This time the Pass is opening the running game. Taking the time off the clock and getting a TD here would be huge

This is the natural reaction to the broncos game plan post Tebow . The book was to stop the run and the short pass and keep tebow in front of you.

When it was 6-0 Pittsburgh, this game looked like a dud..the Steelers would slowly build a lead and we'd be wondering half way through the fourth how the hell did it get to be 34-0. Now....wow. The Steelers, even after several big plays, are still not playing receivers right down the field. And Tebow is hitting his players. Amazing.

I thought leading with the helmet was a no-no in any situation?

The Steelers prepared for the Tebow of the last two weeks. The one who was scared to throw the ball, tentative and scared.

The Steelers ended up getting the Tebow from the Chargers, Vikings, Bears and even the Pats game. That Tebow may not be great, but he can throw the ball down the field and doesn't make stupid mistakes.

Now they have to adjust. That's going to mean more rushing yards for Denver, but less big plays. I still don't think Tebow can move the ball down the field with a bunch of short passes. That's what the Steelers need to do now.

Only if the receiver was considered defenseless (hadn't established possession).

Still some points and not too much time for Pitt. Would have have been great if Thomas made the easy catch there

Denver scored 24 points in the 11 quarters leading up to this quarter. 20 points. Wow.

If they want to protect QBs, fine...but we're reaching NHL levels of inconsistency.

Watch the Roethlisberger interception...hit about the same length after the pass, and high.

You can't count Big Ben and the Steelers out as of yet, they never scored less than 20 points in a playoffs game since his arrival.

Oh hell no. This game isn't over at all. Denver will go ultra conservative. Pitt has plenty of weapons at WR and Ben is as clutch as they come. This thing isn't even close to over yet.

Yep, Pitt could still easily win. Big opening drive for Denver as if they could put up some points and take some time off the clock would be huge for second half momentum

They just had a local commercial here in Denver for a sports bar. They showed people wearing Broncos jersies watching the game. There was an Ashley Lelie jersey on one of the patrons. I haven't heard that name in a long, long time.

I don't get why Pittsburgh isn't keeping the pass plays in front of them. If you make Tebow have to work his way down the field, you'll win. They just seem to be playing a defense where they think Tebow can't throw the ball at all.

Even if they don't get points. Get a first down or two. Set it up for the punter (who should have made the pro bowl) to pin Pitt deep. Don't run 1, 2, 3 and punt from the 20. That would set the Steelers up big.

Some of ya'll are some flip flopping mothers. Stick to your original BS; have some dignity.

20 points probably won't be enough. Pitt loaded the box, and on the play actions Tebow was allowed to get outside the perimeter. KC last week went straight up the hashmarks and landed in Tebows lap. The perimeter isn't being guarded. Focus was in the A and B gaps.

BTW, as good as McGahee's been this year, the Broncos would probably be much better with a younger, more talented RB back there.

Didn't like the call, desperately need a better running back to spell Willis, a decent drive by Denver to open up the second half.

If Denver wins the challenge converts this into a TD and its looking dire for the Steelers. I'm completely at a loss for words as far as what I am witnessing. Pittsburgh usually plays the exact opposite of what they are today. Roethlisberger looks like a QB that will get worse quickly when he gets older because his mobility is half his game. Once he loses that he becomes very pedestrian.

Wait, wasn't there a turnover in one of the other playoff games that was picked up after the whistle blew?
