This one launched the careers of many (or at least helped them along).

Yeah, I would have liked to get Slap Shot, too, but I used my 1970s range and time range Wild Card already.

A great, laugh-a-minute movie. Really boosted the profiles of Zach Galifianakis, Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Ken Jeong.

I figured someone would find a way to nab this one by the end of the draft.

Tapatalk does not show second bold tags apparently. I had that problem earlier when I thought Ghostbusters was still available.

I posted a romantic comedy first but switched to a sports movie within a few minutes as I realized my sports movie had not yet been picked. I wanted to be honest about the switch in case anyone takes issue. Let me know fellas...

Partially a musical as well, which you wouldn't expect in a movie starring Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood. Set in California gold rush times, Marvin and Eastwood share a wife, as well as a plan to enrich themselves.

I have never seen this film, but I have seen the Simpsons lampoon it when Homer thought he was bringing home a classic Eastwood western lol. I have no idea how close the Simpsons' characterization is, but it is hilarious.

It might have not been the first rom com, but it is often considered the best one.

Sorry guys, got buried at work. Trying to get the front page updated. You guys are flying along, and I can't speak for each pick, but that 8th round had some tremendous late value picks. Also, I think that round shows our ages. That would look more like the first or second round with a younger demographic.

My final pick is one of the great all-time movies. It is the film that Charlie Chaplin himself hoped he was most remembered for. It tells the tale of the Little Tramp making his way to the gold mines of the Klondike in the late 1800s. Even if you've never seen the movie, you surely have seen the clip of the cabin teetering on the edge of a cliff. My pick to wrap up my draft is:

10.3 The Gold Rush, Historical, Before 1960

It had comedic elements, IMO, although, like Pulp Fiction, it was one I wouldn't think of first as a comedy.
