Individual Stats:
QB Claude Gray, 3552 yards, 61%, 31:16 ratio, 95.2 QB Rating. This is with a game where he threw 5 picks and no TDs. I guess everyone has a bad game now and then. He had 4th highest QB rating in league, 2nd most TD passes, 9th most passing yards. RB Ralph Barrett, 1230 rushing yards, 8 TD, 3.8 ypc, 446 receiving yards, 4 TD, 35 grabs WR Tyrone Garner, 891 yards, 7 TD, 61 grabs WR Barry Warren, 889 yards, 60 grabs, 9 TD - virtually the same stat line. TE Ramirez had a strong 516 yards, 4 TD, on 44 catches. It’s a shame that Ramirez and Warren are patches. I had a guy with over 3500 yards and not a single 1000 yard receiving on the team. Wiggins, the #4 WR had 4 scores, Howe had 2 and 400 yards, even the #3 RB had a score. Rexin had 5th highest KR among qualifiers and a KR TD. Urlacher had a PR TD. Rexin only fumbled the ball away twice on special teams and had the Punt block fumble recovery for a score. Orozco had 33 of 86 in the 20, and his average dropped to 9th. Johnson was 27 of 35 with a long of 52 DE Jackie Greene led the team with 10 sacks and 7 hurries. DE Perry was 3rd in the league with 10 hurries and had 9 sacks. LB Perry had 5 sacks on 11 starts. LB Roosevelt McWilliams led the team in tackles with 91 solos, and he had 2 sacks. S Rexin led the team with 5 picks, McGown and Cline each had 4. Rexin had 710 pasdef, and LB Sutton had 9 in12 starts, while McGowan led the team with 10, Rebensdorf had 3. C Tate was tied for 6th most KRB of all players in the league with 35, just 2 sacks allowed OG Ike Logan had 28 KRB and 6 sacks allowed OT Charles Dodge had 25 and allowed 4. OT Becker was 18 and 8. FB Zach Taylor was 11 out of 31. OG Ernest Moss had 10 starts, 11 of 20 and allowed just one sack

Team Awards:
Offensive Player of the Year: QB Claude Gray - He had a really great year! It’s nice to have a good QB behind the helm. Dial out that one game with 5 picks, and he might have been All Pro material. Defensive Player of the Year: CB Rufus McGowan - With a solid number of picks and a team leading pasdef, McGowan had a solid year when my sacksters and tackle makers were not up to snuff. Special Teams Player of the Year: S Tyrone Rexin - My kickers had down years, but he got me two Tds on special teams, so good job Rexin! Rookie of the Year: OG Ike Logan - Second most KRB on team, 6 sacks allowed is low for a rookie OG. Looks like my first round pick was not wasted. Heart Award: FB Zach Taylor - Despite being a 2nd round pick, he came out of camp busted and with lowered expectations. In a year in which my rushers had career low ypcs, he had 6. 1 ypc. A rushing score. A fumble recovery for a score. 11 of 31 KRB. A very respectable season And there we are.

I have 41 players under contract. Do I franchise someone?
I choose not to. Here we go… I trade CB Jimmie Rebensdorf to the Bengls for their 1/35 and 3/35 picks. Jimmie is one of my guys, but in the past two years, he’s had 4 picks. I have no loyalty to a guy who cannot perform. I extend S Tyrone Rexin for another two years. The Cards offered me their 3rd, 21 for DT Ben Corgan, so I take it. The Dolphins offered me 4/7 for OG Brock Timlin, which I also take. I got an offer of a 3rd rounder for FB Zach Tayler which I am not taking. It is time to unload a couple of high priced players who have left their prime behind. I trade OT Tim Becker to Austin for their 1/20 pick. Becker was All pro for me for two years before he’s had underwhelming years. Another underwhelming FA is the 10th year veteran DE Dennis Perry. I shop him and I have GMs all over the map interested. He is drawing a lot of interest. What can I get for him? I trade him to New Orleans for their 1/36 pick. I sign C Jesse Tate for 3 years. I trade C Ray Hampton to the Pats for their 4/19 pick. I trade DE Vinny Weiss to the Colts for their 3rd rounder next year I extend QB Claude Gray’s contract by a year

I make an offer to UFA TE Ed Gardener. I do not bid on S Eric Carlson.
Week 8 - Gardener signs with Albuquerque for a lot less money, Week 17 - We sign RFA CB Rufus McGowan to a 4 year deal. Starters I need: TE, WR, OG Perhaps, FB perhaps, OT, DE, DT maybe, CB Backups: QB, TE, OG, OG?, OTx2, DEx2, DT if not star, LB, CB

QB Claude Gray - Yup RB Ralph Barrett - Yup FB Zach Taylor - Increasing his role in the offense a bit WR Tyrone Garner - Solid WR Danny Parrish - Let’s start the rookie and see what he can do. TE Floyd Ramsey - Despite a bit of a bust, he’s still the best current TE I Have. 2 rooks C Jesse Tate - Strong, but getting paid a lot of money now. OG Ike Logan - Returning from last year where he was solid. OG Andre Dreyfuss - Another high potential rookie starting. OT Charles Dodge - A FA pickup from before who we will need to rely on with a green O Line OT Kurt Hackney - Another rookie starting P Dwayne Orozco - Great! K Claude Johnson - Great! DE Jermaine Bates - About as good as we can get. Another rookie starter. DE Jackie Greene - 3rd year player coming off All Pro season. LB Dexter Sutton - FA guy who I like despite age and loss of stats. LB Lenny Perry - Another returner on our LB corps LB Roosevelt McWilliams - Returning as our WLB CB Rufus McGowan - I LOVE him much! CB Jessie Pirtle - Not that great but will start anyway S Tyrone Rexin - Another FA pickup I love S Jackie Cline - Adequate until I can get a real starter. 2021 NFC Playoffs:
We are a wild card team heading to Carolina. We crush Carolina 24-3. Barrett had a 76 yard run for a score. Parrish caught a TD from Claude Gray. Lionel Hinton is GAME MVP With a pick returned 71 yard for a score Barrett had 116 on 15 carries before he tore his calf muscle, is out for the season, and the abilities dropped a bit. Pender will start for us the rest of the season. CB Nickelback Jefferson had 2 picks. The Skins defeated the Saints 18-7

Divisonal Weekend:
We travel to Arizona to hit up the 12-4 Cardinals and the #2 seed. We take out the Cardinals 24-10. Grady Pender is Game MVP with 2 run scores, 198 yards on 33 carries. Pirtle had a pick and Greene notched two sacks. Logan and Dodge had 4 KRB. C Tate is doubtful and likely will not start for the rest of the playoffs. The Skins defeated Minnesota 27-18. Interesting thing, we are the #5 seed, and the Skins are the #6 seed, so we will be hosting the NFC Championship, where the away team has won every game so far.

NFC Championship:
The 10-6 Richmond Rattlesnakes , with a wild card berth and the 5 seed host the 10-6 Washington Redskins, with the #6 seed. (BTW, last week QB Tony Clements threw 6 Tds and guided the Rail Runners to the AFC Championship) I would love to play the 15-1 Albuquerque Rail Runners in the Super Bowl. We crush the Redskins 37-7. Claude Gray was Game MVP with Tds to Pender and Parrish, 14 of 22 for 229, 2:0. Garner had 119 yards on 7 catches. LB Perry had 2 sacks, Bates added 1.5. McGowan and Rexin each had picks. Oh, and Albuquerque won as well.

The 2021 NFL Super Bowl:
The #1 seed 15-1 Albuquerque Rail Runners face The #5 seed 10-6 Richmond Rattlesnakes Billed as the battle of my teams. My old dynasty versus my new dynasty. We have several players in unfortunate condition. Claude Gray was knocked to questionable. WR Danny Parrish is questionable. These folks will be playing. Everybody has money on the Rail Runners. Let’s see what we can do about that. We lost 20-26. When Gray tossed a pick in OT it gets returned by the Rail Runners for a score and the end of the game. Hey, at least we took it to OT> We were ahead by 7 when they had a 97 yard PR with 2:06 left, so that sucks. Pender had our two TD runs Grey threw 3 picks but we got three picks too. Cline had 2 and Rexin had 1. Greene had 1.5 scks

Offensive Player of the Year: WR Tyrone Garner, with the 1st 1000+ yard season of his career, Garner gets my nod for OPotY. Good job! Defensive Player of the Year: LB Lenny Perry - 2nd on the team in solo tackles, grabbed 3.5 sacks, had great pasdef, he did a lot for me and I respect that. Thanks Lenny! Special Teams Player of the Year: P Orozco - He had a solid and productive year. Rookie of the Year: We had 6 starters with rookieness. Which one was the best? DE Bates led the team in sacks, CB Pirtle was 2nd in picks, WR Parrish led the team with 10 receiving TD, OT Hackney was 2nd in KRB and OG Dreyfuss was 3rd without the glaring hole in pass blocking. I’m going with DE Jermaine Bates who gave us a pulse in the rushing the passer game. Good job! Heart Award: DE Pat England - This lousy UFA DE who will leave us at the end of the year, was 2nd on the team with 5.5 sacks despite never starting a game. That is exactly the sort of performance that the Heart Award was created to reward and acknowledge.

We have some decisions to make next year that may piss off my fan base.
Score: Performance: 95 Value: 53 Profit: 9 Difficulty: 70 Total Score - 50 YAYAYAY The first player to have been drafted by me has made the Hall of Fame: 2022 Inductees: WR Marvin Graham!!! (But no Jerome Allard) DE Phil Lee WR Gene Walsh WR Marvin Graham - Got in with 90% of the vote, 5th highest among recent inductees. Attended Nevada, 15 years in the pros, 218 starts, 1149 catches for 16133 yards, 108 Tds, 8 All League honors Yay! Other major players in the Hall of Fame that had extended stints on my teams include DE Phil Lee, LB Ray Lewis, K Olindo Mare, CB Sam Madison, CB Samari Rolle, S Donovin Darius. DT Ross Meadows retired this year. Wow. Disappointing. Maybe he’ll be an inductee in a couple of years?

During my team in the league, the team, other than an expansion team, with the worst record is the San Diego Chargers at 130-220-2
Second is the Browns at 134-216-2, but the Browns won a Super Bowl during the past 20 years. Richmond Franchise Review: 10th most valuable franchise 7th worst stadium THE best roster 15th best support 6th best economy There are 45 players under contract and none are even UFAs. I had no patches and I resigned all of my good players.

I’m bored with Richmond. I don’t connect with many of the players.
Ideally, I’d like to hop to a team with a lousy roster, and a stadium contract I ca get out of, allowing me to relocate. Who wants me? Kansas City Tampa Bay Cleveland Corpus Christi Austin And that’s it. According to the league, the Bucs have the 4th best roster in the biz, Chiefs 12th worst, Austin 11th worst, 17th worst for Corpus Christi, but the Browns? Worst roster in the league. Tempting. Bad stadium too…. Perfect! I hop to the Cleveland Browns.

We have just 22 players under contract and are over the cap. Ick.
One of the players is a CB I drafted a long time ago - Clifton Murphy. Hello old friend. There are no players worthy of franchise tag consideration. We have the 20th pick in each round. Franchise: 2nd lowest value in NFL 6th worst stadium Worst roster 7th worst support 18th worst economy 2nd lowest attendance by percentage last year (59%) I submit a proposal to move the Browns to Huntington, WV Wish me luck! 23.6 million under the cap. We need to begin to trim the fat.

I trade our 5th and QB Emmanuel Holliday to the Ravens for their 1/31 pick. Holiday is a backup veteran with solid experience, but no starter quality so I am happy to move him in the final year of his deal, with a price tag of over 30 million.
I extend FB Dexter Henson’s contract by two years. He is one of the few good starters on the roster. He’s older, in his 12th year, but I’ll be keeping him for now. I cut DE Sammy Myers. No GM was interested in a trade with the 14 million guy. I trade RB Al Feeney to the Giants for their 4th rounder. I cut DE Jesse Cabbage I extend WR Sammie Robertson by two more years. Another aging vet but solid. I cut OG Howard Booker and TE Trent Mazurek I am now 91 million under the cap with 16 players under contract.

Needs:
QB - I have a decent older starter in his final year. I would love a franchise QB. Starters: QB stud, RB, TE, WR, OTx2, OGx2, C, K, P, DE, DT, Sx2 Let’s go shopping. I make offers to: K Charles Rasmussen P Leo Rayburn S Eric Carlson - An old friend! OT JJ Boddy OG Junior Peters Week 3 brings JJ Boddy and Leo Rayburn to our team but Eric Carlson signs with the Saints. Week 6 - Junior Peters comes to us. Week 8 - Rasmussen signs with us. Our kickers are young and good. Boddy is young and okay. Peters is older and patches for a few seasons. I am 70 under the cap. I make an offer to S Junior Burke, another old draftee of mine. Week 10 - He signs with the Colts Week 17 Rolls around and I take a looksee. I sign some green veterans with starter potential. OT Raymond Velasquez - 4 year deal DT Irving Enbysk - 3 year deal S Aaron Harrell - 2 year deal - older patch for two years All three sign. I have 22 players heading into the draft

The NFL 2022 Amateur Draft
I have put myself in a position to pretty much BAP the entire draft. Except for LB and CB and FB and P/K, I have a need for a starter at every position, although the need at DT and OT is not great. Here we go. Our first pick of the round is up. I hope I can get a good starter. Let’s see. There is a great LB on the board…. A starter caliber DE. Adequate OG for this spot. A great WR but with poor 3rd down catching, but solid to great elsewhere. There’s also a solid CB. There is an adequate RB. Screw it. My starter LB aren’t that good anyway. Draft Recap: 1/20 LB Damon Alexander, Buffalo 1/31 DE Tito Washington, Maryland 2 RB Calvin Garrison, Vanderbilt 3 TE Ronnie Meadows - Stanford 4/18 C Nick Lemay - Washington State 4/20 WR Kendrick Grimshaw - Hawaii - Great returner with high carrying and returning skills. 6 QB Norman Westbrook, Louisiana-Monroe 7 OG Billy McKenzie, UNC

I have 42 million left. Let’s take my 30 player roster to the free agent market and see who interests.
I sign QB Shane Dunlap to a 2 year deal and he’s starter quality but not franchise QB awesome caliber, if that makes sense. This gives me a two year patch instead of a one year one with my current QB. Shane is in his 10th year and my other QB is in his 12th. I sign the following UFA: WR Ronnie Wilkins, Alabama DT Vipersmith Maloney - Best first name ever! OG Teddy Fletcher, Oregon State C Devin May, UNC S Calvin Jameson, Western Kentucky LB Terrance Nelson, Buffalo TE George Hanson, Maryland RB Alfred Rudy, Arizona RB Ray Sanford, La Salle WR Marco May, Rice DE Les Franz, Michigan CB Bobby Farnell, Oregon Okay, let’s head to camp and then make some more signings then.

We sold 29,200 season tickets.
LB Alexander busted a bit. About 10 points in each category. Still good. TE Ronnie Meadows got a bit better. Patch time. C Ray Hampton, from Richmond, is available. I sign WR Bucky Shores to be a patch for us for a year I sign S Arnie Loniewski to be a patch for a year I sign OG Sean Godfrey to be a patch for a year as well. I sign some more UFA: TE Leroy Joseph, UCLA FB Donovan Green, Tulsa OG Randal Halas, Pittsburgh OT Deion Bauer, Boston College S Patrick Moeller, Fairmont State CB Trent Harden, Wisconsin DE Craig Morrison, California - Really good DT Dustin McDaniel, Southern Mississippi RB Daryl Hampton, Kansas State I cut WR Brandon Pettigrew I cut QB Daniel Adams, our older QB. He was making a ton and I couldn’t move him. I sign QB Reuben James to be a backup for a year. I cut RB Sammie Milliard.

The 2022 Cleveland Browns
QB Shane Dunlap - He’s alright. If we lose a lot, I hope it won’t be him. RB Calvin Garrison - He doesn’t suck. He was more of a need pick than BAP. FB Dexter Henson - He’s solid but certainly not spectacular TE Ronnie Meadows - Very green but could develop well WR Sammie Robertson - Poor at 3rd down. WR Bucky Shores - No weaknesses, no strengths except catching, which is a good strength for a WR OT JJ Boddy - He’s alright OG Junior Peters - Best of our Oline by skills C Nick Lemay - Good potential, but a bit lopsided (64 potential Run Block, 94 pot Pass Block) OG Sean Godfrey - Even more of a pass blocking specialist OT Raymond Velasquez - Ick K Charles Rasmussen - Pretty good P Leo Rayburn - Very, very good DE Tito Washington - Let’s get him some reps and grow ‘em good DT Donny Poole - Adequate DT Irving Enbysk - Could become adequate someday, right now kinda sucky DE BJ Farr - Another good potential player with some growth needed. SLB Reuben Kerr - Not a good SLB, but adequate. MLB Damon Alexander - Let’s hope our top pick can really establish dominace WLB Nate Wallace - A solid WLB by the numbers, but not great, because not that good at pass rush. CB Clifton Murphy - My old player from long ago. CB Sedrick Shell - Decent enough S Arnie Loniewski - Enhh S Aaron Harnell - He’s not good at all. PR/KR will be WR Grimshaw and WR Shores This is not a good roster

Week 1 - We win 26-16 over the Bears. S Arnie L. had a 76 yard pick and return for a score and was Game MVP. WR Bart Stewart had a TD catch. Shane Dunlap was 20 of 31 for 250 and 1:1. RB Garrison had just 57 yards. Murphy and Wilbur also had picks. I didn’t get enough runs so I increase my running percentages a bit for next week.
Week 2 - We crush Cincinnati 38-10. RB Calvin Garrison was Game MVP after rocking two TD runs including one of 87 yards, 193 yards total on 20 carries. Dunlap was 22 of 34 for 254, 1:1, which is eerily close to last week’s statline. WR Shores had 118 yards on 9 catches and Meadows had the TD. Harden had a pick. The last two week’s Offensive Players of the Week for the NFL were Richmond’s RB Grady Pender and Albuquerque’s Tony Clements. I miss Clements. Sometimes I think maybe I should have stayed with the Rail Runners. I intend to be with the Browns for the long haul. Week 3 - We lose 6-10 to the Steelers. Garrison had just 44 yards on 15 carries, again, not as many as I want. Dunlap was 13 of 33 for 139 and 0:1. DT Donny Poole had two sacks. Week 4 - We edge Baltimore 21-20 to go to 3-1 on the season with a really crappy roster. What is happening? Am me in Bizzaro NFL? Shane Dunlap was Game MVP with TD passes to Meadows and Robertson, 231 yards, no picks, 23 of 35. Garrison had our third TD on the ground and 76 yards on 17 carries. I am going to go back to the Game Plan again because I’m still not getting enough carries for the big guy. DE BJ Farr had a pick and 1.5 sacks.

Week 5 - We win against Jacksonville 20-7. This must be a chump conference. Rookie and top pick LB Damon Alexander is Game MVP with 11 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery. Farr has two more sacks. Garrison had 88 yards on 25 carries. Much better. Dunlap was knocked out of the game in the early third quarter. James, his replacement, looked good with 14 of 18, 171, 1:1 ratio. To be fair, Dunlap was 12 of 20 for 141 1:0 before leaving. Shores and Robertson each had TD catches.
We are currently way in front of the AFC Central, with a record of 4-1. The next best is Pittsburgh and Jacksonville at 2-3. I mean, what a bad conference. If we actually win the division this year with such a lousy team, I’m gonna be pissed. I want higher draft picks! Week 6 - Oh look, we beat one win Detroit 26-7. LB Nate Wallace is knocked to doubtful. S Arnie L was Game MVP again with 2 picks. Wilbur added a pick. Shores had 7 catches for 120 yards and a TD. Garrison was held to 65 yards on 22 carries. Dunlap was 24 of 33 for 291, 1:0. You know, Shane Dunlap has not been playing that poorly for a two year patch. Too bad he is in his 10th year. He continues at this rate, and I may consider keeping him around longer, you know? Week 7 - BYE Albuquerque is 5-1 and Richmond is 5-2. Week 8 - We narrowly defeat the Ravens 13-10. DT Donny Poole is Game MVP with the game’s lone sack, 7 tackles. Garrison had 70 yards on 20 carries and a TD. Dunlap had 11 of 23 for 162 and 0:0. Neither did well, but neither had the ball as much as they sometimes do. Wilbur had a pick. OG Peters had 4 KRB. Week 9 - We lose to the resurgent Jaguars 10-17. We are 6-2, and they are 6-3. Bart Stewart caught a Shane Dunlap pass for a score. Garrison had 100 yards on 23 carries. Dunlap had 3 picks (yuck).

Week 10 - We crush the Chiefs, who have a winning record and were at home, 31-13. Game MVP is CB Sedrick Shell with two picks. Arnie L and Jamieson also had picks. Garrison had 102 yards on 25 carries. Dunlap went 20 of 35 for 3:0. He hit Shores twice and Meadows for the other score.
Week 11 - We defeat three win Tennessee 24-20. WR Sammie Robertson is knocked to doubtful. Stewart will take his place in the starting lineup. Garrison has 128 yards on 21 carries plus a pair of TDs. Dunlap hits shores for a score but tosses three picks. We are held sackless. OT JJ Boddy has 4 KRB. We are now 8-2 and two games over the 6-4 Jaguars. Week 12 - We defeat the Dolphins 23-10. OT JJ Boddy is out for a while. Garrison is Game MVP with 113 yards and a score on 18 carries. Dunlap is 1:0, 203, 21 of 31. He hit Stewart for a score. Shell had a pick and we are again held sackless. Peters had 4 KRB. We are now three games above Jacksonville and Pittsburgh at 6-5. Week 13 - We even beat 9-2 New England 23-20. Rasmussen kicked a FG with 3 seconds left to give us the win. Garrison was Game MVP with 32 runs for 129 yards and a score. Dunlap hit Stewart for another score and was 20 of 31 for 258 and 1:2. OT Velasquez had 5 KRB.

Week 14 - We continue our defying season with a victory over the Steelers 26-19. Pittsburgh tied it 19-19 in the late 4th and we drove down and Garrison ran it in from 25 yard away to put us up by a TD with 51 seconds remaining. Game MVP was Shell with a pick returned for a score. Garrison was 155 on 15 carries and a score. Dunlap was knocked out during the game but had a TD pass to Wilkins before he left. We toss no picks. Harrell had a pick.
Week 15 - We have not only won the division but are currently in the top seed in the AFC. Crazy! We finally lose to the Titans 14-34. The wheels appear to have come off. Dunlap hit May and Wilkins. May had 123 yards on 4 catches. Week 16 - We edge Minnesota 15-13. Rasmussen hits 5 of 6 FG attempts and is Game MVP. We have the top spot going into the final week’s game against the Bengals. Win, and we have the #1 spot. Week 17 - We lose 23-17 in OT against the Bengals. Garrison had a TD run, LB Alexander had a pick, Peters had 4 KRB.

Individual Stats:
RB Calvin Garrison - 1420 yards (the most), 297 carries, 4.7 ypc,10 rush TD. How come the guy with the most rushing yards in the league had no All Pro love? Who did get All Pro? Guy with the 6th most rushing yards and 12 TD, and Grady Pender, the guy with the most rushing TDs at 15 and 9th most yards. I generally want to award the guy with the most Tds and the guy with the most yards as my two award winners, but that must just be me. QB Shane Dunlap, 58.6% rate, 3180 yards, 16:11 ratio, 79.8 QB Rating. This is from a fully formed 10th year veteran in his first year on the team. The good: I‘ve seen a lot of vets with much worse stats than this. His completion % is lower than where I want it, and his TD # are lower than where I’d want it, but then again, his WR targets, TE targets are not great, and the guy went down 53 times last year to sacks. It was not a good situation. I don’t place all of the blame for this so-so season at Shane’s feet, in other words. WR Bucky Shores - 786 yards, 65 grabs, 5 TD WR Bart Stewart - 6 starts, 3rd WR otherwise, 596 yards on 60 grabs, 4 TD WR Sammie Robertson - 10 starts, 35 for 540 yards, 2 TD TE Ronnie Meadows - 27 for 273, 3 TD WR Bucky Shores returned two KR TD for scores. Awesome! WR Kendrick Grimshaw had a PR TD. That gives me three special teams returns, and that is something very nice. I don’t even remember them. Let me take a look back. Week 17 - 99 yard KO return by Shores in our 23-17 loss to the Bengals. Week 6 - 109 KR RET by Shores in our 26-7 win over the Lions Week 2 - 54 yard PR TD by Grimshaw in our 38-10 win over the Bengals So none of our returns got us a win. Two were in blowouts and the third was in a loss. K Rasmussen led the league in FGs with 32 of 38. Love it! P Leo Rayburn - 6th best in PR length, 37 of 97 in the 20. Great kickers and great returners. We had a great Special Teams this year. LB Damon Alexander - 108 solo tackles, 9th most in league (most on team). 2.5 sack (most from LB), 9 pas def (most in team), 1 INT DE BJ Farr - 8 sacks DT Danny Poole - 6.5 sacks DE Tito Washington 5.5 sacks DT Irving Enbysk - 4.5 sacks DT Vipersmith Maloney was next with 3 sacks but no starts. S Arnie L. - 4 picks, 4 pasdef, 1 INT RET TD CB Sedrick Shell - 4 picks, 1 INT RET TD, 5 pasdef OG Junior Peters - 36 KRB, 5th most in league of all positions, 5 sacks allowed No one else had more than 17 KRB. Raymond Velasquez allowed 15 sacks. C Nick Lamay allowed 12. This was SUPPOSED to be a pass specialist line, but that did not happen with 53 sacks. Dunlap fumbled 10 times. Could have something to do with being sacked a lot so again, I can’t really hold that against him. This was his first year as a full starter, so I don’t have a lot of stat info from his earlier teams to use. Garrison fumbled it away 5 times, recovered it twice, and had 297 rushes, so that’s not bad.

Team Awards:
Offensive Player of the Year: OG Junior Peters - This was really a two man race, but Peters pulled in a very professional job and was our lone bright spot on the O Line. Whether pass blocking or run blocking, Peters was great both ways. Thanks Peters! Defensive Player of the Year: LB Damon Alexander - This was harder because there were no dominant players. 8 sacks was the most we had, so no sack masters to award. 4 picks the most there, so no ball hawks. However, Alexander, in his first year, led the team in tackles, led the team in passes defensed, and had a good year in rushing, so I have to really like what Damon brought this year. I was happy with his rookie performance. Special Teams Player of the Year - WR Bucky Shores - 2 KR TD, 4th highest KR average in the league among qualifiers. That is some strong running. Rookie of the Year: RB Calvin Garrison - Led the league in yards rushing, had double digit TDs and a respectable 4.7 ypc average. Garrison had a strong year and was an easy nod for this award. Heart Award: DT Vipersmith Maloney - Getting 3 sacks is par for the course for a starting DT. Getting git from a backup with no starts is really nice. Especially with a name like Vipersmith! That is a manly name.
