I would assume it would be a combination of foreign relations crisis with the Russians pardoning the man who killed their representatives along with Jack just going too far this time in executing people in sometimes brutal fashion to him killing some people that were innocent most likely in the cover up.

Guys who have killed a ton of people aren't likely to qualify for a pardon anyway.

What bothered me:

They have a hit on Jack. In carrying out the hit they kill everybody around him, throw a hood on him & remove him to a private area where they can kill him. In my non-professional assasin head, I would think that one more bullet on the scene would have neatly wrapped things up right there without prolonging the chance of getting caught or stopped.

But then that's just another minor plot hole.

I'm just really sad that Jack didn't pull the trigger on Logan. I was practically jumping up and down for him to do it. Otherwise, I loved the series finale, although I now have no clue what's going to replace it in my viewing schedule. I need to go back and watch the first 3 seasons, I guess, as I missed those.

I was having a serious WTF moment there as well. Then I thought maybe Logan wanted to have him tortured but that didn't seem to tbe the case and I was right back to WTF.

Those were definitely some of the best - granted, I loved the entire series, but it was really great those first few seasons. I will definitely be going back and watching them, but there will certainly be a big hole on Monday nights now
