I dunno about remakes, per se, but a subset of them (resets) have been doing pretty well lately: Batman, James Bond, Star Trek, etc

Not as bad as I feaerd. It's a different story. Even the "original" Karate Kid was probably inspired by something. There's no new ideas for movies left.

Agreed with all 3 of those posts. Trailer didn't look nearly as bad as I expected before I viewed it. |
