Thanks Jon. I need to get a dueling weapon for the battle, then I'll hop back to help work on the new town.

Question - Where is everyone aiming? I am currently set up facing out the fort, or should I face at our flag assuming people go there?

I hope I got things done correctly. I put my guy in one of the corner towers, where it seemed he had the highest points allocated. Then, ala Battleship, randomly clicked on one of the squares in a close target area.

Agreed. I am not sure how we're communicating this but it seems ideal.

When I am selecting my target area for the battle what do the little icons means, like the two tomahawks, the shield and whatever the other thing is. I dunno where to aim still. I was aiming near the entrance but is that ideal or what?

Wow sweet, Bill Doolin (6th ranked dueler on server and three levels higher than ne) dueled me twice today while I was in class. I won both times (pretty handily overall too) and got 500xp.

We need one of our leaders to ask La Vie about defensive strategy. I think we should go with the cluster/phalanx defense. It maximizes our situation. Everyone places their icon in the center of the fort. This requires us to move less and means offline players are less of a hinderance. It also requires the attackers to be more mobile and it makes it more important for the attackers to be online so they can move thier icons in to attack.

Just a bump for people who have West characters and are not taking part in the Fort Battle. You may as well take advantage as you can gain some serious XP apparently.

Dola, Cherrypie telegramed me asking for people to support on the towers and walls because we apparently get bonuses for keeping those under our control.

So, do we need to be monitoring anything when a fort battle occurs, or does stuff just happen automagically? 25 minutes to go until the action starts.

I believe you can make adjustments to your placement and such between rounds should you want to.

That's what I thought as well when I saw those guys get into the fort in the lower left corner. But next round they were vaporized within the first 5 seconds.

Yup, just was going to post that. It seems like there is a lot of stalling and such. At least I know what to do next time around. It didn't help my fort weapon was terrible.

Well, now all our guys are clustering and their guys are not all jumping on the wall. That seems like a good sign.

Not bad, I picked up 596 exp and two medals! I'm thinking we all got the medals.

I had 9 hits for 1,529 points inflicted and one KO.

Not sure how far I made it before I got ko'd, but I did pick up 529 xp's so that ain't bad. Also, if I'm reading the report right, I dished out 1898 in damage. So at least I gave better than I got

I did 1228 in damage (32nd among defenders) over 8 hits, while suffering 0 hits or damage, rcvd 555 XP.

Not bad considering I was nowhere around & was actually hooking up my mother-in-law's TV at the time

I think I got about 681 XP, took 0 damage and dished out around 1400. I was also responsible for 3 KOs...tied for second most. I like hiding in the middle of the fort.

Neither founder in Troutville is active at this point. Might want to get one of them to "pass the hat" if you want to keep the town alive.

Just a quick note. Folks have decided to stop by the new developing town and shoot me up whilst I and others build the town.. 3x in two days. I didnt get blown out, but, I almost won 2 of them, but I was garbed in builders setup.

They didnt get much money from me, but, frustrating nonetheless.

FYI.

Who are the shooters? If they are in my range I'll retaliate with a potshot back in their direction.

Danny, congrats on cracking the Top 20 duelers. I thought I went on a crazy rampage yesterday shooting up six people only to see that you had +7 on your ratio ... you are making it very challenging to meet your pace.

DataKing, welcome back to the world of shooting people.

Has development on Dolaville ground to a halt? I have not seen it move in the town rankings for a few days now ...

Sweet, this is the most I have ever gotten in one duel. He bushwacked me while I was in Grizzly Bear Hunting gear, is 8 actual levels higher than me and is a melee dueler with a weapon the does on average 20 points more damage. I must have really lucked out on the random part. He must have been pissed when he saw the results
