+5 points for the lynching votes (in other words if the final votes is 8-3, the 4th vote cast is considered the lynching vote)
+1 point for all other votes

If a person who is executed is a Noble:
-2 points for the first vote cast (-2.5 if the person was a member of your faction)
-3.5 points for the lynching vote (-4 if the person was a member of your faction)
-.5 points to each player of that faction who voted to execute

Other:
+.5 points for any person voting to Jail the opposing Noble leader
+.5 points for any person voting to execute an assassin who does not receive the most votes
+.5 points for any person voting to free a member of his faction from jail
+1.5 point for the first person to vote to send an assassin to jail

We have 5 non-Mr. Wednesday votes, and the point totals are at -2.5 of expected before factoring them in. If they're all votes for villagers (this is hugely significant, I think), then we're square if each vote has a -.5 penalty.

So it seems that RPI-Fan, Coffee Warlord, Schmidty and McSweeney are all villagers.

It also seems that Assassins are considered part of a faction in terms of points earned, to help them remain hidden.

Based upon what I've deduced this far (I'm currently analyzing this as I type it up, so this could change), I think McSweeney is a Noble. Which means everyone here should get a penalty for voting for him. If that's the case, it's either -2.5, or -1.5 (if he's a faction leader). If he's an assassin, we get +2.5. The jury is still out here.

Since we're at -6.5 after analyzing the votes on Blade, that means we need +4 from the remaining votes. There is no penalty for voting for a villager to be executed or jailed, if they are not actually executed or jailed. Similarly, the points for voting to jail an assassin are not in effect unless that occurs.

You do, however, get points for voting to jail an opposing Noble Leader, or voting to execute an Assassin, even if that person does not recieve the most votes.

Sorry for the lack of clarity about that in the rules. They have now been modified.

Well, this is going to change a lot of the information I put up there. I'm off to work now, so I'll have to do it tonight (barring me being dead, of course).

Initial reaction to the modification: assassins do not accrue points. Not sure off the top of my head, but it seems that this would remove Schmidty, McSweeney, RPI and Coffee Warlord from the 'definitely noble' list, since it appears that all five of the non-Mr. Wednesday votes could not have given us -.5 points if they were nobles.

Actually, Vince laid it out pretty well. I have my suspicions, but they are more about who is in what faction (noble). This is based on people coming right out and defending other people without much logic behind their reasoning.

I know no one will believe this, but I don't have time right now as I am cooking food for a potluck that my wife has at work tommorrow (fresh salsa, cheesy potatoes, and apple pie squares), while also making our own dinner (chicken and bacon sautee). king, this is your post #420. I think that only applies when the person executed is a noble. So it doesn't count anything for tonight.

So am I interpreting Barkeep's new statement right?

It seems like Vince nailed the +12.5 change on the head. Therefore, the only other way to gain or lose points in that 2nd set is:
