Kellen WInslow, Jr. -- Now, about that incentive-laden contract...

It appears that our "warrior" lost a battle with a parking lot curb.

Doesn't he have an incentive to break Ki-Jana Carter's record for most games missed?

Good draft, quality owner, new coach, good offseason moves. Now I'm not sure whats up with their line or defense, but they have a decent blend on offense adding Droughns and Edwards and hopefully having Winslow over the middle.

You mean Droughns the holdout? That's a nice move. Trade for a system RB who immediately holds out.

Oh, didnt realize he was holding out. Cleveland sucked ass over the last several years, its pretty obvious. All I'm saying is that they made some good moves, and this happening hurts pretty bad. I hate the Browns anyways.

Yep, he's one of a handful of guys Rosenhaus has holding out right now. TO being the big one, of course. I'm not fond of them either, but I fear with Savage around, the bad decisions may start to dwindle. Unless that dirty Cuyahoga water rots his mind.

That was a terrible move. I would never trade for RB from Denver, much less one that was already crying for a new contract.

When all is said and done, I think William Green will be the Browns leading rusher this year. Droughins will look horrible when and if he comes back and Suggs will get hurt very early on, again. Green appears to have everything back in order and could be the back he was during the second half of his rookie year.

Sharpie, it will be either Trent Dilfer or rookie Charlie Frye. So in retrospect, having Winslow uninjured wouldn't matter.

This story will be just too funny if he ends up owning the Browns a large portion of his signing bonus.

That will probably be the case, because it says specifically in his contract that he can't ride motorcycle.

There is actually reports now that he was seen earlier that day at a motorcycle show in Canton (approx. 60 miles from where he crashed) with a bunch of more expereinced riders who were popping wheelies, and when Winslow left the show he did a wheelie going about 50 mph. I guess there are several people who can back up the story as he made no secret at the show about being Winslow.

Heard on the radio not long ago that he's still in the hospital with a swollen shoulder and a swollen leg...both so swollen that an MRI can't be done on either part yet.

Doesn't sound life threatening at all, but certainly could be career threatening...

Some new reporting on the incident (summarized by pro football talk):

Quote:
Our buddy Pat McManamon of The Akron Beacon Journal reports that Browns tight end Kellen Winslow's motorcycle wreck was the final incident of a long day of riding his relatively new toy.

Per McManamon, Winslow had driven his motorcycle to Canton on Sunday and visited a "bike superstore." Upon leaving the store, an off-duty cop saw Winslow pop a wheelie.

"I looked at the guy working with me and said, 'That's a million-dollar wheelie,'" Eric Stanbro told McManamon.

Winslow held the wheelie for about 100 feet, and the bike was moving fast at the time.

"He gunned it,'' Stanbro said. "He was going real fast. I'd estimate between 40 and 50 miles per hour."

But Winslow appeared to be a novice rider. "It appeared to us he was riding with a bunch of very experienced riders,'' Stanbro said. "The way they were dressed, their bikes. His bike had a 30-day tag on. He looked a little uncertain."

Possible torn ACL. Done for season if that's the case.

If he is gone, then I am interested to see how the Browns handle it. On the one hand, they could use the cap relief that getting his bonus and salary back will bring. On the other hand, I am sure that his agents are telling the Browns Front Office that if they don't "do the right thing" and honor his contract (despite the fact that he breached it), they will do everything that they can to portray the Front Office as cheap, callous, and penny pinching to future free agents.

Reports have been saying that the day of the accident Winslow was in a bike shop watching a video called Star Boyz. The Star Boyz are a Clevand area crotch rocket stunt team, the funny thing I found out today is I used to know their team manager.

So let me get this straight...

Winslow hit Jim's garage door, knocked his entire home off its foundation and took out a pole?
