If there's a better musical "guilty pleasure"...

...than Kylie Minogue, I don't know what it is.

Her music is just good, clean, enjoyable pop.

1. Pronouncing David Bowie as BAU-EEE at the grammy nominations.

2. Saying she's punk, but saying she doesn't care that she doesn't know who the Sex Pistols are. Her response "Why should I?"

I think she's the worst thing to happen to music in a long, long time.

Ben Folds' version of Careless Whisper kicks ass!

I think this will work

If not, go to benfoldsweb.com, and click your way to the media downloads section. I think he played it at the 10/16/02 show in DC.

I like Avril, screw the I'm a punk personality, I haven't ever seen her videos or seen an interview with her, but her CD is very good.

There's a video somewhere of Kylie Minogue and Geri Halliwell kissing. Now that's entertainment.

I think Kylie Minogue made a version of "Locomotion". As for Gerri Halliwell, apart from the spice girls thing, I don't know either.

She's punk.....BWAHAHAHAH....what an idiot.

I don't think I have a guilty pleasure. I'm very open about my tastes in music.

god i cannot stand avril she has got to be the most blatantly marketed artist i have seen in a while. Looks to me like she went into hot topic and went on a shopping spree. Now she's punk, because punk is trendy now... sheesh. And her songs? oh sure they're catchy, but they are so cheesey and cookie cutter. It's like how's 'a punk song supposed to go? oh like this? ok, but lets make it less angry and not so full of emotion. grrrrr

Unfortunately, I know what the porn star Halliwell sounds like. I meant I don't think I've heard Avril ... nor do I really care to.

Avril sounded horrible live on the MTV New Year thing, she had to compete with the street P.A. playing Billy Joel, never a good sign...Avril started out in country music, but I guess music producers thought she was more profitable in pop, plus she's a wholesome image, I'm sure she'll break away just like Brit and Christina did...

I don't like "Sk8tr Boi" that much, but I like the other two Avril songs I've heard. I think she's not as interesting, though, as some of the other young female alternative artists, like Michelle Branch, Vanessa Carlton, and Norah Jones.

Yeah, 3 girls who will hear alot of in the future.

1. Avril Lavigne

2. Michelle Branch

3. Vanessa Carlton

All three can sing and all three are what we have to look forward too.

(Did I mention that all three are very attractive young ladies)

Enjoy it while you can, isn't Kazaa the newly targeted file-exchanger by the the music company lawyers?

When I first heard a Kylie Minogue song, I assumed she would be a one hit wonder. That was about 15 years ago, so I guess I was wrong.

Anyway, I am not a fan, but I think her best song was "Some Kind of Bliss" released back in '97. It is different to her usual stuff, but in my opinion that makes it much better.

Yeah, Kylie is a guilty pleasure here. Only when I pop a Kylie CD in, it's the 1988 classic "Kylie" with "The Locomotion," "I Should Be So Lucky," "It's No Secret" and others.

Have I ever mentioned I listen to crap?

It's weird that Avril mispronounced David Bowie cause one of her hit songs has a part that's a lot like the chorus to life on mars.
