs. We have 2 mill over the cap and we need some for rookies and UFAs so we need to clear up some space. Any big names in the final year of their deal I can cut cap space for to extend? In order to extend Van Pelt beyond this year (his last year) we need 4 years and 105 mill dollars. I cannot do that so my QB situation isn’t going budget by embracing Van Pelt. Sad. I cannot commit to him as my salary cap option. I extend Pritchett and his cap hit this year drops to 20 from 42. I hate it! But the cap requires me to I now have 7 mill free for players. I reach out to sign my RFAs DT Nesbit won’t resign due to playing time issues I cannot extend these backups due to cost: TE Lemmon WR Woodard My starters that are in the last year of their deal and what they want… OT Kurt Gillespie – 7th year vet, 4 years, 62 mill, drop in cap by 1 mill this year DT Taylor Benson – 7th year vet, 4 years, 44 mill, drop in cap by 600k WLB Vernon Carpenter – 4th year vet, 17.5 mill, 4 years, increase in cap hit of 1.7 mill FS Morris Davidson – 6th year vet, 3 years, 11 mill, 1.6 mill drop CB Eli Zaiser – 7th year vet, 2 years, 20 mill, 6 mill drop DE Wayne Conyers – 4th year vet, 64 mill, 4 years, 10 mill hit Hmmm… I extend Davidson. I’ll hold off of Zaiser, I’ll let him go at the end of the year. I’ll also not extend Gillespie as I may draft a replacement given his 7th year and no All Pro status. I extend Benson. I was going to cut him for Nesbit now that he’s developed enough as he is a better pass rusher, but that is no longer an option. Carpenter is cheap, which I love, and getting a 64/64 starter for years at that price is very nice, but I suspect I’ll start Butler at WLB once Carpenter leaves barring a replacement in the draft. I have 6.4 mill left but I won’t chase anyone or extend anyone else right now Wait… TE Percy Schultz only wants 18 mill for 4 years. Do I chase him in FA? He wanted 9 mill per year to extend him… I hold off. I am too tight to the cap. Week 7 – Schultz signs with the Bills I’ll see you at the draft!

The 2044 NFL Amateur Draft
Picking at the top spot is Dallas. They take WR Jonah Shepherd. Our pick arrives at 1.27. Who do I like? No TEs have been taken but this is not a very good draft for them. I was targeted FB Carter Flynn, Hard to Read. He’s a gamble, but he looks good with the bars. My hope is that Flynn will be my next TE Derr or Freeman. I am comfortable with this game here as we have a developed team. Anyone else I like? It was a weak O Line draft. OG Mercury Horn – Very overrated OG Don Kirk – Horrible bars, very underrated OT Orlando Kelley – As Scouted – not great bars I grab Flynn. I’ll see you at the 2.28! 2.28 – DE Steven Thornton is the BAP. Do I grab him? How about OG Don Kirk who I scouted? Kirk is raw and needs serious development. I take Kirk. He’s a gamble, but he should be a grower. 3rd round! Who do I like? How about FS Darien Fitzgerald? 4th round – DE Stan Cromwell is the best on the board by a lot and I take him. 5th Round - OC Colby Pollack is undrafted and has fallen. A LOT. I grab him. 6th round – I snag the best LB on the board MLB Cole Albritton. 7th round – CB Maxwell Wyden is the best on the board… bad picks though. No thanks. How about Te Ray Fender, 2nd best on the board and good at snagging the ball. I move Flynn to TE. Rookie Lookie #1 1.27 – TE/FB Carter Flynn, Wisconsin – Platteville, 35/68 2.28 – OG Don Kirk, Wake Forest, 17/64 3.27 – FS Darien Fitzgerald, Oklahoma State, 19/47 4.28 – DE Stan Cromwell, Ohio State, 21/53 5.27 – OC Colby Pollack, Arkansas State, 42/74 6.28 - LB Cole Albritton, Washington, 28/47 7.27 – TE Ray Fender, North Carolina, 18/44 There you go!

The 2044 NFL Preseason
I massage my depth charts and deactive folks. I do start OC Pollack and OG Kirk for the preseason to see what they have. Week 2 – Patriots – We win 30-10 Week 3 – At the Raiders – We win 29-7 Week 4 – Dolphins – We lose 24-34 Week 5 - At the Chiefs – We win 35-13 We finish 3-1 Rookie Lookie #3 1.27 – TE/FB Carter Flynn, Wisconsin – Platteville, 35/68, 40/68; 39/63 2.28 – OG Don Kirk, Wake Forest, 17/64, 24/67; 30/81 3.27 – FS Darien Fitzgerald, Oklahoma State, 19/47, 25/45; 25/53 4.28 – DE Stan Cromwell, Ohio State, 21/53, 26/53; 25/43 5.27 – OC Colby Pollack, Arkansas State, 42/74, 50/73; 51/81 6.28 - LB Cole Albritton, Washington, 28/47, 32/45; 34/55 7.27 – TE Ray Fender, North Carolina, 18/44, 20/42; 19/38 UFAs TE A.J. Lindsay, 20/43, 23/44; 24/50 TE Ivan Kempe, 20/48, 22/46; 22/39 DE Orlando Johnson, 24/51, 28/50; 28/47 DE Tito Franz, 32/51, 35/53; 35/52 CB Maxwell Wyden, 26/54, 31/51; 30/47 CB Colby Lang, 20/44, 23/37; 21/36 Well the random numbers giveth and taketh away! As you can see Kirk boomed like we thought he would which is great! OC Pollack also boomed, good job! Fitzgerald, Albritton also grew, but TE Flynn, DE Cromwell, and TE Fender dropped and most of my UFAs fell with them! I cut these players OG Duane Mota – He has started for me, but his 56/56 body is finally replaced by Kirk years after I tried to find a permanent fixture OC Al Lynch – He’s on a stud contract, he’s never gotten me an All Pro or anything else. I have his replacement as well. That frees up 20 mill on my cap Other cuts TE Ray Fender TE Ivan Kempe Cb Colby Lang

The big one on that list is FS Hicks. He wants 95 mill, 5 years. I do it. Wanna see our rookies? Here’s Flynn. As you can see, he’s not a stud at the run blocking like my others. He is well rounded with few weaknesses and few strengths. I hope he can Derr it up! Here’s the very green Don Kirk. You can see him there needing development. We’ll start him to help with that! I’ve been looking for a stud OG for a while and had a famous Higbee bust previously. He’s solid!

On The Green Page is Kirk.
Rookie Investigation There are four rookies in the league with a potential of 80 or more. We have 2 with Kirk and Pollack! A stud DE was on the board at our pick at 1.27 and went 2.3. He’s 52/81. We also have a 55/85 MLB. This was not a good year for QBing as the best one is at 46 pot. At TE Flynn is the best at 39/63. There is one at 33/61 right behind us. Pollack and Kirk are the best, obviously DE Tito Franz is waaaay down on the DE list at 15. LB Albritton is the 12th best LB from the draft FS Fitzgerald is the 9th best dback and the 6th best S And there we are!

The 2044 Carolina Panthers
Code:
You’ll notice that players like Bonnell have dropped a bit. MLB Gaines dropped from his rookie year last year! Sad. CB Bobo dropped as well. RB Anderson rose to 64/64/.

Stats
Offensive Passing QB Pritchett – 352 of 543, 3737, 33:10, 97.3 rating That was not where he normally is in the yards, but that was a personal best for him in rating, TDs and fewest picks. Rushing RB Bonnell – 362 for 1843, 5.09 ypc, 18 scores He led the league in yards, TDs, and his ypc was 2nd among qualifiers. Good job! Receiving Here you can see Wilcox is back to getting around 1200 yards on the season. He has a better connection with Pritchett than Van Pelt. Bonnell was down with just 350 yards. Flynn was fine in his debut year. Blocking I know he got an All Pro, but Tatum needs to do better with that many KROs. Kirk and Pollack were fine in their debut years. Special Teams K Mergen – 29 of 31, Long of 49, 53 of 59 PAT That was fine until the PAT line. P Grier – 91 punts, 45.6 avg, 32 in 20 Not bad. Not great Brandenfeis clocked in THREE PR RET TDs.Nasty!

Defense
Gaines led my team in tackles this year, and you can see he grabbed 4.5 sacks as well. Good job. Shea with another 20+ sack year and this time Benson cracked double digits! Conyers gave me another 7.5 sacks, down from last year and he’s heading out to FA. De Young didn’t come on like we needed, but Shea was quiet until year three last year as well. Pass Coverage Gaines got a ton of picks and led my team in picks and had 3rd most pasdef t 14. He also led the league in picks. Stone’s 5 was solid and Hicks and Boucvalt also got 4 each with Hicks’ leading my pasdef. Good job!

It’s time
We took over the Panthers after they finished 0-16. Now they were 19-0. That symmetry is too perfect to mess with. Here is my record with the Panthers 2038 – 3-13 2039 – 6-10 2040 – 12-4, Lost Week 2 in Playoffs 2041 -10-6 – Lost Week 2 in Playoffs 2042 – 13-3 – Won Super Bowl 2043 – 14-2 – Lost Week 2 in Playoffs 2044 – 16-0 – Won Super Bowl Seven years and two bowls! Who do I want next? How about the 5-10-1 Bucs? Same division as the Panthers, but they won’t come in with the top pick. There is one 3-13 team and one 5-11s so they’ll draft 3rd or 4th as another team had the same record…

I end the season – I score a 97
The 2045 NFL Offseason Hall of Fame RB Preston Fones – Was a stud for me with the Dolphins, got a 2k yard season, was a great guy! Retirements of Note QB BJ Vance – Played with Fones over at the Dolphins. Just two rings and tons of awards. TE Wyatt Freeman – Another played from my Dolphins dynasty. Never won an All Pro. WR Marshall Collier- A solid WR I drafted at the Dolphins and then let go and signed with the Panthers. LB Louis Hartman – Drafted by Miami and with us for a few years as a starter with the Panthers I swap to the Bucs They have the 3rd largest losing record and no Super Bowl since 2018.

Staff Draft
We draft 30th. Yuck! Our Head Coach is Ty Cassidy, with a solid set of stats, 64 years old and helps the TEs. Our pick arrives and I swap to Ryan Smith, 52 years old, works well with the secondary. He was the better HC by quite a bit Our OC is Jackie McGee who is with the spread offense. The top is a guy with the West Coast offensive. I grab the top balanced offensive coach on the board - Devan Hunziker, 52, strong with QBs, but he’s weak at player d. At defense our DC is Thomas McGaughey who is 72 years old and likes the True 3-4. I hire my Panthers AC who is the best on the board - Tre'Davious White, also a True 3-4. My AC is Curtis Crompton and I keep him. I also keep our SC Neil Raglin We are 30 million over the cap! Any Abe’s Boys I want to franchise? Nope! I’ll see you at the FA'ing!

The 2045 NFL Amateur Draft
My goal is that the As Scouted RB stud is on the board at 1.4 I can take and build around. I’d love to build around Van Pelt and see if I can get him to the playoffs again as an undrafted QB. My one regret with the Panthers wasn’t getting him a ring as the starter two years ago. If I could get Zachery Weaver at 1.4 I’d be pretty happy. But I doubt it’ll happen. Let’s look… At the 1.1 spot is the Packers. They take… QB Edgar Goodlink. Good. Two picks left… 1.2 – RB Zachary Weaver. Blast it! 1.3 – QB Nate Buie Who do I like now? TE Howie Rodriguez – Underrated – Top Player on the Board CB Alan Lang – Underrated, absolute stud RB Riddick Lang – Overrated – not as good bars WR Trey Walkley – Hard to Read ,pretty good WR Kris Malone – Very Underrated – pretty good but weak at avoid drops and 3rd down catching I’m leaning towards Walkley or Malone. Netting a strong WR may not be that needed. Kirk Barber was taken early and was one of the best but he never played up to it. Lim was early and did play up to it. Wilcox wasn’t as good as either and was a 2nd rounder, but he still played to it. I don’t think I need to waste a 1.4 on WR based on my Panthers performance. But I do need to come away with a solid WR, and I think either would do. So which one? Better bars or very underrated? Here’s Walkley. As you can see he’s great everywhere save for big play and adjust where he’s strong. And here is Malone. As you can see, he’s not good with two things and worse in others, but very underrated vs Hard to Read is an interesting choice. Who would you go with? I'll see you later! I'll sleep on it... This is a classic case of Shower vs Grower.

Let’s pause.
What would the Panthers want for Davidson? He’s a fan favorite so nothing he’s not available. How about Benson? Not even a 4th rounder. Too high. How about OT Miles Cote? Not even a 2nd! Not even a 2ndf for 3rd string RB Steven Hawkins. Ah well. A good reason for Malone that I missed is that he’s also good at returning and can be my Brandenfeis in that role. Who am I taking? Walkley. He looks good. He’s a gamble which I don’t like in my first year. But I think he’s fine even if he drops a bit. Alright I’ll see you at the 2.3 spot! I accidentally hit the Staff Draft button and then I accidentally hit the save button instead of the load button (they are next to each other) and that saved over my draft. I don’t save scum so I only had one save for the offseason… I’d have to restart the offseason…. That’s another big punch in the stomach this dynasty had had.

I play it again! I’ll keep the old stuff as a relic for consideration
These changes… Staff Draft – my HC change is the same, my OC is not on the board and the best balanced is worse than our guy so I take a different Offseason dork - Winston Logan, West Coast Offense, 64 years old. Same DC. In FA I am chasing these players as well – WR Marco Brandenfeis, whom we sign. We keep our targets although I had to play more defense and some are on more expensive deals (Lynch)

The 2045 NFL Amateur Draft Take 2
The packers take at 1.1 QB Demetrius Potter 1.2– Cb – good 1.3 – QB – good That leaves me with the best Rb on the board, Hard to Read Cesar Lemoine. He’s not nearly as good the top Rb in the previous draft though. The next RB, Silas Kanou, is better at power inside and breakaway but is also Hard to Read. There aren’t even any stud OTs for me to slide into. I take Lemoine and hope he turns out okay. I’ll see you in 31. 2.3 – I like OT DeAndre Hymes. DE Efrain Echols is nasty! WLB Thurman Roupenian? Hymes. 3.4 - Wade Pederson TE? I also like DE Mitch Densmore. FS Alec Spradling? Let’s do Densmore. 4.3 – OG Johnnie Peterman? 5.4 - DT Alexis Drew? 6.3 – DE J.J. Henson? - BAP 7.4 – SLB Zack Newman? Rookie Lookie #1 1.4 – RB Cesar Lemoine, Harvard, 53/73 2.3 – OT DeAndre Hymes, Cincinnati, 32/67 3.4 – DE Mitch Densmore, Georgia Tech, 27/64 4.3 – OG Johnnie Peterman, Prairie View A&M, 30/47 5.4 – DT Alexis Drew, North Carolina, 32/59 6.3 – DE JJ Henson, Nebraska, 21/65 7.4 – SLB Zack Newman, Minnesota, 17/61 Dallas is moving to Greenville SC

Wanna see my rookies?
Okay! Here’s my top pick, Cesar Lemoine! He’s okay. I’ll try to ride him like I have Fones and Bonnell. He’s not great inside, but he’s solid at breaking away and he’s well rounded in a lot of places with no major weaknesses. I’ll skip my 2nd round bust-ish OT and give you my biggest boom OG Peterman Here you go! He’s a solid player with good run and pass blocking.

On The Green Page we have Lemoine and DT Drew.
Rookie Investigation At RB, Lemoine was the best in the league. The other guy I was looking at finished at 52/62. It sucks I had to spend a 1.4 for it, but we got it. After booming, Peterman is the 2nd best OG Despite busting, OT Hymes was 3rd best. This was a deep D Line draft with 3 80s, 4 70s,and 11 60s in the draft! We got the DT and DE that are in the 60s. This was a weak LB draft across all ILBs and Slbs, there are only 4 players with a 50 or more pot. One of those was UFA Wiley, 4th best

The 2045 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Code:
Van Pelt dropped from 53 to 45 so my idea of building around him won’t hold up any longer.
