Is it possible to give away a game you bought? Like transfer ownership? I've got a game or two on here that I know I'll never play, someone should get some use out of it.

PUBGUBS is a blast. The city mode they've talked about adding things really good too, fights among the buildings in the towns in the map have been some of the most fun in the game. https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/201...meteoric-rise/ Quote:

One of the most exciting things in PUBGUBS is being in a house when two people come in using the in game voice chat while you and your teammate are on Discord. Hearing them discuss their plans to open the door and toss a smoke grenade makes things a bit easier.

I've landed in a weird place with Steam. I used to fall for these zillions of sales, and I have a library full of games I haven't even downloaded, much less played. Standard.
However, I do have much more idle time with my iPad in hand, than my laptop. So, I am finding myself intrigued when some PC game gets ported over to the iOS platform. Fairly often it's the same game that I bought long ago on Steam and never really got into. But on the iPad, maybe I'll get my $5 worth after all. The self-selecting nature of this (what games merit the attention to port over) feels a bit like shopping at Costco...someone else did the work to narrow down my choices, and my limited selections all tend to be pretty good. Anyway... Prison Architect is the latest of these, but one in a fairly long series. |

Let me know if anybody is interested in these games on Steam - I'll give them at like 50-60-75% off retail: Pillars of Eternity, Armello, Dark Souls II, Gal Civ III, Brigador, Plague Inc, Shoppe Keep, Superhot, Punch Club Deluxe, Inside

I got down to the final two in PUBG.
Me behind a tree. I saw the last guy, got him with a couple of shots. He didn't die. I advanced, got behind another tree for cover. I had him pinned behind a rock. I primed a grenade, sliding out to throw it...and he popped out, and one shot me in the head. Game over. ...fuck. |

I've only recently put the Steam authenticater app on my phone, so been racing through my backlog of things to sell in my inventory. After a few days I've made $9.17
Tried to add another thing to sell and got a message that I couldn't sell any more without adding details to my Steam account, apparently you can't sell over 200 items without adding tax details. |

Is this Playerunknown Battlegrounds? And if so do you need a controller to play? Last edited by BYU 14 : 07-28-2017 at 05:29 PM. |

Yes it is. You don't need a controller and things like managing your inventory and aiming are going to be much easier with a mouse and keyboard, though controller support was recently added. |

Does anyone have any recommendations for a 6-year old? Maybe something fun but educational? He's really into trains so I was thinking one of those train simulators.

Shattered Planet has been on my Steam wishlist for quite a while. So when it went to 90% off (through the 7th I think)-$1.49 or so, thought it was a good time to check it out. Nice little roguelike where you are a clone activated earlier than expected by an unknown voice and wake up on a random planet.
Gameplay is very light so far-the planet is made up of small squares some of which have loot on them, or metals-which you use back on your starship when you die (and you find out who the voice is)-and get random loot depending on how much you spent. You also find crystals, which can be used on the starship to increase your stats. You of course will find monsters which will gladly kill you (though not all). Stay in the space you are in when they get close so that you can attack first when they get a space away. Various planets/levels can kill you too-various helmets provide protection against that. There are various classes, only two of which are available from the first time you visit the starship. You can access others as you gain enough research points, which you get every time you encounter something new on the planet. There are varying difficulties, and a daily challenge to win a bunch of materials if you survive to level 10 of the random planet you are sent to-they give you some equipment that you must use at the start. You also have a stash on the starship where you can save things for the next clone to use. Fun light game well worth the $1.50 so far.

Path of Exile 3.0 and Harbinger League started an hour and a half ago. If you like arpg's and have never tried POE, this is the time. Largest expansion to date and have added 6(?) new acts, completely removing the need to play thru the main story three times to unlock each new difficulty (ala D3, Grim Dawn etc). Im a huge fan of POE, and this is by far the best update they've done to date. Servers are getting swamped tho, most hyped update yet yadda yadda.

I just got back into PoE recently, as I seemingly do every year. It's an obviously great game, but there's something that stops me from enjoying it fully....I honestly think it gives me hand cramps and carpal tunnel symptoms unlike any other game I've played in my life. I wish I could target opponents continuously without having to release the mouse button, so much clicking.

I completely understand why people were angry with the developer at the time. I think though that this now is the game people would have been happy with (with the exception of multiplayer) if it had come out like this then. Its a small company and the guy just got in over his head with all his promises of what the game was like. If the original game had been labelled early access, I don't think many people would have had a problem with it. (well other than the cost) I probably would have been angry too if I had been following this game from the start. But I thought it was a Playstation exclusive when it came out, so my first exposure to it was the now infamous trailer that promised so much. It's a game not a life-saving drug-give it a chance. Take a look at the new trailer and some of the Let's plays on YouTube and Twitch and see if its where you thought the game should have been a year ago.

People also forget that a flood basically destroyed the game when it was pretty far along in development, making it even less likely that they could deliver on the myriad promises they made back at the beginning. The fact that they have supported and plan to continue supporting the game is respectable. They deserve any good will that they have earned through the work the have put in despite being shit on so heavily over the last year or so.

It's a space exploration game-that in the trailer at least-you were promised varied planets full of strange and varied flora and fauna-the trailer showed a river with dinosaur-like creatures and vivid trees and plants, and other people who were there to explore, or trade, or sight-see. The problem was that most of that did not exist when you started the game. You usually ended up on very barren flat toxic, irradiated or too hot or too cold world-often without water. The story was you were an explorer with a broken-down spaceship/explorer. You wake up from a crash-landing and set out to explore the world to complete the first few quests to get your spaceship back in spaceworthy condition and move further into the galaxy-where supposedly worlds like the trailer existed, and you'd run into other players. There are three (now four with the latest patch) alien races you encounter over time, and in theory you learn their languages as you go, and find out their history and a central mystery concerning something called Atlas. Problem was that there was not a whole lot of story behind the aliens (there's more now). And all those other players you could meet? Very rarely happened and couldn't do much together if you did. There was supposed to be a Minecraft-like element to the game where you could have a base (which was hard to get back to) build technology and do things like farm, but again at the beginning there were just the bare bones of it. Etcetera. Now I think the game is a lot closer to the things promised in that first trailer. There's a mission/quest system and three guilds you can gain favor with (and then more advanced quests). You can settled down on a world and farm and mine and ignore the whole Atlas mystery if you want. The beginnings of true multiplayer have begun with the latest patch with the promise of more to come. It's fairly easy to get back to your base now. Different and often bizarre looking creatures are found sooner in your explorations, etc. Check out You-Tube for Let's Plays using the new patch. I'm currently watching CheckPoint's Let's Play there. Original trailer: No Manā€™s Sky - Launch Trailer | PS4 - YouTube This is the trailer for the new patch: No Man's Sky - Atlas Rises - YouTube It can be played on PC or Playstation. Be warned that the system requirements can be steep on PC. I can't play it due to lack of memory and video-card memory.
