Agreed. I was half tempted to make a long post there, and then decided Daivd took the right course of action. Comparing these two releases is so laughable.

Yeah, it is also good to see that he is still supporting the game after all this time. He has toned down quite a bit in the last few months and deals with difficult people much better now. If you look at GWsFBA's posts and how David handles them, his responses are actually coming off much more professional. While I still think it was unexcusable to release the game in the state it was in, he could possibly have a decent game in another year or two.

And this is how Maximum Football ends. With a giant bug.
Kinda fitting, when you think about it.

So...did the ultra secret, gold-plated beta version 3.15 patch ever get released?

In a sick way, I'm sure Bubba does not regret this thread as it made him part of FOFC history and lore.

Terrible jbmagic impression. The "is" ruins the illusion.

This is the thread. This is the Golden Era right here boys. There will never be another thread that tops this thread at FOFC. The Threadkiller thread doesnt even come close to this baby. How much farther will this thread go? 200 Pages? 1000 pages? This thread will live on forever.

Dola - even when jb posts a *funny* parody of himself, he screws it up and gets called out on it. This thread pwns.

Kudos jb, well done. Only jb could create a self parody that was unintentially more intelligible than the real thing, classic. Last edited by Oilers9911 : 11-27-2006 at 03:14 PM. |

How many people are paying close attention to this thread just so they can try to get the first post on page 100?

This thread has been near death for ages. The only people posting are those that are dying to see it reach 100.
Except me, of course. We need some more actual MF content to get this thread going again. As it stands now, it's just a lot of people posting for no reason. Except me, of course. |

I think that 5,000 posts will probably be the symbolic breaking point. I can't see much effort to keep this going after that.
Speaking of Maximum Football, what is up with Maximum Football? I've popped over the the Matrix Forums once or twice, but I get too creeped out by that JAsoNGreAtGODiHavEAFreAKISHlylOnGSCreeNNAmeAndOhYeahByTHEWaYIAmTotallyBATShiTinSaneSTartInGNOvemBer32nd2056 guy. I got a sense that the game was starting to be pretty playable after the open beta. Am I right about that? |

Not too sure. The ones saying that it is playable are the ones who are convinced that the game was fairly solid, and only needing a few tweaks, back when it was released.

Agreed. And still there is no demo to speak of. Even after his most recent patch. It may actually be playable, but it makes you wonder if he is just afraid to put a demo out there because he fear more criticism.

Well after a short glance at the public beta forum I came across a problem where QBs can't hit receivers in stride on any type of crossing pattern. It looks like a lot of things are better, but it still has a long way to go.
