Likewise! It's been sitting untouched in my Steam library for months now. I loved the original. A friend and I played through all of it together. Took almost 100 hours. The next one will be three friends and I. I reckon it will take as long or longer to complete. Can't wait to finally start it up!

They just had New and Tasty a little while back. Surprised there's another that fast but that seems to be the game biz nowadays. It's a brilliant game tho. Outlast and Outlast:Whistleblower are free on HB now. The links are currently down as I speak but they will probably get them up soon. Those are survival horror games with lots of blood on the floor. Creepy for sure esp with the darkness and confined spaces you crawl around in . THe game engine is solid. |

Up to about 20 hours in Original Sin 2 now and it's a lock for my game of the year and I put it on par with Planescape: Torment and Baldur's Gate 2. It's that good.
I was expecting something that expands on Original Sin, but I wasn't really expecting it to crack the top 5 RPGs I've played. Just a heads up for those that may be interested, it's really fucking difficult at times. It's not a modern RPG where it does everything it can to make sure you level at a nice pace and it holds your hand from encounter to encounter so that you aren't fighting things that are too difficult. I've run into several encounters that I had no way of beating and had to reload and go back to later. I haven't even looked into the dungeon master tools and the modding that's going to be possible with those. |

I haven't had much time to play, but the intro area is pretty well done. Even early on it's easy to see they force you to make some impactful decisions. And I am getting my butt kicked on Classic (have not touched Tactical). |

Not sure why I didn't grab Mad Max back when it was released. I mean, it's basically "Post Apocalypse Far Cry", but it's a lot of mindless fun.

Humble does give you Steam keys, so I'd put it closer to something like greenmangaming.com

not exactly. well half of it is. There is "The humble store" which has saleprices on games. But that's not where the meat of the site is. They have these "humble bundles" where you pay what you want in levels and the more you pay the more you get. So for $1 you get 3-4 games. FOr the medium level (usually 5-8) you get a few more and for the high level (11-15) you get even more and the highest level is usually the best game. And the other cool part is you can choose where your money goes. If you leave it at default it splits your money (not evenly) between the game authors, the humble site, and the charity selected by the game (I honestly don't know who chooses it). But you can adjust the percentages of what goes where. You can also change the charity to one you want. They have a huge list. I typically pick an animal charity. I've gotten quite a bit of cool indie stuff with the $1 games. They also have books and comic books in a different area. Lastly there is the humble monthly which is a russian roullette grab bag of a bunch of titles. YOu pay a monthly fee and they tell you i think 1 big title in the bundle. I don't do this tho as it's more pricey and I haven't heard of a lot they give. BUt you do get a lot. Also, Also...humblebundle gives you steamkeys...which you can just give to others or trade or whatever. (and get cards!) gog...has sales of old games. And the term "old" keeps expanding of course. But you can't transfer these games to steam. However you CAN transfer steam games to your gog account/library. |

<3 Always willing to help others feed their addiction Incidently they add a new bundle either game of book every week and they last for about two weeks. The MIDDLE price depends on the CURRENT average donation I think. Thus if everyone's just buying the $1 level the price keeps lowering for the middle price. I don't like the current bundle right now. Not interested in reliving the political machine :P The previous one I got and the one before that I think I went middle level. Oh yeah The Game Apotheon is amazing. Highly recommended. |

Having seen the demo played through 3-4 times, I've soured a bit on Frostpunk. It's basically a limited city builder with a little more ambience and character. The depth isn't there -- but I admit it's early.

New bundle up. I suspect getting the middle one right away might be better. it's only 4 bucks now. THat might increase.
Unfortunately this one does not let you choose your own charity but you can still adjust how much goes to each. |

For my fellow D&D fans, there is a new game out of note: Tales from Candlekeep-Tomb of Annihilation. 15% off on Steam. It is a turn-based dungeon crawler, where each new tile is revealed as you go and random generated. Tomb of A is the latest campaign setting for D&D-set in the Forgotten Realms country/area known as Chult. It is a place where dinosaurs roam and many unique monsters. They have been releasing a ton of stuff for it this summer, and have been doing many livestreams of adventuring groups running adventures in it:

And I think the largest discount yet I've seen on the base game-70% off.

For whatever it's worth I bought the expansion & I've spent the last hour trying to launch it without any luck, and it seems to be a common issue with the renderer. Reduce enthusiasm accordingly.

I just ran into this free game on Steam called The Desolate Hope. Really slick Metroid style platform shooter adventure. The visuals just suck you in. It was made by the guy that did the Five Nights at Freddy's stuff. He is very very good at creepy stunning visuals. Pretty solid game especially for free.

It's the 10th anniversary of Witcher, and both Steam and GOG.com offering big discounts this week, so check them both if you have been waiting for a sale.

New humble bundle up. It's all-Aussie games
The middle price is the lowest I've ever seen it. Oh but ARmello....so tempted...but worth $9? Would anyone happen to have an extra copy to trade for other games? |

I finished Original Sin 2 at 89 hours according to Steam. The amount of content in the game is staggering as far as CRPGs go and I look forward to playing through again at some point. Easily cracks my top 5 RPGs ever.
RPS had a a short preview of Kingdom Come: Deliverance up and it sounds like it has the potential to be an incredible game: https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/201...e-skill-trees/ |

Humble is having a Paradox sale.
If you can wrap your brain around the games, this is a great time to buy.

I used:
Fane (primary) - Necro/Pyro Lohse - Hydro/Summoner Sebile - Scoundrel Red Prince - Warfare (1 hand and shield) with a touch of Geomancer Had to respec Sebile to huntsman to help clear one encounter. Last edited by Atocep : 11-04-2017 at 01:19 PM. |

Blood Bowl sounds like something I would enjoy but ive never pulled the trigger on any of them. Is the single player mode fun? The reviews on steam are mixed and ive read a lot of complaints about dlc. thoughts?
plus, bb2 is on sale for 10 through monday. ive been saving my game dollars for switch titles so im so on the fence here.

BB is fun to play, but also has some crucial issues that may prevent you from having any fun, depending on your expectations. Personally, I like to play single player campaign style, and the in-game AI is mediocore but passable, but the sim AI is a joke, to the point that I literally can't/don't enjoy the game and won't play it anymore, even though I love some of the mechanics and overall gameplay. For 5-10 hours you can have a lot of fun, and then as you get more familiar with the game its wrinkles become more apparent, and a few hours later they're impossible to ignore. FWIW I haven't played any BB2, but have read that the AI/backend issues remain relatively unchanged.
