A sad, sad day....Boulevard Brewery acquired by Duvel Moortgat......

Hate to see this. I'm sure the investment group made millions, but it was still nice to have it locally owned.

Duvel is actually a pretty decent beer.

I definitely liked Boulevard when I was down in KC even though us Wisconsinites tend to view any beer made in Missouri as swill

I don't think this is necessarily a bad thing. Duvel is pretty excellent and looking for growth potential with this. The only change I think will be seen is more money being pumped into the brewery.

Yea, Duvel is solid. I think they own Ommegang and they still put out really solid stuff. Just be glad it wasn't Miller or InBev buying it.

i visited Ommegang within the first couple months after they opened, and they were only making 3 beers, all by hand, all of which were excellent, and still to this day some of my favorites...went back a couple years later, after they had been bought by Duvel Moortgat, and until someone pointed it out to me on the label, i had no idea...every thing was running the same, everything was the same quality, and everything had the same attention to detail they had when they were a small shop...now they make over a dozen awesome belgian style craft beers and are probably the best belgian style brewer on the east coast

Boulevard is a good brewery and i dont think you have anything to worry about
