The Yankees just ripped the heart right out of Texas here in Game #1. That's about as devastating of an inning we'll ever see.

Man, this team has absolutely no idea what to do on the big stage. I'm embarrassed for them. Only thing they're missing is the pee stains on their pants.

Rangers post game loud speakers blasting some country song. Gotta love Texas it's a whole other country.

Well, looks like the Rangers shrugged off game 1 and came out today to win. I was looking for a 1-1 from these first 2, just expected it to be the other way. Cliffy needs to get the job done Monday, and someone needs to steal another in NY so they can come home and finish this off in 6.

And the band box known as Citizens Bank Park strikes already.

Are you trying to tell me the HR Ruiz hit would have left other yards? If so you might want to choose a different article as it supports my thought that HR's come easier there than other parks.

I was discussing how easy it is to score runs. It's not as easy to do that as many think, and while it's still a hitter's park, it's not as big a one as many seem to think.

You're acting as if the Giants are playing in some other park tonight and only the Phillies are getting this advantage.

That wasn't my point. Obviously both teams can get the same benefit, but in a pitcher's dual like tonight any cheap HR that is hit in this park is a big thing.

Ross has hit two that would be out in most parks. Ruiz hit one that wouldn't leave most yards. Now if a the Giants hit a cheapy I'd say the same thing.

I have money on the Giants and am quite happy with that turn of events but the Phillies got screwed there. That pitch not only registered as a strike on their computer thing but looked even more down the middle live. The ump missed that one bad.

I have to say, I love that Andres Torres uses a 35-inch bat. I have used a 35-inch bat that I have used for the last two seasons, and absolutely love it. I have a 36-inch bat too, but rarely use it.

dola--

I meant to say, at the beginning of the game, that this ump's strike zone wouldn't allow the pitchers to nibble. Turns out it has really hampered both of them...Halladay moreso, I would say, but Lincecum wasn't getting things in the beginning.

Crap. Werth got that one as Timmy left it over the plate.

And back to chewing all my nails...

Yea this zone has been small and the low strike is definitely not there.

As a ground-ball pitcher myself, I absolutely hate when I don't get the low strike. It usually ends in...well, what we're seeing here tonight (far more line drives than there should be between these two).

I'd rather see Ramirez here and let Wilson focus on just the ninth...Just have a bad feeling...

Giants baseball = torture. And Torres AB with the bases loaded was just ridiculous - my grandma knew Lidge was throwing a slider.

Also Brian frigging Wilson - really?

Is it possible to watch the game tonight online somewhere? Those scumbags over at News Corp and Cablevision can't reach an agreement, so for the time being Cablevision is no longer carrying Fox. Already missed the game last night, the Giants today, but I would like to catch some of these NLCS pitching matchups. Any recommendations?

This game is going to come down to how Sanchez pitches. If he's in the strike zone and his splitter is working, then that's good news for the Giants.

If he reverts to his former wild self, then this one could get ugly quick.

And the Phillies fans can stop bitching about that Halladay non-strike call last night as that pitch that walked in a run was more in the strike zone.

It definitely got most of the bottom part of the zone according to the fox pitch tracker. The strike zone last night was very unfriendly to the low strike all night.

Rollins & Victorino have to step up big tonight, although that was a solid at-bat by Howard to load the bases in the 1st.

Is Sanchez always like this? Must be frustrating to watch as it looks like he has good stuff hidden in there but is so all over the place.

And yes, Sanchez is always like this. Typically it's more either/or - he's either really on or really wild - but lately he's been sprinkling the two together more.

Okay. Fontenet has lost his place in the order. Panda can do the exact same thing that he has done at the plate (NOTHING) with the added bonus of potential power and can field equally.

Time for a change in game 3.
