Yes. He's been like this his whole career, but he has been much more consistent in the second half of this season after adding the split finger.

Was he waiting for Sanchez to direct traffic? Looked like nothing was being said until almost the time the ball hit I see Sanchez says something in his direction but it was too late at that point.

With that said, that has to be his ball all the way. Maybe the catcher coming out a little is what made him initially slow up (not wanting to collide if the catcher was going after it).

WTF? Is this ump blind?

Pretty bad when the batter is surprised too...

I like how everyone on the field except the ump thought that was a strike. Both pitcher and hitter moving towards the dugout.

Jesus Sanchez, finish off Oswalt already.

Giants need a spark. Hopefully Burrell can start a rally with a double.

How much of a jackass does an umpire feel like at that point?

Was hoping that at bat was going to be Myers vs. CC, but not to be.

Sorry, he was always one of those players that I just had a feel for when he was going to hit one out. I suddenly had that feeling again befre that last pitch.

I guess I was a hitter too early for that feeling...

Dear Homeland Security,

There is a man named Cody Ross who will be traveling to San Francisco soon. I have heard from reliable sources that he is part of a terrorist plot; an attack which will be going down once he gets to San Francisco. He should be detained indefinitely.

Sanchez needs to stop wasting energy with that hack.

At least they got Oswalt to work a bit this inning.

Bullpen battle to ensue shortly.

Someone tell Shane Victorino the playoffs started, thanks.

EDIT: 36 seconds later...double. Now, someone tell Chase Utley that the playoffs have started, thanks.

And I was just about to say that this would be the key half inning.

Sanchez goes 1-2-3 and the Giants keep the momentum with their top of the order coming up.

Howard is swinging well tonight, that is promising. Now the rest of the team needs to do a little more.

Time for Torres to wake up. He's looked pathetic all post season.

There is a man named Cody Ross who is hitting unlike Cody Ross so he must have been replaced by a doppleganger

I thought Perlozzo was going to tackle Oswalt on the third base line.

It would have hit the mound, causing it to be unpredictable. I don't think Ramirez anticipated Oswalt to be running, hence the hesitation in the throw.

Yeah, upon further review, it should have been cut off. The throw to Huff in the first place was weak as hell though. Oswalt should never have scored on that play.

Oh duh, I meant Huff. My bad; I'm a 1B...I should've been thinking about that. ; )

I really don't think Huff anticipated this; if you look, he looks at second first, then turns home, and does so slowly. He did not seem prepared to make a play at home.

The Giants have done much to help themselves defensively tonight. And that is a recipe for disaster in a low scoring game.
