I would assume it would be a combination of foreign relations crisis with the Russians pardoning the man who killed their representatives along with Jack just going too far this time in executing people in sometimes brutal fashion to him killing some people that were innocent most likely in the cover up.

Guys who have killed a ton of people aren't likely to qualify for a pardon anyway.

edit: Sorry, I opened this thread before JS or Alan responded, and didn't post right away.

I'm not going to listen to you, you ruined Jack's life, President Logan!

It is ok President Logan. Tough luck on the way you ended up in the show though.

I'm just really sad that Jack didn't pull the trigger on Logan. I was practically jumping up and down for him to do it. Otherwise, I loved the series finale, although I now have no clue what's going to replace it in my viewing schedule. I need to go back and watch the first 3 seasons, I guess, as I missed those.

Those were definitely some of the best - granted, I loved the entire series, but it was really great those first few seasons. I will definitely be going back and watching them, but there will certainly be a big hole on Monday nights now
