The Lannisters might be hoping that Stannis and us will knock each other out, with the survivor helping them against the Starks. Presumably, they'll prefer that we win the war over Stannis, but we already voted against them twice, so I'd be very surprised if they trust us.

In that case go ahead and use your PM to contact them. If they think there is any way that either Stark or Stannis will ally with them they are badly mistaken -- that was always the one true focus for them, and two Starks have win conditions that involve taking out Lannisters.

Question is where? Don't think Stark just to negotiate Brienne, I'll probably have to use my PM there.

My thought is Lannister, he is by himself now. Probably want to try and join forces, but he'll have to bend the knee to me of course instead of vice-versa.

Other thought is Greyjoy to try and get them to see that Stark/Stannis will run the board if they can and to join us, but at least to try and keep them neutral at the least.

Waiting to get our daily report before I can think about negotiating.

So what are you thinking?

As you can see I'm licking my wounds a little bit, that battle hurt us some. I don't feel the need to be loud right now while we regain a little and figure out who we want to talk to instead of talking to everybody.

I agree with you both about Joffrey and the Greyjoys. I do wonder how long Stark's patience is with Stannis.

I think one on one we'd draw with Stannis until we've recovered more. With Joffrey and/or Greyjoy we could beat him......depending on what Stark did.

My voting plan at this point is Stannis' people. We want the Greyjoys and there was a comment or two during the negotiation over you (and the final price) that has me wanting to leave Stark alone for now as well.

Now that I thought that through, I will send you to Greyjoy today -- but acknowledge here first so if you have any points to make (I need those) we can get them out of the way first.

There were hints that his support was not unlimited and may in fact be waning; especially when it came to more fighting and if we agreed on the ransom (which was actually less than I feared). Don't know that I want to go in more detail than that in here. (I wish we had a better way to talk without interceptions. Kings should be able to conference with their bannermen.)

I like the naval question for Greyjoy. We can probably rally enough men, ships are the issue against Stannis. I think I am going to use my PM today to go to Joffrey.

I'll give you a little while to read this then send you to Greyjoy. I'll signal you in main thread if needed. Feel free to PM if you need to.

I'm back. Balon has agreed to fight with us if we retreat to a land bordering the sea. He will say ship or ships in thread if he intends to raid Dragonstone, at which point we should look to raid elsewhere.

I'm about to lose internet access, and probably wont be able to do much until tomorrow morning.

Thinking about the war today. If we can get Greyjoy and Lannister to back us then we should do OK depending on how involved Stark decides to get.

Seems to me like it would be the perfect chance for him to turn on Dragonstone.
