I don't really agree with this. I think it is better to spread out our work until we know how much damage can be done.

Ugh.

It's 4:50 and I have NO idea who I'll be casting a vote for tonight. It really doesn't feel like we're any further along than we were this morning.

Anyone care for a discussion????

Not spreading out the work gives fewer targets for sabotage.
Spreading out the work gives fewer opportunities for demons to fake work without sticking out like a sore thumb.

I'm going to work on the artwork again today. I've got some lovely gold statues to finish.

WORK ON ARTWORK

Any patterns that stick out about the vote?

Anybody that intentionally created ties later in the voting?

I didn't move my vote after DT's reveal, but I didn't see an actual reveal until it was much too late to do anything, and there were several others who simply felt that it wasn't likely to accomplish much if we shifted (although there is the possibility for a bodyguard role, which could have kept him alive...).

How will knowing how much damage can be done help?

I think it's moot at this point anyway. We've got the wall completed, and if we plan to finish all 5 parts, the Demons can just go after the wall, regardless of what we do.

I don't think one night of votes is enough to distinguish a pattern, and I don't remember any ties, I'd have to go back and check though to be sure on that one. The only thing that I remember from yesterday's vote is RendeR voting at the last minute, which could mean that he's a wolf, or it could just mean that he was busy yesterday.

Hoops has been kinda quiet so far, and he's always a wolf, isn't he?

I think that information is key.

If their attack whittles us down by a significant amount, say 5 units, we are better off pecking away a few at at time and being able to finish all at once as opposed to finishing one a day.

From peering into the records of days past, I see that in the 243rd entry that the Moneylender tied the count of votes by placing his upon the Novice. The truly decisive vote would be that of our Knight, on the 252nd entry, whose boldness proved to be in the wrong, and led to the demise of the gifted innocent.

I am not placing blame, good Ser Knight. I am merely pointing out what has been recorded.

Perhaps we should then question the reason why those who were present at the unfortunate reveal of the gifted one were fortunate enough to have listened to his plight, and yet refused, or ignored his claim, choosing to reward his honesty with death?

Well...since we know Lathum is the Knight and I'm the Page, and part of his "super power" is that he can order me to do things. And since I know I'm a villager, doesn't that also make him a villager?

Question for Barkeep...can a wolf/demon have a power that can be wielded over a villager?

Might I point out the Bible once again, a passage has intrigued me.

Quote:
Azazel – Brutal wolf. If lynched he will be able to kill another player. If killed at night he will kill the player attacking him before he dies.

Doth this passage mean to say that there is one who has the ability, nay, the bravery to attempt and slay demons at night? I pray that this is so, and that the good Lord may guide him to strike fear upon the hearts of the demon hoarde!

I already pointed out why I didn't switch but I will do it again.

the obvious ploy of a wolf would be to say you are the seer if you are on the block. You can either force the real seer to reveal or save your own ass. And if the person is the real seer they are a goner anyway. I think the better play is take the 1/16 chance you actually were unfortunate enough to hit the seer as opposed to the 1/4 chance of hitting a demon who is lying about being the seer

Wouldn't really matter if he were a demon or not Oli, the "power" is more or less the fat that you are his employe/serf/servant and if he orders you to do something, you as a loyal servant, so do.

He could well be a demon, then again, so could yo. it wouldn't have any bearing on that specific ability.

Sounds like it, but he's still a wolf...which means it's going to be a challenge to figure out who he is. I'm guessing it's someone who has been kind of quiet, as lynching him would basically mean the villagers got 2 wolves instead of one.

Oh Page, I was merely making an observation that this demon-spawn can be killed at night. It means that there might be a brave sould who can slay demons.

I know, but if him having power over me, who I know is a villager, ensures that he is also a villager then we (or at least I) have the beginning of a CoT.

Unless BK comes round and says he couldn't if he were a demon then I think we have to go on the assumption that he could be evil, better the safe move than the blind folly of faith.

Nobody "needs to" cast a vote (especially where Barkeep has already indicated that a lynching occurs every day under every circumstance), but failing to cast a vote gives greater weight to the people who have voted, and also raises some suspicion that your point in not casting a vote is to try to avoid leaving a vote trail that calls attention to yourself.

So yer saying that if I avoid voting, to avoid leaving a voting trail back to myself, then I've actually just led everyone right to my...self?

Understood. But, as some have pointed out, its not going to be easy to build the cathedral. To do so we'll have to take some risks.

Perhaps. I mentioned this on the first day but here's how I did things. I put powers to roles. I then used Random.org for which roles would become angels/demons. Certain roles could not become an angel or a demon (I simply went to the next randomly generated #). Other roles, upon becoming an angel or demon, had their powers reduced.

This peon is on the way to Spamalot and will not be around until late, so needs to make a vote.

Problem is who to vote for. I was looking at Alan earlier, but I don't think he'd come out as aggressively as a demon, so for now am considering him a mistaken Liege. I don't really have another good target, just a guess, so that will be my vote.

VOTE SCHMIDTY

Path, if you are just taking a shot why not do more work on the cathedral instead?
