ANOTHER FUMBLE, KSU recovers..

Although I'm going to call it, Texas will get it back as KSU never had it in possesion.

If Texas doesn't answer on this drive, no way that they'll have a chance to win.

I'd like to think this was true, but if Texas is down 14 with six minutes to go in the game, I'll still be nervous.

What a wild, wild Saturday. Simply amazing so far.

I haven't read through any of this thread, but am I the only one that thinks the second best team in the country, right now, is Arkansas?

All this talk about 'the best one loss team' really needs to be checked over again after tonight. Wow!

Cal - Check
Auburn - Check
Florida - Dang! They snuck out with a win.
Texas?
USC?

This has been a great weekend for College Football.

After today's fallout and the butt-kicking given to the Vols, I agree.

Could Rutgers have a real shot now if they win out, with these teams falling, and a little more help (a Florida loss, ND+USC)?

Texas isn't rolling over quite yet. 4 play drive for the TD. Now for the defense to step up like they started the half.

The bizaare scenario: ND, USC, and Florida all lose. The Ohio State-Michigan game is close. Possible rematch in the title game?

I've always been curious why that isn't a safety when you muff it out of the endzone? Anyone care to explain?

I'm still stuck with this bullshit Wake Forest-FSU game. It's 30-0 in the 4th quarter. I think Musberger has fallen asleep.

New QB for K-State. The guy that has been killing Texas is out with a hand injury.

Even if all of that doesn't happen(which one of ND or USC has to lose anyways) there is a possibility that it does happen. But, who knows!

I didn't see the play, but did he muff it from within the end zone or was he out of the end zone when he muffed it?

If he was in the end zone, then it makes sense, because there can't be a safety if the ball never crossed the goal line.

He muffed it at the 3, and it rolled back into the end zone where he then fell on it.

He muffed it on the three yard line and it then rolled into the endzone.

Reverse pass for TExas is WIDE open but the receiver drops it. Nicely done, too.

Yeah, in that case I don't like that rule, but I guess the idea is possession has to be established beyond the goal line before it can be a safety.

Oregon picks one off deep in the redzone and runs it back to midfield. Wowza!

That was an impressive pick for a linebacker!

Snead is 5 of 15 for 66 yards. Not good.

Very good point. OSU wins in the "Championship Game", but are they really better than UM?

Good point. But it's hard to argue against it as well if everyone else falls.

While I agree that OSU v. Michigan rematch would suck, I think it's incorrect to assume that a title game is supposed to decide the "best" team. The title game is about determining a champion on the field. That is not necessarily the same as best team.

Example: I doubt many people would say that the 83 Hurricanes were better than the 83 Cornhuskers. But the Hurricanes won the title game on the field.
