NBA2K12 is just $9.99 and makes a nice visual compliment to FBCB. Especially when I discovered (belated) that you can use an XBOX controller with a PC. The mods out there make it a nice treat for that price.

Should stay away from Steam during sales. I picked up the "Theater of War" bundle for $12.49 in the Flash Sale. No idea when I'll have to play Oh, well flash deal ended and now back to $24.99 regular price $49.99.

Theater of War
Theater of War 2 Battle for Caen
Theater of War 2 Africa 1943
Theater of War 2 Centauro
Theater of War 2 Kursk 1943
Theater of War 3 Korea

Not sure if I'll have to contact Steam or if its a "getting hammered" issue but Caen, and Centauro haven't shown up in my library.

Caen and Centauro are DLC so they won't show up on your games list. You can check to see that they're there by right clicking on Theater of War 2 and viewing the DLC you have for it.

Thanks. Don't think I would have thought of that. Yep, both there

Does anybody have an experience with Killing Floor?

I'm thinking about going:
Hitman: Blood Money
Trine 2
Mount and Blade: Warband

Debating:
Saints Row 3 (For some reason I cant pull the trigger on this game)
Killing Floor
Microsoft Flight Pack

Very cool game, its all Multiplayer. You and a group of guys try and kill hordes of creatures. You go through i think 5 rounds, upgrading weapons along the way and then you have to face the boss at the end who is really hard, i've only beat him a couple times. But it takes a lot of team work. I'd get it if you enjoy online coop or horror games.

how are the mods for nba2k12 on the PC? rosters and such?

I've wanted to pick it up for some platform for a bit, but have held off cuz of the price. That price is ridiculous though.

I haven't gotten in to them. Just used the built in rosters. It also has a ton of historical teams I had some fun with.

Agreed. I'm not even really a basketball fan and I played it a ton. The My Player mode is great fun. I wish Madden or NCAA treated their "superstar" or whatever modes the same way.

The $100 I put in my steam wallet won't be enough. Almost $90 spent so far and we aren't even halfway home. Not sure whether to be excited or cry.

Walking Dead has been very fun. Each episode plays about two hours. I knocked out each one (there are two ATM) in a evening or two.

Mods are absolutely, positively worth it for the PC.

NLSC • Downloads

I was on this site last night and managed to download a few all-on-in mods that enabled me to play with current (as of a day or two ago) rosters, updated jerseys and uniforms and tons of unlocks. It's all pretty simple to install (especially for text sim dorks who are used to mods) and so yeah. Absolutely worth it.

Anyone wanting to replace the Thunder with the Sonics in association mode, you'll need to use the unlocked settings mod (or earn the 96-97 Sonics the hard way) and then use them to replace the Thunder. Before you do, you should replace the Thunder roster with scrubs, put their entire team into FA and then you can clear out your Sonics roster however you choose, pick up those FAs and can play with them should you choose to.

Just figured I'd save possibly someone a bit of time.

Glad I picked up Toy Soldiers on sale. It's a fun tower defense game with some twists.

Don't buy the original Mount and Blade. Warband is basically the same as the original Mount and Blade but with multiplayer and a few new features.

Just figured I'd save possibly someone a bit of time.

Back when 2K12 was released someone created a spreadsheet for the purpose of having an "expansion draft" to fit the Sonics back in. Basically the guy went through and selected 8 or 9 guys that each team would realistically hold on to, the rest you could draft for your Sonics squad. I played through a few seasons myself, was lots of fun.

Walking Dead Question: How often does the game go into first person mode for any kind of movement/action?

I get pretty bad motion sickness with some games, I can't play any first person shooters, ever. The opening of Skyrim is in first person and should take what, 20 minutes? I had to leave it and come back to it for ~2 hours to get past that intro to when it would let me go into 3rd person. Even games like Grand Theft Auto will fuck me up if I don't take ginger capsules (if I do I can play GTA forever). The video review on IGN doesn't really make it clear but seems to show a scene here or there with some first person action.

Any guesses on whether I'll be able to get through this game?

I'm usually pretty resistant to these sales, I tend to stick to one or two games for a good long while, but I'm looking for something new and went a bit nuts, so far:

Shogun 2 (Total War)
Binding of Isaac
Monkey Island Bundle
Mount & Blade Bundle
Tropico 4 Bundle
Bastion
Vessel

wheeeee. Not really that much $$ (4 of those $3.50 or less), as long as I end up playing them all.

Went with the deal they had on Pro Cycling Manager 2012 the other day (seems better than a previous version that I had).

Today I couldn't pass up the Flash deals:

Monkey Island: Special Edition Bundle $3.74
Arcania & Gothic Pack $12.49

Just over 16 dollars for basically 7 games; can't really go wrong there.

As i'm into city and empire builders again thanks to Camelot battle for the North in the Ipad, I'm thinking about picking up Cities XL 2012 and Tropico 4.

Is Cities too buggy or playable enough?

What about Civ5 game of the year? I have yet to purchase it after the bad reviews when it was released, but i guess it became better after all the patches and dlcs.

Damn, too much games available in steam.
